< Yoane 8 >

And at dawn He came again to the temple [courts],
and all the people were coming to Him, and having sat down, He was teaching them;
and the scribes and the Pharisees bring to Him a woman having been taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
4 Balobaki na Yesu: — Moteyi, mwasi oyo asali ekobo; bakuti ye penza azali kosala yango!
they say to Him, “Teacher, this woman was taken in the very crime [of] committing adultery,
and in the Law, Moses commanded us that such be stoned; You, therefore, what do You say?”
And this they said, trying Him, that they might have to accuse Him. And Jesus, having stooped down, with the finger He was writing on the ground,
7 Lokola bakobaki kaka kopesa Ye mituna, Yesu atelemaki mpe alobaki na bango: — Tika ete moto oyo, kati na bino, asala nanu lisumu te abamba ye libanga moto ya liboso.
and when they continued asking Him, having bent Himself back, He said to them, “The sinless of you—let him cast the first stone at her”;
8 Bongo Yesu agunzamaki lisusu mpe azongelaki kokoma na mabele.
and again having stooped down, He was writing on the ground,
9 Tango bayokaki bongo, bango nyonso babendanaki moko sima na moninga, kobanda na mikolo. Mpe Yesu atikalaki Ye moko.
and they having heard, and being convicted by the conscience, were going forth one by one, having begun from the elders—to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 Yesu atombolaki moto mpe alobaki na ye: — Mwasi, bato oyo bayei kofunda yo bazali wapi? Boni, ata moko te akateli yo etumbu?
And Jesus having bent Himself back, and having seen no one but the woman, said to her, “Woman, where are those—your accusers? Did no one pass sentence on you?”
And she said, “No one, Lord”; and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I pass sentence on you; be going on, and sin no more.”]]
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I AM the light of the world; he who is following Me will not walk in the darkness, but he will have the light of life.”
The Pharisees, therefore, said to Him, “You testify of Yourself, Your testimony is not true”;
14 Yesu azongiselaki bango: — Ezala soki natatoli mpo na Ngai moko, litatoli na Ngai ezali ya solo, pamba te nayebi epai nawuti mpe epai nazali kokende; kasi bino, boyebi te ezala epai nawuti to epai nazali kokende.
Jesus answered and said to them, “And if I testify of Myself—My testimony is true, because I have known from where I came, and to where I go, and you have not known from where I come, or to where I go.
You judge according to the flesh; I do not judge anyone,
16 Mpe ezala soki esalemi ete Ngai nasambisi moto, kosambisa na Ngai ezali ya solo, pamba te nazali Ngai moko te: Tata oyo atindi Ngai azali elongo na Ngai.
and even if I do judge My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me;
and also in your law it has been written that the testimony of two men is true;
18 Ngai, nazali kopesa litatoli na tina na Ngai moko, mpe Tata oyo atindaki Ngai azali lisusu kotatola na tina na Ngai.
I am [One] who is testifying of Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies of Me.”
They said, therefore, to Him, “Where is Your father?” Jesus answered, “You have neither known Me nor My Father: if you had known Me, you had also known My Father.”
20 Yesu alobaki bongo, wana azalaki koteya kati na lopango ya Tempelo, pene ya esika oyo bazalaki kotia makabo; mpe moto ata moko te amekaki kokanga Ye, pamba te tango na Ye ekokaki nanu te.
Jesus spoke these sayings in the treasury, teaching in the temple, and no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come;
21 Yesu alobaki na bango lisusu: — Ngai, nazali kokende; mpe bokoluka Ngai, kasi bokokufa kati na lisumu na bino. Epai Ngai nazali kokende, bino, bokoki te koya kuna.
therefore Jesus said again to them, “I go away, and you will seek Me, and you will die in your sin; to where I go away, you are not able to come.”
The Jews, therefore, said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, To where I go away, you are not able to come?”
And He said to them, “You are from beneath, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world;
I said, therefore, to you, that you will die in your sins, for if you may not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
25 Batunaki Ye: — Boye ozali nani? Yesu azongiselaki bango: — Oyo nazali koloba na bino wuta na ebandeli.
They said, therefore, to Him, “You—who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Even what I spoke of to you at the beginning;
many things I have to speak concerning you and to judge, but He who sent Me is true, and I—what things I heard from Him—these I say to the world.”
They did not know that He spoke to them of the Father;
28 Alobaki lisusu: — Sima na bino kotombola Mwana na Moto nde bokoyeba ete, Ngai, nazali oyo azali, mpe ete nasalaka eloko moko te na ndenge na Ngai moko, kasi nalobaka kolanda makambo oyo Tata ateyaki Ngai.
