Deteronomi 19

1 Tango Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akobebisa bikolo oyo Ye akopesa bino mokili na bango, tango bokobengana bango mpe bokovanda na bamboka mpe na bandako na bango;

When Jehovah thy God hath cut off the nations whose land Jehovah thy God giveth thee, and thou hast dispossessed them, and dwellest in their cities and in their houses,

2 bokotia pembeni mpo na bino, bingumba misato oyo ezali na kati-kati ya mokili oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akopesa bino mpo na kozwa.

thou shalt separate three cities for thyself in the midst of thy land, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee to possess.

3 Bokosala kuna banzela mpe bokokabola na biteni misato, mokili oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akopesa bino lokola libula mpo ete moto nyonso oyo akoboma moto akoka kokima kuna.

Thou shalt prepare thee the way, and divide the territory of thy land, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, so that every slayer may flee thither.

4 Tala makambo oyo ekoki kosala ete moto oyo abomi moninga na ye akoka kokima kuna mpo na kobikisa bomoi na ye: ezali tango abomi moninga na ye na nko te, moto oyo ayinaki te liboso.

And this is the case of the slayer who shall flee thither that he may live: he that smiteth his neighbour unwittingly, whom he hated not previously;

5 Ndakisa: moto oyo akei na zamba elongo na moninga na ye mpo na kokata banzete; bongo na tango atomboli loboko na ye mpo na kokata nzete, ebende ya epasola elongwe na esimbelo na yango, ekweyeli moninga wana mpe ebomi ye: moto wana akoki kokima kati na moko ya bingumba wana mpo na kobikisa bomoi na ye.

as when he goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the iron slippeth from the handle, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; such an one shall flee unto one of these cities, and live;

6 Soki bongo te, mobukanisi makila akolanda ye na kanda, akokanga ye mpe akoboma ye soki engumba ya kokimela ezali mosika mingi. Nzokande asengelaki kokufa te, pamba te ayinaki te liboso moto oyo asilaki koboma.

lest the avenger of blood pursue the manslayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and smite him mortally; whereas he was not worthy of death, since he hated him not previously.

7 Yango wana, napesi bino mitindo ete botia pembeni bingumba misato mpo na bino.

Therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thyself.

8 Soki Yawe, Nzambe na bino, ayeisi monene mokili na bino ndenge alakaki epai na bakoko na bino na nzela ya ndayi mpe apesi bino mokili mobimba ndenge alakaki bango,

And if Jehovah thy God enlarge thy border, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers

9 mpo ete bosili kotosa mibeko nyonso oyo napesi bino lelo, mibeko ya kolinga Yawe, Nzambe na bino, mpe ya kotambola na banzela na Ye, wana bokobakisa lisusu bingumba misato na bingumba misato ya liboso.

(if thou keep all this commandment to do it, which I command thee this day, to love Jehovah thy God, and to walk in his ways continually), then shalt thou add three cities more for thyself to these three,

10 Bosala bongo mpo ete makila ya moto oyo ayebi likambo te esopana te kati na mokili na bino oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akopesa bino lokola libula, soki te bokomema ngambo ya makila.

that innocent blood be not shed in the midst of thy land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and blood come not upon thee.

11 Kasi soki moto ayini moninga na ye mpe atieli ye motambo, abundisi ye mpe abomi ye na nko, bongo akimi kati na moko ya bingumba wana,

But if a man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and he flee into one of these cities,

12 bampaka ya engumba na ye bakolukisa ye, bakozongisa ye na engumba na ye mpe bakotika ye na maboko ya mobukanisi makila mpo ete aboma ye.

then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

13 Boyokela ye mawa te. Na nzela wana nde bokolongola kati na Isalaele mabe ya kosopa makila ya moto oyo ayebi likambo te, mpo ete bozala malamu.

Thine eye shall not spare him; and thou shalt put away innocent blood from Israel, that it may be well with thee.

14 Okoki te kopusa mondelo ya moninga na yo, mondelo oyo bato oyo bayaki liboso na yo na mabele na yo bakataki kati na mokili oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akopesa bino mpo ete bokamata yango.

Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have fixed in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee to possess.

15 Litatoli ya moto moko ekoki te mpo na kotalisa ete moto songolo abomaki moto to asalaki mabe. Bosolo ya likambo nyonso endimamaka na litatoli ya bato mibale to misato.

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, and for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.

16 Soki motatoli ya lokuta atelemi mpo na kofunda moto mosusu ete moto wana abomi moto;

If an unrighteous witness rise up against any man to testify against him of an offence;

17 bato nyonso mibale oyo bazali kowelana bakotelema na miso ya Yawe liboso ya Banganga-Nzambe mpe basambisi oyo bazali kosala mosala kati na bino na tango wana.

then both the men between whom the controversy is shall stand before Jehovah, before the priests and the judges that shall be in those days;

18 Basambisi basengeli koyekola likambo yango malamu penza. Mpe soki emonani ete motatoli akosi, apesi litatoli ya lokuta mpo na ndeko na ye;

and the judges shall make thorough inquiry; and if the witness be a false witness, and he have testified falsely against his brother,

19 bosala ye ndenge akanaki kosala ndeko na ye. Na nzela wana nde bokolongola mabe kati na bino.

then shall ye do unto him as he had thought to have done unto his brother; and thou shalt put evil away from thy midst.

20 Tango bato oyo batikali bakoyoka yango, bakobanga mpe mabe ya lolenge oyo ekotikala lisusu kosalema te kati na bino.

And those that remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil in thy midst.

21 Boyokela moto ya ndenge wana mawa te! Mobeko ezali: bomoi mpo na bomoi, liso mpo na liso, linu mpo na linu, loboko mpo na loboko, lokolo mpo na lokolo.

And thine eye shall not spare: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
