1 Tango Yabini, mokonzi ya Atsori, ayokaki makambo oyo, atindaki maloba epai ya Yobabi, mokonzi ya Madoni; epai ya mokonzi ya Shimironi, epai ya mokonzi ya Akishafi,
When Jabin, king of Hazor, heard this, he sent a message to Jobab, king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Akshaph.

He also sent the message to the kings who were in the northern hill country, in the Jordan River valley south of Kinnereth, in the lowlands, and in Naphoth Dor to the west.

He also sent a message to the Canaanites to the east and west, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites in the hill country, and the Hivites by Mount Hermon in the land of Mizpah.
4 Babimaki elongo na mampinga na bango nyonso, mpe bato bazalaki ebele lokola zelo ya ebale elongo na motango monene ya bampunda mpe ya bashar.
All their armies came out with them, a great number of soldiers, in number like the sand on the seashore. They had a great number of horses and chariots.
5 Bakonzi yango nyonso basangisaki mampinga na bango esika moko mpe batongaki molako na bango pembeni ya mayi ya Meromi mpo na kobundisa Isalaele.
All these kings met at the appointed time, and they camped at the waters of Merom to wage war with Israel.
6 Yawe alobaki na Jozue: « Kobanga bango te, pamba te lobi, kaka na ngonga oyo, nakokaba bango nyonso na maboko ya Isalaele lokola bibembe. Okokata misisa ya makolo ya bampunda na bango mpe okotumba bashar na bango. »
Yahweh said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid in their presence, because tomorrow at this time I am giving them all to Israel as dead men. You will hamstring their horses, and you will burn their chariots.”
7 Boye Jozue elongo na mampinga na ye nyonso babimelaki bango na pwasa, na mayi ya Meromi mpe babundisaki bango;
Joshua and all the men of war came. They arrived suddenly at the waters of Merom, and attacked the enemy.
8 bongo Yawe akabaki bango na maboko ya Isalaele. Balongaki bango mpe balandaki bango kino na Sidoni, engumba monene, kino na Misirefoti-Mayimi mpe kino na ngambo ya este ya lubwaku ya Mitsipe. Babomaki bango mpe batikaki ata moto moko te na bomoi.
Yahweh gave the enemy into the hand of Israel, and they struck them and pursued them to Sidon, Misrephoth Maim, and to the Valley of Mizpah to the east. They struck them until not even one survivor of them was left.
9 Jozue asalaki bango ndenge Yawe atindaki: akataki misisa ya makolo ya bampunda na bango mpe atumbaki bashar na bango.
Joshua did to them just as Yahweh told him. He hamstrung the horses and burned the chariots.
10 Na tango wana, Jozue azongaki, abotolaki engumba Atsori mpe abomaki mokonzi na yango na mopanga. Atsori ezalaki mboka mokonzi ya mokili wana nyonso.
Joshua turned back at that time and captured Hazor. He struck its king with the sword. (Hazor had been head of all these kingdoms.)
11 Babomaki moto nyonso oyo azalaki kuna na mopanga. Babebisaki penza bango nyonso, babikisaki ata ekelamu moko te ya pema mpe batumbaki engumba Atsori.
They struck with the sword every living creature that was there, and he set them apart to be destroyed, so there was not any living creature left alive. Then he burned Hazor.
12 Jozue abotolaki bingumba nyonso ya bakonzi wana mpe abomaki bakonzi na yango na mopanga. Abomaki bango nyonso kolanda ndenge Moyize, mowumbu na Yawe, atindaki.
Joshua captured all the cities of these kings. He also captured all their kings and struck them with the edge of the sword. He completely destroyed them with the edge of the sword, just as Moses the servant of Yahweh had commanded.
13 Kasi Isalaele atikalaki te kotumba bingumba oyo ezalaki na bangomba longola kaka Atsori oyo Jozue atumbaki.
Israel did not burn any of the cities built on mounds, except Hazor. It alone Joshua burned.
14 Bana ya Isalaele bazwaki mpo na bango lokola bomengo ya bitumba: biloko nyonso ya engumba wana mpe bibwele na yango, kasi basilisaki koboma bato nyonso na mopanga, batikaki ata moto moko te na bomoi.
The army of Israel took all the plunder from these cities along with the livestock for themselves. They killed every human being with the edge of the sword until all were dead. They left alive no creature that breathed.
15 Jozue asalaki ndenge kaka Yawe atindaki ye na nzela ya mosali na ye Moyize, atikaki ata eloko moko te kati na makambo nyonso oyo Yawe atindaki Moyize.
Just as Yahweh had commanded his servant Moses, in the same way, Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did it. He left nothing undone of all that Yahweh commanded Moses to do.
16 Jozue abotolaki bamboka oyo nyonso: mokili ya bangomba, Negevi mobimba, mokili mobimba ya Gosheni, mokili ya se, etando ya Araba, ngomba ya Isalaele mpe bamboka na yango ya se,
Joshua took all that land, the hill country, all the Negev, all the land of Goshen, the foothills, the Jordan River valley, the hill country of Israel, and the lowlands.
17 wuta na ngomba Alaki oyo ezalaki na ngambo ya Seiri kino na Bala-Gadi, na lubwaku ya Libani na ebandeli ya ngomba Erimoni. Abundisaki bakonzi na yango nyonso mpe abomaki bango.

Joshua waged war for a long time with all the kings.

Not one city made peace with the army of Israel except the Hivites who lived in Gibeon. Israel captured all the rest of the cities in battle.
20 Nzokande, Yawe Ye moko azalaki koyeisa bango mitema mabanga mpo ete babundisa Isalaele, mpe mpo ete Isalaele asilisa koboma bango nyonso na mawa te, ndenge Yawe atindaki Moyize.
For it was Yahweh who hardened their hearts so they would wage war against Israel, so that he might completely destroy them without mercy, just as he had instructed Moses.
21 Na tango wana, Jozue akendeki koboma bato ya Anaki wuta na mokili ya bangomba: wuta na Ebron, na Debiri, na Anabi, na mokili nyonso ya bangomba ya Yuda mpe na mokili nyonso ya bangomba ya Isalaele. Jozue asilisaki koboma bango nyonso elongo na bingumba na bango.
Then Joshua came at that time and he destroyed the Anakim. He did this in the hill country, at Hebron, Debir, Anab, and in all the hill country of Judah, and in all the hill country of Israel. Joshua completely destroyed them and their cities.

None of the Anakim were left in the land of Israel except at Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod.
23 Jozue abotolaki mokili yango nyonso ndenge Yawe atindaki na Moyize, apesaki yango na Isalaele lokola libula mpe akabolaki yango kolanda mabota ya Isalaele. Bongo mokili ekomaki na kimia mpe bitumba ezalaki lisusu te.
So Joshua captured the whole land, just as Yahweh said to Moses. Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel, assigned to each of their tribes. Then the land had rest from the wars.
