Jozue 23
1 Sima na Yawe kopesa bopemi na Isalaele liboso ya banguna nyonso oyo bazingelaki bango, elekaki tango molayi. Bongo, Jozue akomaki mobange, mpe mibu ya bomoi na ye epusanaki makasi.
And when a long time was passed, after that the Lord had given peace to Israel, all the nations round about being subdued, and Josue being now old, and far advanced in years:
2 Boye, Jozue abengisaki Isalaele mobimba: bampaka na yango, bakambi na yango, basambisi elongo na bakalaka na yango. Alobaki na bango: « Nakomi mobange mpe mibu ya bomoi na ngai epusani makasi.
Josue called for all Israel, and for the elders, and for the princes, and for the judges, and for the masters, and said to them: I am old, and far advanced in years:
3 Bino moko bomonaki makambo nyonso oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, asalaki liboso ya bikolo oyo nyonso mpo na bolamu na bino, pamba te ezalaki Yawe, Nzambe na bino, nde azalaki kobundela bino.
And you see all that the Lord your God hath done to all the nations round about, how he himself hath fought for you:
4 Bobosana te ndenge nini nazalaki kobeta zeke mpo na kokabolela mabota na bino lokola libula, mokili ya bikolo oyo etikali mpe ya bikolo oyo nabotolaki wuta na Yordani kino na Ebale monene, na ngambo ya weste.
And now since he hath divided to you by lot all the land, from the east of the Jordan unto the great sea, and many nations yet remain:
5 Yawe, Nzambe na bino, nde akobengana bango, Ye moko, mosika liboso na bino; akobengana bango liboso na bino mpe bokozwa mokili na bango ndenge Yawe, Nzambe na bino, alakaki.
The Lord your God will destroy them, and take them away from before your face, and you shall possess the land as he hath promised you.
6 Boyika mpiko mpe bosenzela mpo na kotosa makambo nyonso oyo ekomama kati na buku ya Mobeko ya Moyize; bokende libanda na yango te.
Only take courage, and be careful to observe all things that are written in the book of the law of Moses: and turn not aside from them neither to the right hand nor to the left:
7 Bosala boyokani te elongo na bikolo mosusu oyo etikali kati na bino, bobelela bakombo ya banzambe na yango te to mpe bolapa ndayi na bakombo na yango te. Bomeka kosalela yango te mpe bofukamela yango te.
Lest after that you are come in among the Gentiles, who will remain among you, you should swear by the name of their gods, and serve them, and adore them:
8 Kasi bokangama makasi na Yawe, Nzambe na bino, ndenge bozali kosala kino na mokolo ya lelo.
But cleave ye unto the Lord your God: as you have done until this day.
9 Yawe abenganaki bikolo ya minene mpe ya nguya liboso na bino; mpe kino na moyi ya lelo, moko te alongi kotelema liboso na bino.
And then the Lord God will take away before your eyes nations that are great and very strong, and no man shall be able to resist you.
10 Moto moko kaka kati na bino azalaki kokimisa bato nkoto moko, pamba te Yawe, Nzambe na bino, azalaki kobundela bino ndenge alakaki.
One of you shall chase a thousand men of the enemies: because the Lord your God himself will fight for you, as he hath promised.
11 Boye, bosala keba ete bolinga Yawe, Nzambe na bino.
This only take care of with all diligence, that you love the Lord your God.
12 Kasi soki bopesi Yawe mokongo, mpe soki bosali boyokani elongo na bato oyo babiki kati na bikolo oyo etikali kati na bino; soki bosali mabala mpe bosangani elongo na bango,
But if you will embrace the errors of these nations that dwell among you, and make marriages with them, and join friendships:
13 boyeba ete Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akobengana lisusu te bikolo yango liboso na bino. Bakokoma nde minyama mpe mitambo mpo na bino, bafimbu na mikongo na bino mpe banzube kati na miso na bino, kino tango bokosila kokufa na mokili ya kitoko oyo Nzambe na bino apesaki bino.
Know ye for a certainty that the Lord your God will not destroy them before your face, but they shall be a pit and a snare in your way, and a stumblingblock at your side, and stakes in your eyes, till he take you away and destroy you from off this excellent land, which he hath given you.
14 Sik’oyo ngai nakomi pene ya kokende na nzela oyo moto nyonso akendaka. Na motema mpe elimo na bino mobimba, boyeba ete elaka moko te kati na bilaka nyonso ya kitoko oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, apesaki bino ekotikala kokweya. Bilaka nyonso esila kokokisama, moko te ekotikala kokweya.
Behold this day I am going into the way of all the earth, and you shall know with all your mind that of all the words which the Lord promised to perform for you, not one hath failed.
15 Ndenge kaka bilaka nyonso ya kitoko ya Yawe, Nzambe na bino, ekokisamaki solo, ndenge wana mpe akotindela bino makambo mabe kino tango akosilisa koboma bino kati na mokili ya kitoko oyo apesaki bino
Therefore as he hath fulfilled in deed, what he promised, and all things prosperous have come: so Will he bring upon you all the evils he hath threatened, till he take you away and destroy you from off this excellent land, which he hath given you,
16 soki bobebisi boyokani ya Yawe, Nzambe na bino, oyo apeselaki bino mitindo, mpe bokeyi kosalela banzambe mosusu mpe kofukamela yango. Kanda ya Yawe ekotumba bino mpe bokosila kokufa noki penza na mokili ya kitoko oyo apesaki bino. »
When you shall have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he hath made with you, and shall have served strange gods, and adored them: then shall the indignation of the Lord rise up quickly and speedily against you, and you shall be taken away from this excellent land, which he hath delivered to you.
