1 Tala, mobebisi azali koya kosala yo mabe! Batela malamu bandako na yo batonga makasi, kengela nzela na yo, bongama mpo na bitumba mpe sangisa bato na yo.
The destroyer is come up against thee to enclose [thee] with works of siege: look out on the way, make thy loins strong, strengthen [thyself] greatly with power.
2 Yawe akozongisa lisusu nkembo ya Jakobi mpe ya Isalaele, atako babebisaki mpe bapanzaki mokili na bango, mpe atako babebisaki bilanga na bango ya vino.
For the Lord bringeth back again the excellency of Jacob, as also the excellency of Israel; for the plunderers have plundered them, and have wasted branches of their vines.
3 Banguba mpe bilamba ya basoda na bango ezali ya langi ya motane; bibende ya bashar na bango ezali kongenga na mokolo oyo babongisi mpo na bitumba, mpe makonga basala na nzete ekomi kotambola bipai na bipai.
The shields of his mighty men are made red, the valiant men are [clothed] in scarlet: with the fire of the steel the chariots [glitter] on the day when he prepareth himself [for battle], and the spears are shaken.
4 Bashar ezali kokota na elulu na nzela, ezali kokende mpe kozonga na bisika oyo bato ebele bakutanaka; ezali komonana lokola koni oyo ezali kopela moto, ezali kotambola na bangambo nyonso lokola mikalikali.
In the streets the chariots rush madly along, they rattle through the public places: their appearance is like torches, they run along like the lightnings.
5 Abengi basoda na ye nyonso ya mpiko. nzokande, na nzela na bango, bazali kotepatepa, bazali kokende na lombangu pene ya mir.
He will summon his valiant men, they shall stumble in their walk: they hasten to her walls, and the covering for defence is prepared.
6 Bikuke ya ebale efungwami, mpe ndako na ye ya bokonzi ebukani.
The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.
7 Ekatami ete engumba wana ekokende na bowumbu mpe bakomema yango mosika penza; basali na yango ya basi bakolela lokola bibenga mpe bakomibeta batolo likolo ya pasi.
And the queen is carried away into exile stripped of her attire, and her maids moan as with the voice of doves, striking their hand upon their breast.
8 Na kala, engumba Ninive ezalaki lokola liziba ya mayi. Kasi tala yango lelo oyo: etoboki mpe ekomi kobimisa mayi! Bazali kobelela: « Botelema! Botelema! » Kasi ata moto moko te azongi lisusu kuna.
And Nineveh was like a pool of water from the days that she existed: yet now they flee. “Stand, stand,” [shall they cry, ] but none shall look back.
9 Bobotola wolo mpe palata na yango na makasi, pamba te bomengo na yango ezali penza mingi koleka mpe etonda na biloko ya motuya.
Plunder silver, plunder gold; for without end are the treasures, there is an abundance of all precious vessels.
10 Bakoteli yango, bapanzi yango, babotoli na makasi biloko na yango ya talo! Mitema ebukani, mabolongo ekomi kolenga, mpe banzoto etondi na somo.
She is void, and emptied out, and wasted; and the heart melteth, and the knees totter, and trembling is in all loins, and the faces of them all are covered with blackness.
11 Wapi sik’oyo libulu epai wapi bankosi ezalaki kobokola bana na yango? Wapi sik’oyo libulu epai wapi nkosi ya mwasi elongo na bana na yango ezalaki kotambola na somo ata moke te?
Where is [now] the dwelling of the lions, and what was the feeding-place of the young lions, where the lion, the lioness, and the lion's whelp walked, and none made them afraid?
12 Nkosi ebomi banyama ebele mpo ete epesa yango lokola bilei epai ya bana na yango, ekangi nyama ya kolia mpo na mwasi na yango, bongo etondisi libulu na yango na banyama oyo ebomi mpe na misuni.
The lion tore in pieces [prey] enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled with prey his holes, and his dens with what he had torn.
13 « Nakotombokela yo, » elobi Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga; « nakozikisa bashar na yo na moto, mpe mopanga ekoboma bana ya nkosi na yo. Nakobotola yo misuni nyonso awa na se; boye mongongo ya batindami na yo ekotikala koyokana lisusu te. »
Behold, I will be against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn into smoke thy chariots, and thy young lions shall the sword devour: and I will cut off from the earth thy preying, and no more shall be heard the voice of thy messengers.
