< Yobo 7 >
1 Boni, bomoi ya moto awa na se ezali kaka bomoi ya pasi te? Mikolo ya bomoi na ye ezali penza mikolo ya mongamba te?
“Isn’t a man forced to labour on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?
2 Ndenge mowumbu azelaka pio ya pokwa to ndenge mongamba azelaka makasi lifuti na ye,
As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, as a hireling who looks for his wages,
3 ngai nazwaki lokola libula, basanza ya pamba mpe babutu ya pasi na pasi.
so I am made to possess months of misery, wearisome nights are appointed to me.
4 Soki kaka nalali, nakomi komituna: ‹ Tango nini nakolamuka? › Mpe soki kaka nalamuki: ‹ Tango nini butu ekoya? › Nalembi komitungisa tango nyonso.
When I lie down, I say, ‘When will I arise, and the night be gone?’ I toss and turn until the dawning of the day.
5 Nkusu mpe makwanza ezipi nzoto na ngai, poso ya nzoto na ngai ezoki-zoki bapota mpe ekomi kolumba solo.
My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust. My skin closes up, and breaks out afresh.
6 Mikolo ya bomoi na ngai ezali koleka mbangu penza koleka tonga oyo mosali bilamba asalelaka; nakomi na suka, mpe elikya na ngai nyonso esili.
My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.
7 Oh Nkolo, kobosana te ete bomoi na ngai ezali kaka pema ya pamba! Miso na ngai ekomona lisusu bolamu te.
Oh remember that my life is a breath. My eye will no more see good.
8 Liso oyo ezali komona ngai sik’oyo ekotikala komona ngai lisusu te; okoluka ngai, kasi nakozala lisusu te.
The eye of him who sees me will see me no more. Your eyes will be on me, but I will not be.
9 Ndenge mapata ekendaka mpe elimwaka, ndenge wana mpe moto oyo akendaka na mboka ya bakufi azongaka lisusu te. (Sheol )
As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol will come up no more. (Sheol )
10 Akozonga lisusu te na ndako na ye, mpe ndako na ye ekoyeba ye lisusu te.
He will return no more to his house, neither will his place know him any more.
11 Yango wana, nakokanga monoko na ngai te, molimo na ngai ekoloba kaka na mawa, mpe motema na ngai ekolela kaka pasi na ngai.
“Therefore I will not keep silent. I will speak in the anguish of my spirit. I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
12 Boni, nakomi ebale to elima ya mayi mpo ete batiela ngai bikangiseli?
Am I a sea, or a sea monster, that you put a guard over me?
13 Nakanisaka ete soki nalali, mbeto na ngai ekobondisa ngai mpe pongi ekokitisa pasi na ngai;
When I say, ‘My bed will comfort me. My couch will ease my complaint,’
14 nzokande, ozali lisusu kotungisa ngai na bandoto ya mabe mpe kobangisa ngai na bimoniseli ya somo.
then you scare me with dreams and terrify me through visions,
15 Malamu bafina ngai kingo mpe nakufa, pamba te kufa ezali na litomba koleka bomoi oyo.
so that my soul chooses strangling, death rather than my bones.
16 Nayini bomoi na ngai; nawumela libela te na bomoi! Tika ngai kimia, pamba te mikolo na ngai ezanga na yango tina.
I loathe my life. I don’t want to live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath.
17 Moto azali penza nani mpo ete okanisaka ye, mpo ete olandelaka ye na bokebi,
What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him,
18 mpo ete otalaka ye tango nyonso mpe omekaka ye tango nyonso?
that you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?
19 Mpo na nini okoki kolongola miso na Yo te likolo na ngai? Mpo na nini okoki kotika ngai kimia te ata mpo na ngonga moke?
How long will you not look away from me, nor leave me alone until I swallow down my spittle?
20 Oh Mokeli na ngai, soki nasali lisumu, eloko nini ngai nasali Yo? Mpo na nini oponi kaka kobeta ngai? Boni, nakomi mokumba mpo na Yo?
If I have sinned, what do I do to you, you watcher of men? Why have you set me as a mark for you, so that I am a burden to myself?
21 Mpo na nini ozali kolimbisa mabunga na ngai te mpe ozali kobosana masumu na ngai te? Kala mingi te, nakokende kolala na putulu; okoluka ngai, kasi nakozala lisusu te. »
Why do you not pardon my disobedience, and take away my iniquity? For now will I lie down in the dust. You will seek me diligently, but I will not be.”
