< Yobo 13 >
1 Miso na ngai emonaki makambo oyo nyonso, matoyi na ngai eyokaki yango, mpe nasosoli yango malamu.
Lo, mine eye hath seen all [this], mine ear hath heard and understood it.
What ye know, [the same] do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
4 Pamba te bino, bozali kobongisa lokuta, bozali lokola minganga oyo bayebi mosala malamu te.
But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
5 Soki bovandaki ata kimia, bolingaki ata komonana bato ya bwanya.
Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
Will ye speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
8 Bolingi kolakisa ete bozali na ngambo na Ye? Bolingi kobundela Nzambe?
Will ye respect his person? will ye contend for God?
Bokanisi ete bokoki kokosa Ye ndenge bakosaka bato?
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one deceiveth a man, will ye deceive him?
He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly respect persons.
Shall not his excellency make you afraid, and his dread fall upon you?
Your memorable sayings [are] proverbs of ashes, your defences [are] defences of clay.
13 Botika makelele mpe botika ngai naloba! Oyo ekoya eya!
Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what wilt.
14 Mpo na nini nandima kokufa mpe nasakanela bomoi na ngai?
Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
15 Ata soki abomi ngai, nakozala kaka na elikya na Ye, nakobundela solo nzela na ngai liboso na Ye.
Though he slay me, yet will I wait for him: nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.
This also shall be my salvation; for a godless man shall not come before him.
17 Boyoka maloba na ngai malamu; tika ete matoyi na bino eyoka malamu makambo oyo nazali koloba!
Hear diligently my speech, and let my declaration be in your ears.
18 Sik’oyo, namibongisi mpo na kobundela likambo na ngai, nayebi ete nakolonga na kosambisama.
Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I am righteous.
19 Nani akoki kofunda ngai? Soki te, nakokanga monoko mpe nakokufa.
Who is he that will contend with me? for now shall I hold my peace and give up the ghost.
Only do not two things unto me, then will I not hide myself from thy face:
21 longola loboko na Yo likolo na ngai, mpe tika kobangisa ngai na somo na Yo.
Withdraw thine hand far from me; and let not thy terror make me afraid.
22 Bongo benga ngai, mpe nakoyanola; to tika ngai naloba, mpe Yo okoyanola ngai.
Then call thou, and I will answer; or let me speak, and answer thou me.
23 Mabe mpe masumu boni nasali liboso na Yo? Talisa ngai mbeba mpe masumu na ngai.
How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
24 Mpo na nini obombi elongi na Yo mpe ozali kozwa ngai lokola monguna na Yo?
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
25 Olingi kaka kotungisa lokasa oyo mopepe ezali komema? Olingi kaka kolandela lititi oyo ekawuka?
Wilt thou harass a driven leaf? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to inherit the iniquities of my youth:
27 Okangi makolo na ngai na minyololo ya bibende, ozali kokengela malamu lolenge na ngai ya kotambola mpe kolandela bisika nyonso oyo natiaka bilembo ya matambe na ngai.
Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and markest all my paths; thou drawest thee a line about the soles of my feet:
28 Moto apola penza boye lokola eloko ya kopola, lokola elamba oyo balie na banselele!
Though I am like a rotten thing that consumeth, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
