1 Sima na makambo oyo, tango Aritakizerisesi azalaki mokonzi ya Persi, Esidrasi, mwana mobali ya Seraya, mwana mobali ya Azaria, mwana mobali ya Ilikia,
Now, after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra, —son of Seraiah, son of Azariah, son of Hilkiah;
2 mwana mobali ya Shalumi, mwana mobali ya Tsadoki, mwana mobali ya Ayitubi,
son of Shallum, son of Zadok, son of Ahitub;
3 mwana mobali ya Amaria, mwana mobali ya Azaria, mwana mobali ya Merayoti,
son of Amariah, son of Azariah, son of Meraioth;
4 mwana mobali ya Zerakia, mwana mobali ya Uzi, mwana ya Buki,
son of Zerahiah, son of Uzzi, son of Bukki;
5 mwana mobali ya Abishuwa, mwana mobali ya Pineasi, mwana mobali ya Eleazari, mwana mobali ya Aron, mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe,
son of Abishua, son of Phinehas, son of Eliazar, son of Aaron the first priest; —
6 alongwaki na Babiloni. Esidrasi yango azalaki molakisi malamu ya mibeko mpe ayebaki penza malamu Mobeko ya Moyize oyo Yawe, Nzambe ya Isalaele, apesaki na bato na Ye. Bongo lokola loboko ya Yawe, Nzambe na ye, ezalaki likolo na ye, mokonzi apesaki ye biloko nyonso oyo asengaki.
this Ezra, came up out of Babylon, he, being a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which Yahweh God of Israel had given, —and the king gave him, according to the hand of Yahweh his God upon him, all his request.
7 Kati na bana ya Isalaele, Banganga-Nzambe, Balevi, bayembi, bakengeli bikuke mpe basali ya Tempelo, ndambo bazongaki na Yelusalemi na mobu ya sambo ya mokonzi Aritakizerisesi.
So then there came up some of the sons of Israel, and some of the priests and the Levites and the singers and the doorkeepers and the Nethinim, unto Jerusalem, —in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
8 Esidrasi mpe akomaki elongo na bango na Yelusalemi na sanza ya mitano ya mobu ya sambo ya mokonzi.
And he entered Jerusalem, in the fifth month, —the same, was the seventh year of the king.
9 Alongwaki na Babiloni na mokolo ya liboso ya sanza ya liboso mpe akomaki na Yelusalemi na mokolo ya liboso ya sanza ya mitano, pamba te loboko ya ngolu ya Nzambe na ye ezalaki likolo na ye,
For, on the first of the first month, was a beginning made of coming up from Babylon, —and, on the first of the fifth month, entered he into Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
10 mpo ete Esidrasi amipesaki ye moko penza, na motema na ye mobimba, mpo na koyekola mpe kotia na misala mibeko ya Yawe mpe mpo na kolakisa na bana ya Isalaele bikateli mpe mitindo ya mibeko yango.
For, Ezra, had settled his heart, to study the law of Yahweh, and to do [it], —and to teach in Israel, statute and regulation.
11 Tala mokanda oyo mokonzi Aritakizerisesi apesaki epai ya Esidrasi, Nganga-Nzambe mpe molakisi ya Mobeko, oyo ayebaki penza malamu makambo oyo etali mitindo mpe bikateli ya Yawe mpo na Isalaele:
Now, this, is a copy of the letter which King Artaxerxes gave, to Ezra the priest the scribe, —the scribe of the words of the commandments of Yahweh, and of his statutes, for Israel: —
12 « Aritakizerisesi, mokonzi ya bakonzi; Epai ya Esidrasi, Nganga-Nzambe mpe molakisi ya Mobeko ya Nzambe ya Likolo: Mbote na yo!
Artaxerxes, king of kings, Unto Ezra the priest, scribe of the law of the God of the heavens—To despatch and so forth.
13 Napesi mitindo ete, kati na bokonzi na ngai, moto nyonso kati na bato ya Isalaele, kati na Banganga-Nzambe mpe Balevi na bango, oyo alingi kokende na Yelusalemi akende elongo na yo.
From me, is issued an edict, that, every one in my kingdom, of the people of Israel, and of their priests and the Levites, who is minded of his own freewill to go to Jerusalem, with thee, let him go.
14 Ngai, mokonzi elongo na bapesi toli na ngai sambo, totindi yo koluka koyeba makambo oyo ezali koleka na Yuda mpe na Yelusalemi, kolanda Mobeko ya Nzambe na yo, oyo ezali na maboko na yo,
Forasmuch as, from before the king and his seven counselors, thou art sent, to enquire concerning Judah and as to Jerusalem, —by the law of thy God which is in thy hand;
15 mpe komema palata mpe wolo oyo mokonzi mpe bapesi toli na ye bapesi bango moko wuta na mokano ya mitema na bango, epai ya Nzambe ya Isalaele, oyo Ndako na Ye ezali na Yelusalemi;
and to carry the silver and gold which the king and his counselors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, who, in Jerusalem, hath his habitation;
16 elongo na palata mpe wolo nyonso oyo okozwa na etuka ya Babiloni, makabo oyo bato mpe Banganga-Nzambe bakataki bango moko kopesa wuta na mokano ya mitema na bango, mpo na Tempelo ya Nzambe na bango kati na Yelusalemi.
and all the silver and the gold, which thou shalt find, in all the province of Babylon, —with the freewill offering of the people and of the priests offered willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem,
17 Boye, okosala keba ete osomba bangombe, bameme ya mibali mpe bana meme elongo na nyonso oyo esengeli mpo na makabo na yango ya gato mpe ya masanga, mpe okobonza yango na etumbelo ya Nzambe na bino kati na Yelusalemi.
therefore, with all diligence, shalt thou buy—with this silver—bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meal-offerings, and their drink-offerings, —and shalt offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem;
18 Na palata mpe wolo oyo etikali, yo mpe bandeko na yo, Bayuda, bokoki kosala nyonso oyo bokomona ete ezali malamu kolanda mokano ya Yawe, Nzambe na bino.
and, whatsoever, unto thee and unto thy brethren, shall seem good, with the rest of the silver and the gold, to do, according to the pleasure of your God, shall ye do.
