< Jeremi 3 >
1 « Soki mobali abomi libala na mwasi na ye, mpe mwasi yango akei kobala mobali mosusu; boni, mobali yango akoki lisusu kozongela ye? Bomoni te ete mokili mobimba ekokoma penza mbindo? Nzokande yo, osalaki kindumba na mibali ebele, bongo olingi sik’oyo kozongela Ngai, » elobi Yawe.
One could say, Behold, if a man send away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, can he return unto her again? would not that land be greatly polluted? and thou hast played the harlot with many companions, and wilt yet return to me, saith the Lord.
2 « Tombola miso na yo na likolo ya bangomba mpe tala: Boni, ezali penza na esika epai wapi ozangaki kosala ekobo? Ovandaki na nzela mpo na kozela bamakangu, ovandaki wana lokola moto ya Arabi kati na esobe. Boye, okomisaki mokili mbindo na nzela ya ekobo na yo mpe ya misala na yo ya mabe.
Lift up thy eyes unto the mountain-tops, and see where thou hast not been lain with. On public roads hast thou sat for them, as the Arab in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy incests and with thy wickedness.
3 Yango wana, mvula ekangamaki, mpe mvula ya sima enokaki lisusu te. Kasi atako bongo, okangami kaka na kosala kindumba na yo mpe oboyi koyoka soni.
And [though] the early showers were withholden, and the latter rain came not: yet hadst thou a forehead of an incestuous wife, thou refusedst to feel shame.
4 Boni, obengaka Ngai te: ‹ Tata na ngai, moninga na ngai ya bomwana! ›
Wilt thou not from this time call out unto mem My father, the guide of my youth art thou?
5 Ozali kutu kotuna Ngai: ‹ Boni, kino tango nini okokanga kanda? Kotomboka na yo ekosila te? › Yango nde makambo ozali koloba, kasi ozali mpe kaka kokoba na misala na yo ya mabe. »
Will he bear grudge for ever? will he keep it to eternity? Behold, thou hast spoken [this], and yet hast done the things that are evil as much as thou wast able.
6 Tango Joziasi azalaki mokonzi, Yawe alobaki na ngai: « Omoni makambo Isalaele oyo apengwi nzela na Ngai azali kosala? Amataki likolo ya bangomba nyonso mpe atambolaki na se ya banzete nyonso ya mibesu mpo na kosala kindumba.
And the Lord said unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen what backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and hath played the harlot there.
7 Nakanisaki ete akozongela Ngai soki asilisi kosala makambo nyonso oyo azalaki na yango posa; kasi azongeli Ngai te, mpe ndeko na ye ya mwasi, mopengwi Yuda, amonaki yango.
And I thought that after she had done all these things, she would return unto me. But she returned not. And this saw her treacherous sister Judah.
8 Napesaki mopengwi Isalaele mokanda na ye ya koboma libala mpe nabenganaki ye likolo ya kindumba na ye; kasi namonaki ete ndeko na ye ya mwasi, mopengwi Yuda, abangaki te; ye mpe abimaki mpo na kosala kindumba.
And I saw, that, although because backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had sent her away, and given her bill of divorce unto her, still treacherous Judah her sister feared not, but went and played herself the harlot also.
9 Lokola ezalaki likambo ya pamba mpo na Isalaele kosala kindumba, akomisaki mokili mbindo mpe asalaki kindumba na banzambe ya bikeko oyo basala na mabanga mpe na banzete.
And it came to pass through her giddy incest, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stone and with wood.
10 Atako bongo, ndeko na ye ya mwasi, mopengwi Yuda, azongaki epai na Ngai te na motema na ye mobimba; azongaki na ye kaka likolo-likolo, » elobi Yawe.
And yet with all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not returned unto me with all her heart, but with falsehood, saith the Lord.
11 Yawe alobaki na ngai: « Mopengwi Isalaele azali sembo koleka mopengwi Yuda.
And the Lord said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself through the treacherous Judah.
12 Kende kosakola sango oyo na nor: ‹ Oh mopengwi Isalaele, zonga, › elobi Yawe, ‹ Nakokangela yo lisusu elongi te, pamba te nazali Moyengebene, › elobi Yawe. ‹ Nakokangela yo lisusu kanda te mpo na libela.
Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord: I will not cause my anger to fall upon you; for I am full of kindness, saith the Lord, I will not hear grudge for ever.
