< Ba-Ebre 10 >
1 Mobeko ya Moyize ezali kaka elilingi ya biloko oyo ekoya, ezali penza bosolo na yango te; yango wana, ezali na makoki te ya kokomisa ya kokoka, bato oyo bapusanaka pene ya Nzambe na nzela ya bambeka ya ndenge moko kaka oyo bapesaka tango nyonso mpe mobu na mobu.
The law is just a shadow of the good that was to come, and not the actual reality. So it can never through the repeated sacrifices offered year after year make right those who come to worship God.
2 Soki ezalaki na makoki yango, mbele bato oyo bapesaka bambeka yango balingaki wuta kala kotika kopesa yango, pamba te balingaki kopetolama mbala moko mpo na libela, mpe balingaki lisusu komitungisa te mpo na masumu na bango.
Otherwise wouldn't the sacrifices have stopped being offered? If the worshipers had been made clean once and for all, they wouldn't have had guilty consciences any longer.
3 Nzokande, mobu na mobu, bambeka wana ezalaki kozongisa masumu na makanisi na bango,
But in fact those sacrifices remind people of sins year after year,
4 pamba te makila ya bangombe ya mibali mpe ya bantaba ezali na makoki te ya kolongola masumu.
because it's impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to remove sins.
5 Yango wana, tango Klisto ayaki na mokili, alobaki: « Ozalaki na posa te ya bambeka to ya makabo, kasi osalaki ngai nzoto.
That's why when Christ came into the world he said, “You didn't want sacrifices or offerings, but you did prepare a body for me.
6 Osepelaki te na bambeka ya kotumba mpe na bambeka mpo na masumu.
Burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin gave you no pleasure.
7 Bongo nalobaki: ‹ Tala ngai oyo, nayei, nayei, oh Nzambe, mpo na kosala mokano na Yo, kolanda ndenge ekomami na tina na ngai kati na buku. › »
Then I said, ‘God, see I've come to do what you want me to do, just as it says about me in the book.’”
8 Alobaki liboso: « Ozalaki na posa te mpe osepelaki te na bambeka, na makabo, na bambeka ya kotumba mpe na bambeka mpo na masumu. » Nzokande ezalaki kopesama kolanda Mibeko.
As mentioned above, “You didn't want sacrifices or offerings, and burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin gave you no pleasure,” (even though they are offered in accordance with the law's requirements).
9 Alobaki lisusu: « Tala ngai oyo, nayei mpo na kosala mokano na Yo. » Boye, alongolaki losambo ya liboso mpo na kotia losambo ya mibale.
Then he said, “See, I've come to do what you want.” He gets rid of the first agreement so he can set up the second,
10 Mpe ezali mpo na mokano yango ya Nzambe nde topetolamaka na masumu, na nzela ya mbeka ya nzoto na Ye moko Yesu-Klisto, oyo akabaki mbala moko mpo na libela.
through which we all are made holy through Jesus Christ offering his body once and for all time.
11 Mpo na kosala mosala na ye ya bonganga, Nganga-Nzambe nyonso azalaki kokende na esika na ye ya mosala mokolo na mokolo, mpe azalaki kopesa mbala na mbala bambeka ya ndenge moko oyo ezalaki kutu na makoki te ya kolongola masumu ya bato.
Every priest officiates in the services day after day, again and again offering the same sacrifices that can never remove sins.
12 Kasi sima na Klisto kobonza mbeka moko kaka mpo na masumu, avandi mpo na libela na ngambo ya loboko ya mobali ya Nzambe.
But this Priest, after he had offered for sins a single sacrifice that lasts forever, sat down at God's right hand.
13 Wuta tango wana, azali kozela ete Nzambe akomisa banguna na Ye enyatelo makolo na Ye.
Now he waits until all his enemies are conquered, becoming like a footstool for him.
14 Pamba te, na nzela ya likabo moko kaka, akomisaki bato ya kokoka mpo na libela, ba-oyo apetolaki na masumu.
For by a single sacrifice he has set right forever those who are being made holy.
15 Molimo Mosantu mpe azali kotatola epai na biso na tina na Ye, pamba te alobaki liboso:
As the Holy Spirit also tells us, for having said,
16 « Tala boyokani oyo nakosala elongo na bango sima na mikolo wana, elobi Nkolo: Nakotia mibeko na Ngai kati na makanisi na bango, mpe nakokoma yango kati na mitema na bango. »
“This is the agreement that I will make with them later on, says the Lord. I will put my laws inside them, and I will write them in their minds.” Then he adds,
17 Bongo na sima, abakisaki: « Nakokanisa lisusu te, ezala masumu na bango to mabe na bango. »
“I won't remember their sins and lawlessness anymore.”
18 Nzokande, soki Nzambe alimbisi moto masumu, ezalaka lisusu te na likabo ya kopesa mpo na masumu.
Once free from such things, sin offerings are no longer needed.
19 Yango wana, bandeko na ngai, tozali solo na elikya ete tokokota na Esika-Oyo-Eleki-Bule mpo ete Yesu asopaki makila na Ye.
