< Bilombe 2 >

1 Anjelu ya Yawe alongwaki na Giligali mpe akendeki na Bokimi. Alobaki: « Nabimisaki bino na Ejipito mpe nakotisaki bino na mokili oyo nalakaki kopesa epai ya bakoko na bino na nzela ya ndayi. Nalobaki: ‹ Nakotikala kokata boyokani te kati na Ngai mpe bino;
The LORD’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, “I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you.
2 mpe bokosala boyokani te elongo na bato ya mokili oyo, kasi bokobuka bitumbelo na bango. › Nzokande, botosaki Ngai te. Mpo na nini bosalaki bongo?
You shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their altars.’ But you have not listened to my voice. Why have you done this?
3 Sik’oyo, nalobi na bino ete nakobengana bango lisusu te liboso na bino; bakokoma nzube na mipanzi na bino, mpe banzambe na bango ya bikeko ekokoma mitambo mpo na bino. »
Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’”
4 Tango Anjelu ya Yawe alobaki makambo oyo epai ya bana nyonso ya Isalaele, bakomaki kolela makasi,
When the LORD’s angel spoke these words to all the children of Israel, the people lifted up their voice and wept.
5 mpe babengaki esika yango Bokimi. Babonzaki kuna bambeka epai na Yawe.
They called the name of that place Bochim, and they sacrificed there to the LORD.
6 Sima na Jozue kobengana bato, bana ya Isalaele bakendeki kobotola mokili, moto na moto na eteni na ye ya mabele.
Now when Joshua had sent the people away, the children of Israel each went to his inheritance to possess the land.
7 Basalelaki Yawe tango nyonso Jozue azalaki na bomoi mpe, sima na kufa na ye, tango nyonso bampaka, oyo bamonaki misala nyonso ya Yawe mpo na Isalaele, bazalaki na bomoi.
The people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the LORD that he had worked for Israel.
8 Jozue, mwana mobali ya Nuni, mosali na Yawe, akufaki tango akokisaki mibu nkama moko na zomi ya mbotama.
Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being one hundred ten years old.
9 Bakundaki ye na mabele ya libula na ye, na Timinati-Eresi, kati na etuka ya bangomba ya Efrayimi, na ngambo ya nor ya ngomba Gashi.
They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.
10 Sima na yango, molongo nyonso ya bato oyo bazalaki elongo na Jozue basilaki na kokufa; mpe molongo mosusu ya bato oyo babotamaki sima na bango ebimaki, molongo oyo eyebaki Yawe te mpe emonaki te misala oyo asalaki mpo na Isalaele.
After all that generation were gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who didn’t know the LORD, nor the work which he had done for Israel.
11 Bongo bana ya Isalaele bakomaki kosala makambo mabe na miso ya Yawe mpe kosalela banzambe ya Bala.
The children of Israel did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, and served the Baals.
12 Basundolaki Yawe, Nzambe ya batata na bango, oyo abimisaki bango na mokili ya Ejipito, mpe bakomaki kosambela mpe kosalela banzambe ya ndenge na ndenge ya bato oyo bazalaki zingazinga na bango; bakomaki kogumbama liboso ya banzambe yango. Mpo na yango, bapelisaki kanda ya Yawe,
They abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed themselves down to them; and they provoked the LORD to anger.
13 pamba te basundolaki Yawe mpo na kosalela banzambe Bala mpe Asitarite.
They abandoned the LORD, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
14 Bongo Yawe atombokelaki bana ya Isalaele mpe akabaki bango na maboko ya bato mabe oyo babotolaki bango biloko na makasi; asundolaki bango epai ya banguna na bango, oyo bazalaki zingazinga na bango, mpe bazangaki makoki ya kotelemela bango.
The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.
15 Tango nyonso bana ya Isalaele bazalaki kokende bitumba, loboko na Yawe ezalaki kotelemela bango mpo ete balonga te, ndenge kaka alapaki ndayi mpo na bango. Boye bazalaki na pasi makasi.
Wherever they went out, the LORD’s hand was against them for evil, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn to them; and they were very distressed.
16 Yawe abimisaki Bilombe oyo babikisaki bango wuta na maboko ya bato mabe oyo bazalaki kobotola bango biloko na makasi.
The LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.
17 Kasi bana ya Isalaele bayokelaki ata Bilombe na bango te, kasi bazalaki kosambela mpe kosalela banzambe mosusu. Batikaki noki nzela oyo batata na bango bazalaki kolanda: nzela ya kotosa mibeko na Yawe. Balandaki ndakisa na bango te.
Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They quickly turned away from the way in which their fathers walked, obeying the LORD’s commandments. They didn’t do so.
18 Tango nyonso Yawe azalaki kobimisela bango elombe, abandaki mpe kozala elongo na elombe yango mpo na kobikisa bango wuta na maboko ya banguna na bango, na tango nyonso oyo elombe yango azalaki na bomoi. Solo Yawe azalaki koyokela bango mawa, pamba te azalaki koyoka bango kolela liboso ya banyokoli na bango mpe ya bato oyo bazalaki komonisa bango pasi.
When the LORD raised up judges for them, then the LORD was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved the LORD because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
19 Kasi soki elombe akufi, bato bazalaki kozongela misala mabe koleka kutu mabe ya batata na bango; bazalaki kosambela, kosalela, kogumbamela banzambe mosusu. Bazalaki koboya kotika misala na bango ya mabe mpe bazalaki kaka kotingama na nzela na bango.
But when the judge was dead, they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers in following other gods to serve them and to bow down to them. They didn’t cease what they were doing, or give up their stubborn ways.
20 Boye Yawe atombokelaki bana ya Isalaele mpe alobaki: « Lokola ekolo oyo ekataki boyokani oyo nasalaki elongo na batata na bango mpe eboyi koyokela Ngai,
The LORD’s anger burned against Israel; and he said, “Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,
21 Ngai mpe nakobengana lisusu te liboso na bango ata ekolo moko kati na bikolo oyo Jozue atikaki liboso ete akufa.
I also will no longer drive out any of the nations that Joshua left when he died from before them;
22 Nakosalela bikolo yango mpo na komeka Isalaele mpe kotala soki bakobatela mpe bakotambola na nzela ya Yawe lokola batata na bango. »
that by them I may test Israel, to see if they will keep the LORD’s way to walk therein, as their fathers kept it, or not.”
23 Yawe akabaki te bikolo yango na maboko ya Jozue, asalaki ete etikala; abenganaki yango te mbala moko.
So the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily. He didn’t deliver them into Joshua’s hand.
