1 Bobondisa, bobondisa bato na Ngai, elobi Nzambe na bino.
“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.
2 Boloba kati na Yelusalemi, boyebisa ye ete minyoko na ye ekomi na suka, masumu na ye esili kolimbisama, pamba te asili kozwa na loboko ya Yawe ngolu koleka mbala mibale mpo na masumu na ye nyonso.
“Speak comfortably to Jerusalem [City of peace]; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her depravity (moral evil) is pardoned, that she has received of Adonai’s hand double for all her habitual sins ·missing the marks·.”
3 Mongongo ya moto moko ezali kobelela: « Kati na esobe, bobongisa nzela mpo na Yawe; kati na mabele ya kokawuka, bosembolela Nzambe na biso nzela moko ya monene.
The voice of one who calls out, “Prepare the way of Adonai in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our God.
4 Tika ete mabwaku nyonso ekundama, bangomba nyonso ya milayi to ya mikuse ekitisama, banzela nyonso oyo etengama esembolama, mpe mabulu nyonso ekoma bitando.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.
5 Bongo, nkembo na Yawe ekomonisama, mpe bato nyonso bakomona yango elongo; » pamba te Yawe nde alobi.
Adonai’s kavod ·weighty glory· shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Adonai has spoken it.”
6 Mongongo moko elobi: « Belela! » Mpe nazongisaki: « Nabelela likambo nini? » « Bato nyonso bazalaka lokola matiti, mpe nkembo na bango nyonso ezalaka lokola bafololo ya bilanga.
The voice of one saying, “Cry!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its chesed ·loving-kindness· is like the flower of the field.
7 Matiti ekawukaka mpe fololo elembaka, tango mopepe ya Yawe elekaka likolo na yango. Solo, bato bazali lokola matiti:
The grass withers, the flower fades, because Adonai’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.
8 Matiti ekawukaka mpe fololo elembaka, kasi Liloba na Nzambe na biso ewumelaka seko na seko. »
The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.”
9 Mata likolo ya ngomba, Siona, yo momemi sango malamu; tombola mongongo na yo mpe ganga makasi, Yelusalemi, yo momemi sango malamu; tombola yango penza, kobanga te; loba na bingumba ya Yuda: « Botala Nzambe na bino! »
You who tell good news to Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Jerusalem [City of peace], lift up your voice with strength. Lift it up. Don’t be afraid. Say to the cities of Judah [Praised], “Behold, your God!”
10 Botala, Nkolo Yawe azali koya na nguya, loboko na Ye ezali kopesa Ye makoki ya kokonza. Botala, azali na lifuti elongo na Ye, azali kotambola na lifuti na Ye.
Behold, 'Adonay Adonai [Lord Yahweh] will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.
11 Azali kobatela etonga na Ye lokola mobateli bibwele: kosangisa bana meme na maboko na Ye mpe kokanga bango na tolo na Ye; kotambolisa malembe-malembe bana meme ya basi oyo ezali nanu komela mabele.
He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.
12 Nani asila komeka ebale monene kati na loboko na Ye, to likolo na nzela ya molayi ya misapi na Ye? Nani asila kosangisa putulu nyonso ya mabele kati na katini moko to komeka kilo ya bangomba milayi na nzela ya ndobo to komeka kilo ya bangomba mikuse na nzela ya emekelo kilo?
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span [9 in; 22.86 cm], and calculated the dust of the earth in a measuring basket, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13 Nani asosoli makanisi ya Yawe to apesi Ye toli lokola molakisi?
Who has directed Ruach Yahweh [Spirit, Breath of He sustains breathing] or has taught him as his counselor?
14 Yawe atunaki toli na nani mpo ete apesa Ye mayele? Nani alakisaki Ye ndenge bakataka makambo na sembo to apesaki Ye boyebi, to mpe ateyaki Ye nzela ya bososoli?
Who did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of mishpat ·justice·, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
15 Solo, bikolo ezali lokola litanga moko ya mayi na katini, lokola putulu kati na emekelo kilo! Tala, amekaka bisanga lokola eloko ya moke penza.
Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.
16 Banzete ya Libani ekokoka te mpo na kopelisa moto ya etumbelo, mpe banyama na yango ekokoka te mpo na kotumba mbeka.
Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering.
17 Na miso na Ye, bikolo nyonso ezali lokola biloko pamba; amonaka yango lokola eloko pamba to mpe lokola eloko te.
All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.
18 Bolingi kokokanisa Nzambe na nani? Bolingi kokokanisa Ye na elilingi nini?
To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?
19 Ndenge basalaka ekeko, mosali bikeko anyangwisi ebende na moto mpe asali ekeko; mosali ya wolo abambi ekeko yango wolo, bongo akangisi yango na basheneti ya palata.
A workman has cast an image, and the goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts silver chains for it.
20 Moto oyo azangi makoki ya kobonza makabo ya boye mpo ete azali mobola makasi akopona nzete oyo epolaka te; akoluka mosali bikeko oyo azali penza mayele mpo na kosala nzambe ya ekeko oyo eninganaka te.
He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks a skillful workman to set up an engraved image for him that will not be moved.
21 Boyebi yango te? Boyoka nanu yango te? Bayebisa bino nanu yango te wuta na ebandeli? Bososola nanu yango te wuta mokili esalema?
Haven’t you known? Haven’t you sh'ma ·heard obeyed·, yet? Haven’t you been told from the beginning? Haven’t you understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 Yawe avandaka na likolo ya mondelo ya mabele, epai wapi bato na yango bamonanaka lokola mabanki; atandaki likolo lokola liputa mpe afungolaki yango lokola ndako ya kapo mpo na kovanda kuna;
It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;
23 akomisaka bakonzi ya mokili bato pamba, mpe bakambi na yango lokola biloko pamba.
who brings princes to nothing; who makes the judges of the earth like meaningless.
24 Tango nanu batiami kutu na mabele te, nanu balonami kutu te, mobimbi na bango ezwi nanu ata misisa te, afuli bango lokola mopepe mpe bakawuki, bongo mopepe makasi ememi bango lokola matiti ya kokawuka.
They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.
25 « Bolingi kokokanisa Ngai na nani? Bolingi kotia Ngai esika moko na nani, » elobi Ye oyo azali Mosantu?
“To whom then will you liken me? Who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Botombola miso na bino mpe botala na likolo: Nani akela biloko nyonso ya likolo: moyi, sanza, minzoto mpe biloko mosusu? Ezali Ye oyo abimisaka mampinga nyonso ya minzoto mpe abengaka yango moko na moko na kombo na yango. Mpo na bokonzi monene mpe nguya makasi na Ye, moko te kati na yango ezangaka.
Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their army by number. He calls them all by name. By the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, Not one is lacking.
27 Oh Jakobi, mpo na nini ozali koloba; oh Isalaele, mpo na nini kotatola: « Nzela na ngai ebombami na miso ya Yawe, likambo na ngai eyebani te na Nzambe na ngai? »
Why do you say, Jacob [Supplanter], and speak, Israel [God prevails], “My way is hidden from Adonai, and the mishpat ·justice· due to me is passed over by my God?”
28 Oyebi te? Nanu oyoka te? Yawe azali Nzambe ya libela na libela, azali Mokeli ya basuka ya mabele; alembaka te mpe apemaka te, mpe moko te akoki kososola mayele na Ye.
Haven’t you known? Haven’t you sh'ma ·heard obeyed·? The everlasting God, Adonai, The Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint. He is not weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
29 Apesaka makasi na bato oyo balembi mpe abakisaka nguya na bato oyo bazanga nguya.
He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
30 Solo, bilenge bapemaka mpe balembaka, bilombe batengaka-tengaka;
Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;
31 basi bato oyo batiaka elikya na Yawe, Yawe ayeisaka makasi na bango ya sika: bapumbwaka likolo lokola bampongo, bapotaka mbangu mpe bapemaka te, batambolaka mpe balembaka te.
But those who wait for Adonai will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
