1 Eteni ya mabele ya bakitani ya Jozefi ebandaki wuta na Yordani, pene ya Jeriko, na ngambo ya este ya mayi ya Jeriko, na esobe oyo emata na Jeriko na mokili ya bangomba ya Beteli.
The land that was allotted to [the two tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh that were descended from] Joseph started at the Jordan [River], east of the springs at Jericho.
2 Ekendeki longwa na Beteli kino na Luze, elekaki na ngambo ya bandelo ya bato ya Ariki mpe Ataroti,
It extended west from Jericho to the hilly area near Bethel, which is also called Luz. It extended as far as Ataroth, at the border of the land where the Arki people-group lived.
3 ekitaki kino na ngambo ya weste na mondelo ya bato ya Yafeleti kino na etuka ya Beti-Oroni ya se, kino na Gezeri ya suka mpe esukaki na Ebale monene.
From there it extended west to the border of the land where the Japhleti people-group lived, and then it extended west to the area near Lower Beth-Horon. From there it extended west to Gezer [city] and from there to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
4 Boye bana mibali ya Jozefi, Manase mpe Efrayimi, bazwaki eteni ya mabele lokola libula.
That is the land that the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh were allotted.
5 Tala eteni ya mabele ya bakitani ya Efrayimi kolanda bituka na bango: Mondelo ya eteni ya mabele na bango ezalaki na ngambo ya este, longwa na Ataroti-Adari kino na Beti-Oroni ya likolo;
The border of the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Ephraim started at Ataroth-Addar [city] in the east. It extended to Upper Beth-Horon
6 ekobaki kino na Ebale monene. Na ngambo ya weste, mondelo ezalaki longwa na Mikimeta na ngambo ya nor, ebalukaki na ngambo ya este na Tanati-Silo, elekelaki wana kino na Yanoa, na ngambo ya este.
and from there to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
7 Mpe lisusu ekitaki longwa na Yanoa kino na Ataroti mpe na Naarata, etutanaki na Jeriko mpe ekendeki kobima kino na Yordani.
From Michmethath [on the north] it extended east to Taanath and from there on to Janoah. From there it extended [south] to Ataroth [city] and to Naarah [town]. From there it extended to Jericho and from there to the Jordan [River].
8 Longwa na Tapua, ekendeki na ngambo ya weste kino na moluka ya Kana mpe ekendeki kosuka na Ebale monene. Yango nde ezalaki eteni ya libula ya bakitani ya libota ya Efrayimi, kolanda bituka na bango.
The [northern] border extended from Tappuah west to Kanah Ravine, and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. That was the land that was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim.
9 Ebakisamaki mpe bingumba nyonso elongo na bamboka na yango ya mike-mike oyo epesamelaki bato ya libota ya Efrayimi kati na libula ya bato ya libota ya Manase.
Many of those towns were really within the area allotted to the tribe of Manasseh.
10 Kasi babenganaki te bato ya Kanana oyo bazalaki kovanda na Gezeri. Yango wana, bato ya Kanana bazali kovanda kati na bato ya Efrayimi kino na mokolo ya lelo. Kasi bakomaki kosalisa bango misala makasi oyo ekoki na bawumbu.
The people of the tribe of Ephraim could not force the Canaan people-group to leave Gezer, so the Canaan people-group still live among the people of the tribe of Ephraim, but the Israelis forced the people of the Canaan people-group to become their slaves.
