< Yobo 17 >
1 Pema na ngai ekomi pene ya kosila, mikolo na ngai etikali ya kotanga, kunda ezali kozela ngai.
My spirit is consumed, and my days are over; the grave is ready for me.
2 Solo, batioli bazingeli ngai, miso na ngai ezali komona kotiola na bango.
Surely there are mockers with me; my eye must always see their provocation.
3 Oh Nzambe, mipesa ata Yo moko lokola ndanga, na esika na ngai, epai na Yo; soki te, nani mosusu akoki komipesa lokola ndanga mpo na ngai!
Give now a pledge, be a guarantee for me with yourself; who else is there who will help me?
4 Okangi boyebi na bango mpo ete basosola te; yango wana, okolongisa bango te.
For you, God, have kept their hearts from understanding; therefore, you will not exalt them over me.
5 Moto oyo akofunda balingami na ye mpo ete babotola bomengo na bango na makasi, bana na ye bakokufa miso.
He who denounces his friends for a reward, the eyes of his children will fail.
6 Nzambe akomisi ngai lokola lisapo kati na minoko ya bato, lokola moto oyo babwakelaka soyi na elongi.
But he has made me a byword of the people; they spit in my face.
7 Miso na ngai ekomi molili likolo ya pasi, mpe nzoto na ngai nyonso ekomi lokola elilingi.
My eye is also dim because of sorrow; all my body parts are as thin as shadows.
8 Bato ya sembo bazali kokamwa likambo yango, mpe moto oyo ayebi na ye likambo te atelemeli moto mabe.
Upright men will be stunned by this; the innocent man will stir himself up against godless men.
9 Nzokande, bato ya sembo bakangamaka na nzela na bango, mpe bato ya maboko peto bakomaka lisusu makasi koleka.
The righteous man will keep to his way; he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
10 Bino nyonso, boya mpe bomeka lisusu! Nakomona ata moto moko te ya bwanya kati na bino.
But as for you all, come on now; I will not find a wise man among you.
11 Mikolo na ngai ekomi pene ya kosila; mabongisi na ngai mpe baposa ya motema na ngai, nyonso, esili kobeba.
My days are past; my plans are shattered, and so are the desires of my heart.
12 Bato oyo bazali komona butu lokola moyi bazali koloba kati na molili: ‹ Pole ekomi pene, › nzokande molili ezali makasi.
These people, these mockers, change the night into day; light is near to darkness.
13 Soki ezali na ndako moko kaka oyo nazali kotiela elikya, ezali nde kunda; soki mpe nakotandaka mbeto na ngai, ezali nde kati na mboka ya bakufi. (Sheol )
If the only home I hope for is Sheol; and if I have spread my couch in the darkness; (Sheol )
14 Soki nalobi na kunda: ‹ Ozali tata na ngai, › mpe na mutsopi: ‹ Ozali mama na ngai to ndeko na ngai ya mwasi, ›
and if I have said to the pit, 'You are my father,' and to the worm, 'You are my mother or my sister,'
15 wana elikya na ngai ezali penza wapi, mpe nani penza azali komona elikya na ngai?
where then is my hope? As for my hope, who can see any?
16 Ekokita kino na bikuke ya kufa tango tokokende elongo kopema kati na putulu. » (Sheol )
Will hope go down with me to the gates of Sheol when we descend to the dust?” (Sheol )
