1 Mawa na bato oyo bazali kokende na Ejipito mpo na koluka lisungi, oyo bazali kotia mitema na bampunda, oyo bazali kotia elikya na bashar mpo ete ezali ebele, mpe na nguya ya basoda oyo batambolisaka yango, kasi batalelaka Mosantu ya Isalaele te mpe balukaka lisungi epai na Yawe te!
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, who trust in horses and chariots, for they are many; and in horses, [which are] a great multitude; and have not trusted in the Holy One of Israel, and have not sought the Lord.
2 Nzokande, Ye mpe azali na bwanya mpe akoki koyeisa pasi; abongolaka maloba na Ye te. Atelemelaka ndako ya bato mabe mpe bato oyo basungaka bango.
Therefore he has wisely brought evils upon them, and his word shall not be frustrated; and he shall rise up against the houses of wicked men, and against their vain hope,
3 Bato ya Ejipito bazali kaka bato, kasi bazali Nzambe te, bampunda na bango ezali kaka mosuni, kasi ezali molimo te. Tango Yawe akosembola loboko na Ye, ye oyo asungaka akobeta libaku, mpe ye oyo bazali kosunga akokweya; bongo, bango mibale bakobebisama.
[even] an Egyptian, a man, and not God; the flesh of horses, and there is no help [in them]: but the Lord shall bring his hand upon them, and the helpers shall fail, and all shall perish together.
4 Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi na ngai: « Ndenge nkosi to mwana nkosi egangaka liboso ya mosuni na yango, ata lisanga monene ya babateli bibwele basangani mpo na kotelemela yango, ezalaka na somo ya makelele na bango te mpe ezongaka sima te na mangungu na bango, ndenge wana mpe Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, akokita na ngomba Siona mpe na ngomba na yango ya moke mpo na kobunda.
For thus said the Lord to me, As a lion would roar, or a lion's whelp over prey which he has taken, and cry over it, until the mountains are filled with his voice, and [the animals] are awe-struck and tremble at the fierceness of his wrath: so the Lord of hosts shall descend to fight upon the mount Sion, [even] upon her mountains.
5 Ndenge ndeke efungolaka mapapu na yango, ndenge wana mpe Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, akobatela Yelusalemi, akobatela mpe akokangola, akobikisa yango na likama mpe akosunga yango. »
As birds flying, so shall the Lord of hosts defend; he shall defend Jerusalem, and he shall rescue, and save and deliver.
6 Oh bana ya Isalaele, bozonga epai na Ye oyo botombokeli makasi!
Turn, you children of Israel, who devise a deep and sinful counsel.
7 Na mokolo wana, moko na moko kati na bino akobwaka banzambe na ye ya bikeko ya palata mpe ya wolo oyo bosalaki na maboko na bino ya masumu.
For in that day men shall renounce their silver idols and [their] golden idols, which their hands made.
8 « Mokili ya Asiri ekokweyisama na mopanga ya moto ya mokili oyo te, ekobebisama na mopanga ya moto te. Bato ya Asiri bakokima liboso ya mopanga, mpe basoda na bango ya bilenge bakokoma kosala misala ya makasi.
And the Assyrian shall fall: not the sword of a great man, nor the sword of a mean man shall devour him; neither shall he flee from the face of the sword: but the young men shall be overthrown:
9 Libanga na bango ya makasi ekolimwa na somo; mpe bakambi na bango bakolenga na somo na komona bendele ya etumba, » elobi Yawe oyo moto na Ye ezali kati na Siona mpe fulu ya moto na Ye ezali kati na Yelusalemi.
for they shall be compassed with rocks as with a trench, and shall be worsted; and he that flees shall be taken. Thus says the Lord, Blesses is he that has a seed in Sion, and household friends in Jerusalem.
