< Jeremi 47 >
1 Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobaki na mosakoli Jeremi na tina na bato ya Filisitia liboso ete Faraon abundisa Gaza:
The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before the time that Pharaoh smote Gazzah.
2 Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi: « Tala ndenge nini mayi ezali kotomboka na nor, etondi lokola ebale oyo etondi mayi; ekozindisa mokili mpe biloko nyonso kati na yango, bingumba mpe bavandi na yango nyonso. Bato bakoganga, bavandi nyonso ya mokili bakolela
Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, waters are coming up out of the north, and they shall become an overflowing stream, and shall overflow the land, and what filleth it; the city, and those that dwell therein: and the men shall cry aloud, and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.
3 tango bakoyoka makelele ya bampunda koleka na lombangu, lokito ya bashar ya banguna mpe makelele ya bapine na yango. Batata bakozala lisusu na tango te ya kosunga bana na bango mpo ete maboko na bango ekolemba.
Because of the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his stud-horses, because of the rushing sound of his chariots, the rumbling of his wheels, fathers do not turn round to their children from their feebleness of hands;
4 Pamba te mokolo ekoki mpo na kobebisa bato nyonso ya Filisitia mpe kosilisa koboma batikali nyonso oyo bakoluka kosunga bingumba Tiri mpe Sidoni. Yawe akomi pene ya kobebisa bato ya Filisitia, batikali ya esanga ya Kafitori.
Because of the day that cometh to devastate all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth; for the Lord devastateth the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphthor.
5 Bakokokola suki ya moto ya Gaza lokola elembo ya matanga, Ashikeloni ekokanga monoko! Oh bino batikali kati na etando oyo ya lubwaku, kino tango nini bokotika komizokisa?
Baldness is come upon Gazzah; ruined is Ashkelon with the remnant of their valley: how long yet wilt thou cut thyself?
6 Bozali koganga: ‹ Ah mopanga ya Yawe, okopema tango nini? Zonga na ebombelo na yo, tika koboma mpe zala kimia! ›
Woe! thou sword of the Lord, how long yet wilt thou not be quiet? withdraw thyself into thy scabbard, take thee rest, and be still.
7 Kasi ndenge nini ezala kimia tango Yawe apesi yango mitindo ya kobundisa Ashikeloni mpe mikili oyo ezali pembeni ya ebale monene? »
Yet how canst thou be quiet? When the Lord hath given it a charge, against Ashkelon, and against the sea-coast—thither hath he destined it.
