Luka 3
1 Tango Tibere Sezare akokisaki mibu zomi na mitano na bokonzi, Ponse Pilato azalaki moyangeli ya Yuda; Erode azalaki moyangeli ya Galile; Filipo, ndeko mobali ya Erode, azalaki moyangeli ya Itureya mpe ya Trakonitide; mpe Lisaniasi azalaki moyangeli ya Abilene.
And in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, in the presidency of Pontius Pilate in Judaea, while Herod was Tetrarch in Galilee, and Philip his brother Tetrarch in Ituraea and in the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias Tetrarch of Abilene,
2 Ana mpe Kayifa bazalaki bakonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe. Na mobu yango, Nzambe alobaki na Yoane, mwana mobali ya Zakari, kati na esobe.
in the high priesthood of Annas and of Caiaphas; the word of God was upon John the son of Zachariah, in the wilderness.
3 Yoane akomaki kotambola na etuka mobimba, zingazinga ya moluka Yordani; na mateya na ye, azalaki koloba: « Bobongola mitema na bino, bozwa libatisi, mpe Nzambe akolimbisa masumu na bino. »
And he came into all the region about the Jordan, proclaiming the baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
4 Boye nde ekokisamaki, makambo oyo mosakoli Ezayi akomaki kati na buku na ye: « Mongongo ya moto moko ezali kobelela kati na esobe: ‹ Bobongisa nzela mpo na Nkolo, bosembolela Ye banzela ya mike!
As it is written in the book of the discourses of Isaiah the prophet, who said: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord; and make straight paths in the plain for our God.
5 Mabwaku nyonso ekotondisama, bangomba nyonso ya milayi mpe ya mikuse ekokitisama, babalabala oyo ezali nyoka-nyoka ekosembolama, banzela ya mabulu-mabulu ekobongisama,
All valleys shall be filled up, and all mountains and hills be lowered; and the hillock shall be levelled down, and the rough place become smooth.
6 mpe bato nyonso bakomona lobiko ya Nzambe. › »
And all flesh shall see the life which is of God.
7 Yoane alobaki na ebele ya bato oyo bayaki epai na ye mpo ete abatisa bango: « Bana ya banyoka, nani alakisaki bino kokima kanda oyo ezali koya?
And he said to the multitudes, who came to him to be baptized: Ye progeny of vipers, who hath instructed you to flee from the future wrath?
8 Bolakisa na nzela ya bizaleli ete bobongoli mitema, mpe bokoma te komilobela: ‹ Abrayami azali koko na biso! › Pamba te, nazali koloba na bino penza ya solo ete Nzambe azali na makoki ya kobimisa, wuta na mabanga oyo, bakitani mpo na Abrayami.
Bring forth, therefore, fruits comporting, with repentance. And begin not to say in yourselves: We have Abraham for our father; for I say to you, that God can, from these stones, raise up sons to Abraham.
9 Epasola esili kobongisama mpo na kokata banzete wuta na misisa, mpe nzete nyonso oyo ebotaka bambuma ya malamu te ekokatama mpe ekobwakama na moto. »
And lo, the ax is put to the root of trees. Every tree therefore that beareth not good fruits, is hewed down, and falleth into the fire.
10 Ebele ya bato batunaki ye: — Tosengeli kosala nini?
And the multitudes asked him, and said: What, then, shall we do?
11 Yoane azongiselaki bango: — Tika ete moto oyo azali na kazaka mibale apesa moko na moto oyo azangi kazaka, mpe tika ete moto oyo azali na bilei akabola na bato oyo bazangi bilei.
He answered and said to them: Whoever hath two tunics, let him give one to him that hath none; and whoever hath food, let him do the same.
12 Bafutisi mpako mpe bayaki mpo ete babatisa bango; batunaki Yoane: — Moteyi, tosengeli kosala nini?
And publicans also came to be baptized. And they said to him: Teacher, what shall we do?
13 Azongiselaki bango: — Tango bofutisaka mpako, bobakisaka mbongo mosusu te na likolo ya oyo esengeli kofutama.
And he said to them: Exact no more than ye are required to exact.
