1 Moto ya sembo azali kokufa, kasi ezali kosala ata moto moko te motema pasi; bato ya malamu bazali kosila, mpe ata moto moko te azali kososola ete bato ya sembo bazali kolongolama mpo ete bazala mosika na mabe.
The righteous man perisheth, and no one layeth it to heart; And pious men are taken away, and none considereth That because of the evil the righteous man is taken away.
2 Bato oyo batambolaka na bosembo bakokota na kimia, bakozwa bopemi na bambeto na bango.
He entereth into peace; He resteth in his bed, Every one that walketh in uprightness.
3 « Kasi bino, boya awa, bino bana ya mwasi ya soloka, bino bana oyo bobotami na nzela ya ekobo mpe ya kindumba.
But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, Ye brood of the adulterer and the harlot!
4 Bozali koseka nani? Bozali kofungolela nani monoko? Bozali kotiela nani penza monoko? Boni, bozali bana ya batomboki te, bozali libota ya lokuta te?
Of whom do ye make your sport, And at whom do ye make wide the mouth, And draw out the tongue? Are ye not rebellious children, a treacherous brood?
5 Bozali kopela na posa mabe na se ya banzete minene oyo babengaka terebente, na se ya banzete nyonso ya mibesu; bozali kobonza bana na bino ya mibali lokola bambeka kati na lubwaku mpe kati na mabulu ya mabanga.
Burning with lust for idols Under every green tree, Slaying children in the valleys, Under the clefts of the rocks?
6 Libula na yo ezali nde banzambe ya bikeko kati na mabanga ya lubwaku, oyo babongisa; solo, yango nde ezali libula na yo. Solo penza, ezali epai na yango nde ozali kosopa makabo ya masanga ya vino mpe kobonza makabo ya bambuma. Boni, nasepela solo na makambo ya boye?
With the smooth stones of the valley is thy portion; These, these are thy lot; Here thou pourest out thy drink-offering, And presentest thy meat-offering; Can I see such things, and be at rest?
7 Otiaki mbeto na yo na likolo, na songe ya ngomba; kuna nde ozalaki komata mpo na kobonza mbeka.
Upon a high and lofty mountain settest thou thy bed; Thither dost thou go up to offer sacrifice;
8 Otiaki nzambe na yo ya ekeko na sima ya ekuke na yo mpe ya mabaya oyo esimbaka ekuke yango. Osundoli ngai, olongoli bilamba na yo, omati likolo ya mbeto na yo; osali boyokani elongo na bato oyo olingaka kosangisa na bango nzoto mpe oluki komona bolumbu na bango.
Behind the doors and the posts dost thou place thy memorial; Thou departest from me, and uncoverest, and ascendest, and enlargest thy bed. Thou makest an agreement with them; Thou desirest their bed; Thou choosest a place.
9 Okendeki epai ya Moloki na mafuta ya olive mpe obakisaki lisusu malasi na yo. Otindaki bantoma na yo mosika, omikitisaki na se penza kino na mboka ya bakufi. (Sheol )
Thou goest to the king with oil, And takest much precious perfume; Thou sendest thine ambassadors afar, Yea, down to the under-world. (Sheol )
10 Nzela na yo nyonso elembisaki yo nzoto, kasi omilobelaki te: ‹ Ezali na tina te! › Loboko na yo ezwaki lisusu makasi ya sika, yango wana olembaki te.
In the length of thy journeys thou hast wearied thyself, But thou sayest not, “I will desist”; Thou yet findest life in thy hand, Therefore thou art not discouraged.
11 Ozalaki na somo ya nani to ozalaki kobanga nani mpo ete okosa Ngai to obosana Ngai, to mpe obimisa Ngai na motema na yo? Boni, ezali te mpo ete navandaki kimia tango molayi nde ozali kobanga Ngai te?
On account of whom art thou anxious, and of whom art thou afraid, that thou hast proved false, And hast not remembered me, nor laid it to heart? Behold, I have been silent a long time; Therefore thou fearest me not.
12 Nakobimisa bosembo mpe misala na yo na pwasa, mpe ekozala na litomba ata moko te mpo na yo.
But now I announce thy deliverance, And thy works do not profit thee.
13 Tika ete mopiku ya banzambe na yo ya bikeko ebikisa yo tango okoluka lisungi! Mopepe makasi ekomema yango nyonso, mopepe moko ekopikola yango. Kasi moto oyo akomisaka Ngai ebombamelo na ye akozwa lokola libula mokili mpe ngomba na Ngai ya bule. »
When thou criest, let thy host of idols deliver thee! But the wind shall bear them all away; A breath shall take them off; But he that putteth his trust in me Shall possess the land, And shall inherit my holy mountain.
14 Bakoloba: « Botondisa mabele, botondisa mabele, bobongisa nzela, bolongola mabaku na nzela ya bato na Ngai! »
Men shall say, Cast up, cast up, prepare the road; Remove every obstruction from the way of my people!
15 Pamba te, tala liloba oyo Ye-Oyo-Aleki-Likolo, Ye oyo akowumela seko na seko mpe azali bule, alobi: « Navandaka na esika oyo eleki likolo mpe ya bule; kasi navandaka mpe elongo na moto oyo azali na pasi mpe oyo molimo na ye ebukani, mpo na kolendisa lisusu molimo oyo etutami mpe motema oyo ebukani.
For thus saith the high and lofty One That inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place; With him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit; To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 Nakosambisa mpo na libela te mpe nakozala na kanda tango nyonso te, noki te molimo ya moto nyonso oyo nasala ekokufa na miso na Ngai.
For I will not contend forever, Nor will I be always angry; For life would fail before me, And the souls which I created.
17 Natombokaki likolo ya posa na ye ya kozwa bomengo na nzela ya moyibi; napesaki ye etumbu, nabombaki elongi na Ngai na kanda, kasi apengwaki kaka mpo na kolanda posa mabe ya motema na ye.
For the guilt of his covetousness I was angry; I smote him, I hid myself, and was angry; But yet he went on perversely in the way of his heart.
18 Namonaki banzela na ye, kasi nakobikisa ye; nakotambolisa ye mpe nakobondisa ye.
I have seen his ways, yet will I heal him; I will guide him, and I will restore comfort To him and to his mourners;
19 Nakotia masanzoli na bibebu ya bato oyo bazali kolela na Isalaele. Kimia, kimia ezala epai na ye oyo azali mosika, mpe epai na ye oyo azali pene, » elobi Yawe. « Mpe nakobikisa bango. »
I create the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is nigh, Saith Jehovah; I will heal him.
20 Kasi bato mabe bazali lokola ebale oyo etomboki, oyo evandaka kimia te: mayi na yango ebwakaka potopoto mpe bosoto libanda.
But the wicked is like the troubled sea, Which cannot rest, Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 Nzambe na ngai alobi: « Kimia ezali te mpo na bato mabe. »
There is no peace, saith my God, for the wicked.
