< Ezayi 9 >
1 Nzokande, molili ekozala lisusu te mpo na bato oyo bazalaki na pasi. Na tango ya kala, Nzambe asambwisaki mokili ya Zabuloni mpe ya Nefitali; kasi na mikolo oyo ekoya, Nzambe akopesa lokumu na Galile ya bapagano, na nzela ya ebale monene, na ngambo mosusu ya Yordani.
Drink this first. Act quickly, O land of Zabulon, land of Nephthalim, and the rest [inhabiting] the sea-coast, and [the land] beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles.
2 Bato oyo bazalaki kotambola kati na molili bamoni pole makasi; ba-oyo bazalaki kovanda kati na mokili ya bakufi, pole engengeli bango.
O people walking in darkness, behold a great light: you that dwell in the region [and] shadow of death, a light shall shine upon you.
3 Okomisaki bango ekolo monene, obakisaki esengo na bango. Bazali kosepela liboso na Yo ndenge basepelaka tango babukaka milona, ndenge mibali basepelaka tango bakabolaka bomengo ya bitumba.
The multitude of the people which you have brought down in your joy, they shall even rejoice before you as they that rejoice in harvest, and as they that divide the spoil.
4 Pamba te ekangiseli oyo ezalaki na likolo na bango, nzete oyo ezalaki na mapeka na bango mpe fimbu oyo na nzela na yango bazalaki konyokola bango, Yo, obukaki yango lokola na mokolo ya kokweya ya Madiani.
Because the yoke that was laid upon them has been taken away, and the rod that was on their neck: for he has broken the rod of the exactors, as in the day of Madiam.
5 Basapato nyonso ya basoda oyo lokito na yango eningisaka mabele, mpe bilamba nyonso oyo etondaki na makila, ekobwakama na moto mpo ete ezika makasi.
For they shall compensate for every garment that has been acquired by deceit, and [all] raiment with restitution; and they shall be willing, [even] if they were burnt with fire.
6 Pamba te mwana mobali moko abotami mpo na biso, mwana mobali moko apesameli biso, mpe bokonzi ezali na likolo ya mapeka na ye; bakobenga ye: Mosungi ya kokamwa, Nzambe ya nguya, Tata ya seko, Mokonzi ya kimia.
For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder: and his name is called the Messenger of great counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him.
7 Bokonzi na ye ekokende mosika penza, mpe kimia na ye ekozala na suka te. Akovanda na kiti ya bokonzi ya Davidi, akozala mokonzi ya mokili na ye, akolendisa mpe akokamba yango na bosembo mpe na boyengebene, wuta na tango oyo kino libela na libela. Yango nde makambo oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, akosala na bolingo makasi na Ye.
His government shall be great, and of his peace there is no end: [it shall be] upon the throne of David, and [upon] his kingdom, to establish it, and to support [it] with judgment and with righteousness, from henceforth and forever. The seal of the Lord of hosts shall perform this.
8 Nkolo atindaki liloba mpo na kotelemela Jakobi, mpe liloba yango ekomeli Isalaele.
The Lord has sent death upon Jacob, and it has come upon Israel.
9 Bato nyonso bakoyeba yango, Efrayimi mpe bavandi ya Samari, oyo balobaka na lofundu mpe na lolendo ya mitema:
And all the people of Ephraim, and they that lived in Samaria shall know, who say in their pride and lofty heart,
10 « Ata babiliki ekweyi, tokotonga lisusu na mabanga bakata; ata bakati banzete ya sikomori, tokotia na esika na yango banzete ya sedele. »
The bricks are fallen down, but come, let us hew stones, and cut down sycamores and cedars, and let us build for ourselves a tower.
11 Kasi Yawe alendisaki bayini ya Retsini mpo na kobundisa bango mpe apelisaki mitema ya banguna na bango mpo ete batombokela bango.
And God shall dash down them that rise up against him on mount Sion, and shall scatter his enemies;
12 Bato ya Siri na liboso, mpe bato ya Filisitia na sima, bapasolaki Isalaele mpe baliaki ye na lokoso. Kasi atako bongo, kanda ya Yawe ekitaki kaka te, loboko na Ye etikalaki kaka ya kosembolama.
[even] Syria from the rising of the sun, and the Greeks from the setting of the sun, who devour Israel with open mouth. For all this [his] anger is not turned away, but still [his] hand is exalted.
13 Kasi atako bongo, bato bazongaki kaka te epai na Yawe oyo abetaki bango, mpe balukaki te Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga.
But the people turned not until they were struck, and they sought not the Lord.
14 Yango wana, kaka na mokolo moko, Yawe akokata, kati na Isalaele, moto mpe mokila, lindalala mpe nzete oyo ebotaka na mayi.
So the Lord took away from Israel the head and tail, great and small, in one day:
15 Bampaka mpe bato ya lokumu, bango nde moto; mpe basakoli ya lokuta, bango nde mokila.
the old man, and them that respect persons, this is the head; and the prophet teaching unlawful things, he is the tail.
16 Bakambi ya bato babungisi bato na bango nzela, mpe bato oyo balandaka bango bakomi kotelengana.
And they that pronounce this people blessed shall mislead them; and they mislead them that they may devour them.
17 Yango wana, Nkolo akosepela na bilenge te, akoyokela bana bitike mpe basi bakufisa mibali mawa te, pamba te bango nyonso bazali kotiola Nzambe, bazali kosala mabe, mpe minoko nyonso ezali kobimisa maloba ya bozoba. Kasi atako bongo, kanda ya Yawe ekitaki te, loboko na Ye etikalaki kaka ya kosembolama.
Therefore the Lord shall not take pleasure in their young men, neither shall he have pity on their orphans or on their widows: for they are all transgressors and wicked, and every mouth speaks unjustly. For all this [his] anger is not turned away, but [his] hand is yet exalted.
18 Solo, mabe etumbaka lokola moto oyo ezikisaka basende mpe banzube, ezikisaka bazamba minene mpe ematisaka makonzi ya milinga.
And iniquity shall burn as fire, and shall be devoured by fire as dry grass: and it shall burn in the thickets of the wood, and shall devour all that is round about the hills.
19 Na kanda makasi ya Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, mokili eziki na moto, mpe bato bakomi lokola mafuta na moto. Moto moko te akobikisa ndeko na ye.
The whole earth is set on fire because of the fierce anger of the Lord, and the people shall be as men burnt by fire: no man shall pity his brother.
20 Na ngambo ya loboko ya mobali, bakobotola bato biloko, kasi bato bakozala kaka na nzala; na ngambo ya loboko ya mwasi, bakolia, kasi bato bakotonda kaka te; moko na moko akolia mosuni ya loboko na ye:
But [one] shall turn aside to the right hand, for he shall be hungry; and shall eat on the left, and a man shall by no means be satisfied with eating the flesh of his own arm.
21 Manase akolia Efrayimi, mpe Efrayimi akolia Manase; bango mibale bakosangana mpe bakobalukela Yuda. Kasi atako bongo, kanda ya Yawe ekitaki kaka te, loboko na Ye etikalaki kaka ya kosembolama.
For Manasses shall eat [the flesh] of Ephraim, and Ephraim [the flesh] of Manasses; for they shall besiege Juda together. For all this [his] anger is not turned away, but [his] hand is yet exalted.