14 Basoda mpe batunaki ye: — Bongo biso, tosengeli kosala nini? Yoane azongiselaki bango: — Bobotola mbongo ya bato te mpe bokosela bato makambo te; kasi bosepela kaka na lifuti na bino.
And those serving in war inquired of him, and said: And what shall we do? He said to them: Be insolent to no one, and oppress no one, and let your pay satisfy you.
15 Lokola bato bazalaki kozela na elikya makasi, moko na moko azalaki komituna na se ya motema soki Yoane te nde azali Masiya.
And while the people were thinking of John, and all pondered in their heart, whether he were the Messiah;
16 Yoane azongiselaki bango: — Ngai nazali kobatisa bino na mayi; kasi ezali na Moto moko oyo azali koya, aleki ngai na nguya, mpe ngai nabongi kutu te mpo na kofungola ata basinga ya basandale na Ye; ezali Ye nde akobatisa bino kati na Molimo Mosantu mpe na moto.
John answered and said to them: Behold, I baptize you with water; but after me cometh one mightier than I, the strings of whose shoes I am not worthy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
17 Asimbi kiyungulu na loboko na Ye mpo na kopetola etando na Ye mpe mpo na koyamba ble kati na ebombelo na Ye; kasi akotumba matiti oyo ekotikala na nzela ya moto oyo ekufaka te.
He holdeth his winnowing shovel in his hand, and he will make clean his threshing floor; and the wheat he gathereth into his garners, and the chaff he will burn with fire not extinguished.
18 Yoane azalaki lisusu kolendisa bato mpe koteya bango Sango Malamu na nzela ya maloba mosusu ebele.
And many other things also, he taught and proclaimed to the people.
19 Kasi Yoane apamelaki mokonzi Erode mpo ete azwaki na libala Erodiade, mwasi ya ndeko na ye, mpe mpo ete asalaki lisusu mabe ebele.
But Herod the Tetrarch, because he was reproved by John, on account of Herodias the wife of his brother Philip, and on account of all the evil things he had done,
20 Na likolo ya mabe nyonso oyo Erode asalaki, abakisaki lisusu mabe ya kokanga Yoane kati na boloko.
added this also to them all, that he shut up John in prison.
21 Wana bato nyonso bazalaki kokende kozwa libatisi, Yesu mpe azwaki libatisi. Mpe wana Yesu azalaki kosambela, Likolo efungwamaki,
And it occurred, when all the people were baptized, that Jesus also was baptized. And as he prayed, the heavens were opened;
22 mpe Molimo Mosantu akitelaki Ye na lolenge ya nzoto, lokola ebenga. Bongo mongongo moko eyokanaki wuta na Likolo: « Ozali Mwana na Ngai ya bolingo, nasepelaka na Yo mingi. »
and the Holy Spirit descended upon him, in the bodily likeness of a dove: and there was a voice from heaven, which said: Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I have delight.
23 Yesu azalaki na mibu pene tuku misato ya mbotama tango abandaki mosala na Ye. Bato bazalaki kokanisa ete azali mwana mobali ya Jozefi; Jozefi, mwana mobali ya Eli;
And Jesus was about thirty years old. And he was accounted the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
24 Eli, mwana mobali ya Matati; Matati, mwana mobali ya Levi; Levi, mwana mobali ya Meliki; Meliki, mwana mobali ya Yanai; Yanai, mwana mobali ya Jozefi;
the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Janna, the son of Joseph,
25 Jozefi, mwana mobali ya Matatiasi; Matatiasi, mwana mobali ya Amosi; Amosi, mwana mobali ya Naumi; Naumi, mwana mobali ya Esili; Esili, mwana mobali ya Nagai;

the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er,
29 Eri, mwana mobali ya Jozue; Jozue, mwana mobali ya Eliezeri; Eliezeri, mwana mobali ya Yorimi; Yorimi, mwana mobali ya Matati; Matati, mwana mobali ya Levi;