13 Ndima kaka mabe na yo, mpo ete otombokelaki Yawe, Nzambe na yo; obebisaki ngolu na yo epai ya banzambe ya bapaya, na se ya banzete nyonso ya mibesu, mpe otosaki Ngai te, › » elobi Yawe.
Only acknowledge thy iniquity, that against the Lord thy God thou hast rebelled, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and that unto my voice ye have not hearkened, saith the Lord.
14 « Bozonga epai na Ngai, bino batomboki, » elobi Yawe, « pamba te nazali mobali na bino ya libala. Kati na bino, nakozwa moto moko kati na engumba moko na moko, mpe bato mibale kati na etuka moko na moko, mpo na kozongisa bino na Siona.
Return, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am become your husband; and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and bring you to Zion:
15 Bongo nakopesa bino bakambi kolanda posa ya motema na Ngai, bakambi oyo bakotambolisa bino na bwanya mpe na mayele.
And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, and they shall feed you with knowledge and intelligence.
16 Na mikolo wana, tango bokokoma penza ebele na mokili, » elobi Yawe, « bato bakoloba lisusu te: ‹ Sanduku ya Boyokani ya Yawe. › Bakomitungisa lisusu mpo na yango te mpe bakokanisa yango lisusu te; kozanga na yango ekolobela bato eloko moko te, mpe bakoluka lisusu te kosala Sanduku ya Boyokani.
And it shall come to pass, when ye multiply and increase in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, that men shall not say any more, “The ark of the covenant of the Lord;” nor shall it come any more to mind; nor shall they remember it; nor shall they mention it; nor shall any thing be done any more [with it].
17 Na tango wana, bakobenga Yelusalemi Kiti ya Bokonzi ya Yawe, mpe bikolo nyonso ekosangana na Yelusalemi mpo na kopesa lokumu na Kombo na Yawe. Boye, bakolanda lisusu te baposa mabe ya mitema na bango.
At that time shall they call Jerusalem, The throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: and they shall not walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
18 Na tango wana, libota ya Yuda ekosangana elongo na libota ya Isalaele; longwa na mokili ya nor, bakokende nzela moko kino na mokili oyo napesaki batata na bino lokola libula.
In those days shall the house of Judah walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north unto the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
19 Namilobelaki: ‹ Esengo nini penza nazalaki na yango ya kokamata bino lokola bana mpe kopesa bino mikili ya kitoko, libula oyo eleki kitoko kati na bikolo! › Nakanisaki ete bokobenga Ngai ‹ Tata › mpe bokotika te kolanda Ngai.
But I had thought, How shall I establish thee among the [other] sons [of man], and give thee a desirable land, a heritage of glory of the hosts of nations? and I thought, My father thou wouldst call me, and that from me thou wouldst not turn away.
20 Kasi bino lisanga ya Isalaele, bokosi Ngai lokola mwasi oyo asangisi nzoto na mobali mosusu, » elobi Yawe.
But truly as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the Lord.
21 Koganga ezali koyokana na likolo ya bangomba: ezali mayi ya miso mpe kolelalela ya bana ya Isalaele, pamba te babebisi nzela na bango mpe babosani Yawe, Nzambe na bango.
A voice is now heard upon the mountain-tops, the supplicatory weeping of the children of Israel; for they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the Lord their God.
22 « Bino batomboki, bozonga epai na Ngai mpe nakobikisa bino na kopengwa na bino! » « Solo, tokozonga epai na Yo, pamba te Yo, Yawe, nde ozali Nzambe na biso.
Return, ye backsliding children, I will heal your backslidings. “Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the Lord our God.
23 Solo, bisala-sala oyo ezali kosalema na bangomba mikuse mpe milayi ezali kaka makelele ya pamba. Solo, Yawe, Nzambe na biso, azali Lobiko ya Isalaele.
Truly deceptive was [what we hoped for] from the hills, and the multitude on the mountains; truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.
24 Wuta bolenge na biso, banzambe ya bikeko ebebisaki mbuma ya misala ya batata na biso, bibwele na bango mpe ngombe na bango, bana na bango ya mibali mpe ya basi.
And shame hath devoured the acquisition of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
25 Soni ekomi lokola mbeto na biso, mpe kosambwa, lokola bulangeti mpo na komizipa; pamba te biso mpe batata na biso, tosalaki masumu liboso ya Yawe, Nzambe na biso, totosaki Yawe te, wuta bolenge na biso. »
We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us; for against the Lord our God have we sinned, we and our fathers, from our youth even until this day; and we have not hearkened to the voice of the Lord our God.”