Jesus, therefore, said to them, “When you may lift up the Son of Man then you will know that I AM; and I do nothing of Myself, but according as My Father taught Me, these things I speak;
29 Ye oyo atindaki Ngai azali elongo na Ngai; atikaki Ngai moko te, pamba te, Ngai, nasalaka tango nyonso makambo oyo esepelisaka Ye.
and He who sent Me is with Me; the Father did not leave Me alone, because I always do the things pleasing to Him.”
30 Wana Yesu azalaki koloba bongo, bato mingi bandimaki Ye.
As He is speaking these things, many believed in Him;
31 Bongo Yesu alobaki na Bayuda oyo bandimaki Ye: — Soki bowumeli kati na Liloba oyo nateyaki bino, bokozala penza bayekoli na Ngai,
Jesus, therefore, said to the Jews who believed in Him, “If you may remain in My word, you are truly My disciples,
32 bokoyeba solo, mpe solo ekokangola bino.
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
33 Bazongiselaki Ye: — Biso, tozali bato ya libota ya Abrayami, totikala kozala te bawumbu ya moto; ndenge nini oloba ete tokokoma bansomi?
They answered Him, “We are seed of Abraham; and we have been servants to no one at any time; how do You say—You will become free?”
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who is committing sin, is a servant of sin,
and the servant does not remain in the house—throughout the age, the Son remains—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
36 Boye, soki Mwana akangoli bino, bokozala penza bansomi.
if then the Son may make you free, in reality you will be free.
I have known that you are seed of Abraham, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you;
I speak that which I have seen with My Father, and you, therefore, do that which you have seen with your father.”
39 Bazongisaki: — Ezali Abrayami nde azali tata na biso. Yesu alobaki na bango: — Soki bozalaki bana ya Abrayami, bolingaki kosala misala oyo Abrayami asalaki.
They answered and said to Him, “Our father is Abraham”; Jesus says to them, “If you were children of Abraham, the works of Abraham you were doing;
40 Kasi sik’oyo, na esika ete bosala yango, bozali koluka koboma Ngai, Ngai oyo nalobi na bino solo oyo nayokaki epai ya Nzambe! Abrayami atikala kosala bongo te.
and now, you seek to kill Me—a Man who has spoken to you the truth I heard from God; Abraham did not do this;
you do the works of your father.” They said, therefore, to Him, “We have not been born of whoredom; we have one Father—God”;
Jesus then said to them, “If God were your father, you were loving Me, for I came forth from God, and am come; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me;
why do you not know My speech? Because you are not able to hear My word.
You are of a father—the Devil, and the desires of your father you will to do; he was a manslayer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him; when one may speak the falsehood, he speaks of his own, because he is a liar—also his father.
45 Kasi Ngai, lokola nalobi solo, yango wana bozali kondima Ngai te.
And because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.
Who of you convicts Me of sin? And if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?
47 Moto oyo azali ya Nzambe ayokaka makambo oyo Nzambe alobaka; kasi soki bino boyokaka te, ezali mpo ete bozali ya Nzambe te.
He who is of God, he hears the sayings of God; because of this you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
48 Bayuda bazongiselaki Ye: — Omoni!
The Jews, therefore, answered and said to Him, “Do we not say well, that You are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me;
and I do not seek My own glory; there is [One] who is seeking and is judging;
truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone may keep My word, he may not see death—throughout the age.”
The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “Now we have known that You have a demon; Abraham died, and the prophets, and You say, If anyone may keep My word, he will not taste of death—throughout the age! (aiōn g165)
53 Boni, yo okanisi ete oleki Abrayami, tata na biso, oyo akufa to mpe oleki basakoli nyonso oyo bakufa? Yango yo, ozali komimona nani?
Are You greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died; whom do You make Yourself?”
Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who is glorifying Me, of whom you say that He is your God;
55 Solo, bino, boyebi Ye te; kasi Ngai, nayebi Ye. Soki nameki koloba ete nayebi Ye te, wana nakozala mokosi lokola bino. Kasi nayebi Ye mpe nabatelaka Liloba na Ye.
and you have not known Him, and I have known Him, and if I say that I have not known Him, I will be like you—speaking falsely; but I have known Him, and I keep His word;
56 Tata na bino, Abrayami, atondaki na esengo, wana akanisaki ete akomona mokolo na Ngai. Amonaki yango mpe atondaki na esengo.
your father Abraham was glad that he might see My day; and he saw, and rejoiced.”
57 Bayuda balobaki na Ye: — Nini? Yo moto oyo okokisi nanu te ata mibu tuku mitano ya mbotama, ozali koloba ete omonaki Abrayami!
The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”
58 Yesu azongisaki: — Nazali koloba na bino penza ya solo: liboso ete Abrayami abotama, Ngai nazali.
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham’s coming—I AM”;
they took up, therefore, stones that they may cast at Him, but Jesus hid Himself, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
