< Yobo 12 >
2 « Solo, bozali penza bato; tango bokokufa, bwanya mpe ekokufa elongo na bino!
“You really think you're special people, don't you? Obviously when you die, wisdom will die with you!
3 Kasi atako bongo, ngai mpe nazali mayele lokola bino, boleki ngai na eloko te. Nani ayebi te makambo wana nyonso?
But I too have insights, and you're no better than me. Doesn't everyone know the things you've said?
4 Nakomi eloko ya kotiola na miso ya baninga na ngai, ngai oyo nazali kobelela Nzambe mpo ete ayanola ngai; moto ya sembo, moto ya alima, ye nde akomi eloko ya kotiola!
But my friends laugh at me because I called on God and he answered me: the innocent man who does right has become an object of derision.
5 Bato ya esengo basekaka bato oyo bazali na pasi, babetaka bato oyo batepaka-tepaka kisambeti.
People who are comfortable have contempt for those who are in trouble, ready to push over those who are already slipping.
6 Bandako ya bato ya mobulu ezalaka na kimia, mpe bato oyo batombokelaka Nzambe, oyo bamonaka makasi na bango lokola Nzambe, bango nde babatelamaka.
Robbers live in peace, and those who make God angry live in safety, trusting their own strength as their ‘god.’
7 Kasi tuna nyama ya zamba, ekoteya yo; tuna ndeke ya likolo, ekolakisa yo;
But if you ask the animals they will teach you, the birds in the sky will tell you;
8 loba na mabele, ekoteya yo; to tika ete mbisi ya ebale monene epesa yo sango.
ask the earth and it will teach you, and the fishes in the sea will tell you.
9 Kati na yango, ekelamu nini eyebi te ete loboko ya Yawe nde esalaki nyonso wana?
Which of all these doesn't know that the Lord has done this?
10 Bomoi ya bikelamu nyonso mpe pema ya bato nyonso ezali kati na loboko na Ye.
He gives life to every living thing, life to all humankind.
11 Boni, litoyi emekaka maloba te ndenge lolemo emekaka bilei?
The ear distinguishes words just like the palate distinguishes foods.
12 Bwanya ezalaka kati na bampaka te? Bomoi ya molayi epesaka mayele te?
Wisdom to distinguish belongs to the old, and the ability to rightly discriminate belongs to those with long experience.
13 Bwanya mpe makasi ezali epai ya Nzambe, toli mpe mayele ezali ya Ye.
God has wisdom and power, counsel and understanding belong to him.
14 Bakokoka te kotonga lisusu oyo Ye asili kobebisa, bakokoka kokangola te moto oyo Ye asili kokanga.
If he tears something down, nobody can rebuild it. If he imprisons someone, nobody can free them.
15 Soki akangi mayi, bokawuki ekotaka; kasi soki afungoli yango, mokili ezindaka.
If God holds back the waters, everything dries up; if he releases the waters, the earth floods.
16 Makasi mpe elonga ezali ya Ye; moto oyo basili kokosa mpe moto oyo akosi, bango mibale bazali ya Ye.
He is mighty and victorious; both deceivers and those deceived are subject to him.
17 Amemaka bapesi toli na bowumbu mpe akomisaka basambisi bato ya maboma;
He leads counselors away stripped of their wisdom, he makes judges into fools.
18 afungolaka minyololo ya bakonzi mpe akangaka liputa na baloketo na bango;
He removes the chains of office from kings and makes them wear loincloths.
19 amemaka Banganga-Nzambe na bowumbu mpe akweyisaka bato oyo bavanda kala na bokonzi;
He leads priests away stripped of their religious garments, he overthrows the powerful.
20 akangaka minoko ya bato oyo balobaka malamu, alongolaka mikolo bososoli;
He takes away the advice of trusted advisors, he removes the discernment of the elders.
21 asopelaka bakonzi soni, abotolaka bibundeli ya bato ya makasi;
He pours scorn upon princes and takes away power from the strong.
22 abimisaka na pwasa, makambo ya sekele, makambo oyo ezali kati na molili, mpe abimisaka na pole bililingi oyo eleki mwindo;
He reveals what is hidden in darkness, and brings into the light the shadow of death.
23 atombolaka bikolo mpe abebisaka yango, akomisaka minene mindelo ya bikolo mpe apanzaka yango;
He makes nations great and he destroys them; he expands nations and ruins them.
24 alongolaka makanisi ya bakonzi ya bikolo mpe asalaka ete batambola kati na bisobe oyo ezanga nzela
He removes the understanding of rulers and makes them wander in the wilderness.
25 mpo ete batepatepa kati na molili, na kozanga pole; mpe asalaka ete batepatepa lokola moto alangwe masanga.
They grope around in the dark without a light. He makes them stagger like drunk people.
