< Deteronomi 17 >
1 Okobonza te epai na Yawe, Nzambe na yo, ngombe to meme oyo ezali na mbeba to oyo ezali mabe, pamba te yango ezali likambo ya nkele liboso ya Yawe, Nzambe na yo.
You must not sacrifice to Yahweh your God an ox or a sheep in which is any blemish or anything bad, for that would be an abomination to Yahweh your God.
2 Soki kati na moko ya bingumba oyo Yawe, Nzambe na yo, apesi yo; emonani na mobali to mwasi oyo asali mabe na miso ya Yawe, Nzambe na yo, wana abuki boyokani elongo na Ye
If there is found among you, within any of your city gates that Yahweh your God is giving you, any man or woman who does what is evil in the sight of Yahweh your God and transgresses his covenant,
3 mpe akei kosalela banzambe mosusu mpe kofukamela yango: moyi, sanza to minzoto nyonso ya likolo, nzokande natindaki bango bongo te;
anyone who has gone and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, either the sun, the moon, or any of the host of heaven—nothing that I have commanded—
4 bongo bamemeli yo sango ya ndenge wana, yekola yango malamu. Soki emonani solo ete likambo ya nkele esalemi kati na Isalaele;
and if you are told about this, or if you have heard of it, then you must make a careful investigation. If it is true and certain that such an abomination has been done in Israel, this is what you should do.
5 kamata mobali to mwasi oyo asali likambo wana ya nkele, mema ye na ekuke ya engumba na yo mpe bamba ye mabanga kino akokufa.
You must bring that man or woman, who has done this evil thing, to your city gates, that very man or woman, and you must stone that person to death.
6 Ezali kaka na litatoli ya bato mibale to misato nde okoki koboma moto, kasi na litatoli ya moto moko te.
At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, will he who must die be put to death; but at the mouth of only one witness he must not be put to death.
7 Maboko ya motatoli nde ekozala maboko ya liboso ya koboma moto yango, mpe na sima, maboko ya bato nyonso. Na nzela wana nde okolongola mabe kati na yo.
The hand of the witnesses must be the first to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people; and you will remove the evil from among you.
8 Soki makambo oyo eleki yo makasi mpo na kosambisa ekomi na bisambiselo na yo, makambo lokola koboma bato, kowelana, kozokisa bato, mema yango na esika oyo Yawe, Nzambe na bino, akopona.
If a matter arises that is too hard for you to judge—perhaps a question of murder or accidental death, of one person's right and another person's right, or a question of one kind of harm done, or another kind of matter, matters of controversy within your city gates—then you must go up to the place that Yahweh your God will choose as his sanctuary.
9 Okokende epai ya Banganga-Nzambe oyo bazali Balevi mpe epai ya mosambisi oyo azali kosala mosala na tango wana. Okotalisa bango likambo yango mpe bango nde bakokata likambo.
You must go to the priests, the descendants of Levi, and to the judge who will be serving at that time; you will seek their advice, and they will give you the verdict.
10 Bongo yo okosala kolanda mikano oyo bango bakopesa yo na esika oyo Yawe akopona. Sala keba ete osala makambo nyonso oyo bakotinda yo.
You must follow the law given to you at the place Yahweh will choose as his sanctuary. You will be careful to do everything that they direct you to do.
11 Okosala kolanda mobeko oyo bakoteya yo mpe bikateli oyo bakopesa yo. Kokende libanda te ya bikateli oyo bakopesa yo.
Follow the law they teach you, and do according to the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right hand or to the left.
12 Moto oyo akosala lolendo mpe akoboya kotosa Nganga-Nzambe to mosambisi oyo atelemi mpo kosala mosala na esika oyo Yawe aponaki mpo na ye, basengeli koboma ye. Na nzela wana nde okolongola mabe kati na Isalaele.
Anyone who acts arrogantly, in not listening to the priest who is standing to serve before Yahweh your God, or in not listening to the judge—that man will die; you will put away the evil from Israel.
13 Bato nyonso bakoyoka likambo yango, bakokoma na somo mpe bakosala lisusu lolendo te.
All the people must hear and fear, and act arrogantly no more.
14 Tango okokota na mokili oyo Yawe, Nzambe na yo, akopesa yo; tango okozwa yango mpe okovanda kati na yango, tango mosusu okoki koloba: « Tika ete toluka mokonzi oyo akokonza biso ndenge ezali na bikolo nyonso oyo ezingeli biso, »
When you have come to the land that Yahweh your God gives you, and when you take possession of it and begin to live in it, and then you say, 'I will set a king over myself, like all the nations that are round about me,'
15 sala keba ete opona kaka mokonzi oyo Yawe, Nzambe na yo, akopona. Asengeli kowuta kati na bandeko na bino. Kotia mopaya te oyo azali ndeko na bino te kati na Isalaele mpo na kokonza bino.
then you must surely set as king over yourself someone whom Yahweh your God will choose. You must set as king over yourself someone from among your brothers. You may not put a foreigner, who is not your brother, over yourself.
16 Nzokande mokonzi yango asengeli te kozala na bampunda ebele mpo na ye moko mpe kozongisa bato na Ejipito mpo na kobakisa motango ya bampunda, pamba te Yawe alobaki na bino: « Botikala kozonga lisusu te na nzela oyo. »
But he must not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt so that he may multiply horses, for Yahweh had said to you, 'You will never return that way again.'
17 Asengeli te kozala na basi ebele noki te motema na ye ekopengwa. Asengeli te kozala na palata mpe wolo ebele koleka.
He must not take many wives for himself, so that his heart does not turn away. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.
18 Tango mokonzi yango akovanda na kiti na ye ya bokonzi, akozwa buku ya Mobeko epai ya Banganga-Nzambe oyo bazali Balevi mpe akokoma makambo oyo ezali na buku yango mpo na ye moko.
When he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he must write for himself in a scroll a copy of this law, from the law that is before the priests, who are Levites.
19 Akozala na buku yango tango nyonso mpe akotanga yango mikolo nyonso ya bomoi na ye mpo ete ayekola kokumisa Yawe, Nzambe na ye, mpe asalela malamu maloba nyonso ya Mobeko oyo mpe bikateli na yango;
The scroll must be with him, and he must read in it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to honor Yahweh his God, so as to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to observe them.
20 mpo ete atombola te na lolendo liboso ya bandeko na ye to abima te libanda ya mibeko na yango. Boye, ye elongo na bakitani na ye bakowumela tango molayi na bokonzi kati na Isalaele.
He must do this so that his heart is not lifted up above his brothers, and so that he does not turn away from the commandments, to the right hand or to the left; for the purpose that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, among Israel.