Now we have the confidence, brothers and sisters, to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.
20 Afungolelaki biso nzela ya sika mpe ya bomoi na nzela ya rido ya Tempelo, oyo ezali nzoto na Ye moko.
Through his life and death, he opened up a brand-new, living way through the veil to God.
21 Boye, tozali na Mokonzi Monene ya Banganga-Nzambe, oyo azali Mokonzi ya Ndako ya Nzambe.
Since we have such a great priest placed in charge over the house of God,
22 Na bongo, topusana pene ya Nzambe na motema mobimba, na kondima nyonso, na motema oyo epetolami na makanisi nyonso ya mabe, mpe na nzoto oyo esukolami na mayi ya peto.
let us come close to God with sincere minds, totally trusting in him. Our minds have been sprinkled to purify them from our evil way of thinking, and our bodies have been washed clean by pure water.
23 Tobatela makasi elikya oyo tozali kondima ete ezali ya solo, pamba te Ye oyo apesaki biso bilaka akosaka te.
So let us hold onto the hope we're telling others about, never hesitating, for God who promised is trustworthy.
24 Tosenzelana biso na biso mpo na kotindikana na bolingo mpe na misala ya malamu.
Let's think about how we can motivate one another to love and to do what is good.
25 Tokima Bandako ya Nzambe na biso te, ndenge bato mosusu bamesana kosala; kasi tolendisana biso na biso, wana bozali komona ete mokolo ya Nkolo ekomi pene.
We should not give up meeting together, as some have done. In fact we should be encouraging one another, especially as you see the End approaching.
26 Pamba te, soki tokobi kosala masumu na nko sima na koyeba bosolo, mbeka mosusu mpo na bolimbisi ya masumu ekozala lisusu te;
For if we deliberately go on sinning after we've understood the truth, there's no longer any sacrifice for sins.
27 ekotikala kaka kozela na somo penza kosambisama mpe moto makasi oyo ekozikisa banguna ya Nzambe.
All that's left is fear, expecting the impending judgment and the terrible fire that destroys those who are hostile to God.
28 Soki babomaka na mawa te moto oyo abuki Mobeko ya Moyize, na litatoli ya bato mibale to misato,
Someone who rejects the law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.
29 ekozala boni mpo na moto oyo atioli Mwana na Nzambe, amoni pamba makila ya boyokani, oyo epetolaki ye, mpe afingi Molimo ya ngolu?
How much worse do you think someone will deserve their punishment if they have trampled underfoot the Son of God, if they have disregarded the blood that sealed the agreement and makes us holy, treating it as ordinary and trivial, and have abused the Spirit of grace?
30 Toyebi malamu Ye oyo alobaki: « Ngai nde nazongisaka mabe na mabe, Ngai nde nakofuta moto na moto; » mpe: « Nkolo akosambisa bato na Ye. »
We know God, and he said, “I will make sure that justice is done; I will give people what they deserve.” He also said, “The Lord will judge his people.”
31 Ezali somo makasi kokweya na maboko ya Nzambe na bomoi!
It's terrifying to come under the power of the living God.
32 Bokanisa lisusu mikolo ya liboso, na tango Nzambe afungolaki bino miso mpo ete bokoma komona pole, boyikaki mpiko kati na bapasi ya makasi.
Just remember the past when, after you understood the truth, you experienced a great deal of suffering.
33 Ezalaki na batango oyo bazalaki kofinga bino, konyokola bino na miso ya bato; ezalaki mpe na batango oyo bozalaki kokabola pasi elongo na bato oyo bazalaki konyokwama.
Sometimes you were made a spectacle of, being insulted and attacked; at other times you stood in solidarity with those who were suffering.
34 Bokabolaki pasi elongo na bakangami ya boloko, mpe bondimaki na esengo nyonso ete babotola ata biloko na bino, pamba te boyebaki ete bozali na bomengo ya kitoko koleka, bomengo oyo ekowumela libela na libela.
You showed your sympathy for those in prison, and took it cheerfully when your possessions were confiscated, knowing that you have something better coming that will truly last.
35 Boye, bobungisa elikya na bino te, pamba te lifuti monene ekangani na yango.
So don't lose your confidence in God—it will be richly rewarded.
36 Na bongo, boyika mpiko mpo ete, sima na bino kokokisa mokano ya Nzambe, bozwa biloko oyo alakaki.
You need to be patient so that having done what God wants, you'll receive what he has promised.
37 Etikali moke, moke penza, ete Ye oyo asengeli koya aya, mpe akoya kala te.
“In just a little while he will come, as he said—he won't delay.
38 Moto na ngai ya sembo akobika na nzela ya kondima; kasi soki azongi sima, nakosepela na ye te.
Those who do what is right will live by trusting in God, and if they draw back from their commitment, I won't be pleased with them.”
39 Biso tozali te na molongo ya bato oyo bazongaka sima mpo na kobungisa bomoi na bango, kasi tozali na molongo ya bato oyo bazali na kondima mpo ete tobikisama.
But we're not the kind of people who draw back and end up being lost. We are those who trust in God to save us.
