1 Sima na Yesu kobondela, akendeki elongo na bayekoli na Ye mpe bakatisaki lubwaku ya Sedron epai wapi elanga moko ezalaki. Yesu akotaki na elanga yango elongo na bayekoli na Ye.
When Yeshua had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, into which he and his disciples entered.
2 Yuda oyo asilaki komibongisa mpo na kokaba Yesu ayebaki esika yango malamu, pamba te Yesu azalaki kokende kuna mbala mingi elongo na bayekoli na Ye.
Now Judah, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Yeshua often met there with his disciples.
3 Boye Yuda akendeki na elanga yango mpe amemaki lisanga ya basoda mpe ya bakengeli oyo bakonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe mpe Bafarizeo bapesaki ye. Bato yango basimbaki minda, banzete oyo ezalaki kopela moto mpe bibundeli.
Judah then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
4 Lokola Yesu ayebaki makambo nyonso oyo esengeli kokomela Ye, akendeki kokutana na bango mpe atunaki bango: — Bozali koluka nani?
Yeshua therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went out and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”
5 Bazongisaki: — Yesu ya Nazareti. Yesu alobaki na bango: — Ezali Ngai oyo. Mpe Yuda oyo atekaki Yesu epai na bango azalaki wana elongo na bango.
They answered him, “Yeshua of Nazareth.” Yeshua said to them, “I am he.” Judah also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
6 Tango Yesu alobaki na bango: « Ezali Ngai oyo, » bazongaki na sima mpe bakweyaki na mabele.
When therefore he said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground.
7 Yesu atunaki bango lisusu: — Bozali koluka nani? Bazongisaki: — Yesu ya Nazareti.
Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Yeshua of Nazareth.”
8 Yesu alobaki na bango: — Nasili koloba na bino ete ezali Ngai. Soki ezali Ngai nde bozali koluka, botika bato mosusu kokende.
Yeshua answered, “I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,”
9 Ezali bongo nde esengelaki kokokisama, liloba oyo Yesu alobaki: « Kati na bato oyo opesaki ngai, nabungisi ata moko te. »
that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”
10 Lokola Simona Petelo azalaki na mopanga, abimisaki yango wuta na ebombelo na yango, abetaki mosali ya mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe mpe akataki ye litoyi ya ngambo ya loboko ya mobali. Kombo ya mosali yango ezalaki Malikisi.
Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.
11 Kasi Yesu alobaki na Petelo: — Zongisa mopanga na yo kati na ebombelo na yango. Boni, nasengeli te komela kopo ya pasi, oyo Tata apesi Ngai?
Yeshua therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”
12 Lisanga ya basoda, mokonzi na bango mpe bakengeli ya Bayuda bakamataki Yesu mpe bakangaki Ye basinga;
So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Yeshua and bound him,
13 bamemaki Ye liboso epai ya Ana oyo azalaki tata-bokilo ya Kayifa, mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe, na mobu wana.
and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
14 Ezalaki mpe Kayifa wana nde apesaki Bayuda toli oyo: « Eleki malamu ete moto moko akufa mpo na bato nyonso. »
Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Judeans that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people.
15 Simona Petelo mpe moyekoli mosusu bazalaki kolanda Yesu. Moyekoli yango ayebanaki na mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe, mpe akotaki elongo na Yesu na lopango ya kati ya ndako ya mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe.
Simon Peter followed Yeshua, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Yeshua into the court of the high priest;
16 Petelo azalaki kozela libanda, na liboso ya ekuke. Moyekoli wana, oyo ayebanaki na mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe, abimaki, asololaki na mwasi mokengeli ekuke mpe akotisaki Petelo.
but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter.
17 Mwasi mosali oyo azalaki kokengela ekuke atunaki Petelo: — Boni, yo mpe ozali te moko kati na bayekoli ya moto wana? Petelo azongisaki: — Nazali moyekoli na ye te.
Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, “Are you also one of this man’s disciples?” He said, “I am not.”
18 Lokola malili ezalaki, basali mpe bakengeli bapelisaki moto mpe batelemaki pembeni-pembeni mpo na koyetola. Petelo mpe azalaki wana elongo na bango mpo na koyetola.
Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
19 Mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe apesaki Yesu mituna na tina na bayekoli na Ye mpe na tina na mateya na Ye.
The high priest therefore asked Yeshua about his disciples and about his teaching.
20 Yesu azongiselaki ye: — Nazalaki koloba na polele penza na miso ya bato nyonso, nazalaki koteya tango nyonso kati na bandako ya mayangani mpe kati na Tempelo, epai wapi Bayuda nyonso basanganaka; nalobaki eloko moko te na nkuku.
Yeshua answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet. I said nothing in secret.
21 Mpo na nini ozali kotuna Ngai mituna? Tuna epai ya bato oyo bayokaki Ngai koloba. Ezali bango nde bakoki koyeba malamu makambo oyo nazalaki koloba.
Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. Behold, they know the things which I said.”
22 Tango kaka Yesu alobaki bongo, moko kati na bakengeli oyo bazalaki wana abetaki Ye mbata na koloba: — Boni! Ezali bongo nde ozali kozongisela mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe?
When he had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped Yeshua with his hand, saying, “Do you answer the high priest like that?”
23 Yesu alobaki na ye: — Soki nalobi mabe, mabe yango ezali wapi? Kasi soki nalobi na Ngai kaka solo, mpo na nini kobeta Ngai?
Yeshua answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you beat me?”
24 Bongo Ana atindaki Yesu oyo azalaki kaka ya kokangama na basinga, epai ya Kayifa, mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe.
Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.
25 Wana Simona Petelo azalaki nanu koyetola moto, batunaki ye: — Yo mpe ozali te moko kati na bayekoli na ye? Petelo awanganaki yango na koloba: — Te, nazali moyekoli na ye te.
Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.”
26 Kasi moko kati na basali ya mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe, ndeko mobali ya moto oyo Petelo akataki litoyi, alobaki: — Boni, ngai namonaki yo te elongo na ye kati na elanga?
One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”
27 Kasi Petelo awanganaki yango lisusu; mpe mbala moko, soso elelaki.
Peter therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.
28 Bongo na tongo makasi, longwa na ndako ya Kayifa, bamemaki Yesu kati na ndako ya moyangeli oyo azalaki moto ya Rome. Kasi bango moko bato oyo bamemaki Yesu bakotaki te kati na ndako ya moyangeli, mpo ete bamikomisa mbindo te mpe mpo ete bazwa nzela ya kolia bilei ya Pasika.
They led Yeshua therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.
29 Yango wana moyangeli Pilato abimaki na libanda mpe atunaki bango: — Bofundi moto oyo mpo na likambo nini?
Pilate therefore went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”
30 Bazongiselaki ye: — Soki moto oyo asalaki mabe te, tolingaki mpe koya te kotika ye na maboko na yo.
They answered him, “If this man weren’t an evildoer, we wouldn’t have delivered him up to you.”
31 Pilato alobaki na bango: — Bokamata ye mpe bosambisa ye bino moko kolanda mibeko na bino. Bayuda bazongiselaki ye: — Biso tozali na ndingisa te ya kokatela moto etumbu ya kufa.
Pilate therefore said to them, “Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.” Therefore the Judeans said to him, “It is illegal for us to put anyone to death,”
32 Ezali ndenge wana nde ekokisamaki maloba oyo Yesu alobaki mpo na kolakisa lolenge ya kufa oyo asengelaki kokufa.
that the word of Yeshua might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
33 Pilato azongaki kati na ndako ya moyangeli, abengaki Yesu mpe atunaki Ye: — Boni, ozali mokonzi ya Bayuda?
Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called Yeshua, and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
34 Yesu azongisaki: — Boni, ezali na ndenge na yo moko nde olobi yango to bato mosusu nde bayebisi yo na tina na Ngai?
Yeshua answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about me?”
35 Pilato atunaki Yesu: — Boni, okanisi ete ngai nazali Moyuda? Ezali bato ya ekolo na yo moko mpe bakonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe nde bayei kotika yo na maboko na ngai. Osali nini?
Pilate answered, “I’m not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you to me. What have you done?”
36 Yesu azongisaki: — Bokonzi na Ngai ezali ya mokili oyo te; soki ezalaki ya mokili oyo, basali na Ngai balingaki kobunda mpo ete nakweya te na maboko ya Bayuda. Solo, bokonzi na Ngai ezali ya mokili oyo te.
Yeshua answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Judeans. But now my Kingdom is not from here.”
37 Pilato atunaki: — Elingi koloba nini, ozali nde mokonzi? Yesu azongisaki: — Yo nde olobi yango ete nazali mokonzi. Nabotamaki mpe nayaki kati na mokili mpo na kopesa litatoli na tina na solo. Moto oyo azali kati na solo ayokaka mongongo na Ngai.
Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?” Yeshua answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
38 Pilato atunaki Ye: — Solo ezali nini? Sima na koloba maloba wana, Pilato abimaki lisusu na libanda epai wapi Bayuda bazalaki mpe alobaki na bango: — Nazwi ye na likambo moko te ya mabe mpo ete nakatela ye etumbu ya kufa.
Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” When he had said this, he went out again to the Judeans, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
39 Kasi lokola ezali momesano epai na bino ete nabimisa na boloko mokangami moko, na tango ya feti ya Pasika, bozwa sik’oyo mokano. Bolingi ete natika mokonzi ya Bayuda mpo ete akoma nsomi?
But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Therefore, do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
40 Bango nyonso bazongisaki na koganga: — Te! Ye te! Bimisa nde Barabasi! Nzokande, Barabasi azalaki moyibi mpe mobomi bato.
Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber.