19 Okopesa epai ya Nzambe ya Yelusalemi, biloko nyonso oyo bakopesa yo mpo na mosala ya Tempelo ya Nzambe na yo.
And, the utensils which are freely given to thee for the service of the house of thy God, put thou back, before the God of Jerusalem.
20 Na nzela ya bomengo ya mokonzi, okoki kozwa biloko nyonso mosusu oyo okozala na yango na bosenga mpo na misala ya Ndako ya Nzambe na yo.
And, the rest of the need of the house of thy God, which it shall fall to thee to give, thou shalt give, out of the treasure-house of the king.
21 Sik’oyo, ngai, mokonzi Aritakizerisesi, napesi mitindo epai ya babateli bomengo nyonso ya mokonzi kati na etuka ya ngambo ya weste ya ebale Efrate, ete bopesa na lombangu eloko nyonso oyo Esidrasi, Nganga-Nzambe mpe molakisi ya Mobeko ya Nzambe ya Likolo, akosenga bino
And, from me myself, Artaxerxes the king, issueth an edict, to all the treasurers who are Beyond the River, —that, whatsoever Ezra the priest the scribe of the law of the God of the heavens shall ask of you, with diligence, shall it be done:
22 kino na kilo ya palata nkoto misato na nkama mitano, kilo ya ble nkoto tuku minei na mitano, balitele ya vino nkoto minei na nkama mitano, balitele ya mafuta nkoto minei na nkama mitano mpe kilo ya mungwa oyo bakoki kotanga te.
unto a hundred talents of silver, and unto a hundred measures of wheat, and unto a hundred baths of wine, and unto a hundred baths of oil, —and salt without limit.
23 Tika ete makambo nyonso oyo Nzambe ya Likolo atindi mpo na Tempelo na Ye esalema ndenge kaka atindi yango, mpo ete kanda na Ye ekitela te mokili ya mokonzi mpe bana na ye ya mibali.
Whatsoever is due to an edict of the God of the heavens, let it be done diligently, for the house of the God of the heavens, —for wherefore should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
24 Bosengeli lisusu koyeba ete bozali lisusu na ndingisa te ya kosenga na Nganga-Nzambe nyonso, Molevi nyonso, moyembi nyonso, mokengeli nyonso ya ekuke, mosali nyonso ya Tempelo, mpe na mosali nyonso mosusu ya Ndako ya Nzambe ete afuta mpako ya mokonzi, mpako ya mabele mpe mpako ya nzela.
And, you, we do certify, that, as touching any of the priests or the Levites, the singers, the doorkeepers, the Nethinim, or the servitors of this house of God, tribute, excise or toll, shall it not be competent to impose upon them.
25 Bongo yo, Esidrasi, kolanda bwanya ya Nzambe na yo, oyo ozali na yango, pona bilombe mpe basambisi mpo na mosala ya kokata makambo ya bato nyonso oyo, kati na etuka ya ngambo ya weste ya ebale Efrate, bayebi mibeko ya Nzambe na yo; mpe lakisa yango na bato oyo bayebi yango te.
And, thou, Ezra, according to the wisdom of thy God that is in thy hand, appoint thou judges and magistrates, who shall administer justice to all the people that are Beyond the River, to all who know the law of thy God, —and, whoso knoweth not, ye shall teach.
26 Moto nyonso oyo akotosa te Mobeko ya Nzambe na yo mpe mobeko ya mokonzi asengeli bongo kozwa etumbu ya kufa to kokende na bowumbu to kokaba bomengo na ye mpo ete babotola yango to mpe kokota na boloko. »
But, whosoever shall not do the law of thy God and the law of the king, speedily, let, penalty, be exacted from him, —whether to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
27 Tika ete Yawe, Nzambe ya batata na biso, akumisama, Ye oyo atiaki makanisi ya lolenge oyo na motema ya mokonzi, mpo ete akoka kopesa lokumu na Tempelo ya Yawe kati na Yelusalemi,
Blessed be Yahweh, God of our fathers, —who hath put the like of this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of Yahweh, which is in Jerusalem;
28 mpe oyo asaleli ngai bolamu na Ye liboso ya mokonzi, ya bapesi toli na ye mpe ya bakalaka na ye nyonso, pamba te loboko ya Yawe, Nzambe na ngai, ezalaki likolo na ngai! Boye, nazwaki makasi mpe nasangisaki bakambi ya Isalaele mpo ete bazonga elongo na ngai.
and, unto me, hath extended lovingkindness, before the king and his counselors, yea all the valiant captains of the king, —I, therefore have emboldened myself, according to the hand of Yahweh my God upon me, and gathered out of Israel, chief men, to go up with me.
