1 Wana tososolaki ete tosili kobika na likama, toyokaki ete babengaka esanga yango Malite.
And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
2 Bavandi ya esanga yango batalisaki biso bolingo monene mpe basungaki biso mingi. Lokola mvula ezalaki konoka mpe malili ezalaki makasi, bapelisaki moto mpe babengaki biso nyonso ete tokende koyetola.
And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
3 Polo alokotaki liboke ya bakoni; mpe tango abwakaki yango na moto, molunge ya moto ebimisaki etupa mpe ekangamaki na loboko na ye.
And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 Tango bavandi ya esanga bamonaki nyoka ezali kodiembela na loboko ya Polo, balobanaki bango na bango: — Solo, moto oyo azali penza mobomi! Awuti kobika na likama ya ebale, kasi bosembo ya Nzambe elandi ye kaka mpo na koboma ye!
And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5 Kasi Polo aningisaki loboko, mpe nyoka yango ekweyaki na moto, mpe ayokaki ata pasi te.
And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
6 Bato nyonso bazalaki kozela ete nzoto na ye evimba to akufa mbala moko; kasi wana bazelaki tango molayi mpe bamonaki ata likambo moko te ya mabe kokomela ye, babongolaki makanisi mpe balobaki: — Moto oyo azali nzambe.
Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
7 Zingazinga ya esika oyo tozalaki, ezalaki na mabele ya Pibiliusi, kalaka mokonzi ya esanga. Ayambaki biso malamu epai na ye, mpe tolekisaki kuna mikolo misato.
In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.

And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
9 Sima na yango, babeli mosusu ya esanga bayaki epai na ye mpe babikisamaki.
So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.
11 Sima na basanza misato, tozwaki masuwa oyo elekisaki tango na yango ya malili makasi kati na esanga. Ezalaki masuwa ya engumba Alekizandri, oyo batia bilembo ya Kasitori mpe Polikisi.
And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.
12 Tosemaki na engumba Sirakize, mpe tolekisaki kuna mikolo misato.
And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.
13 Kolongwa wana, tonanaki pembeni-pembeni ya mokili mpe tokomaki na engumba Regio. Mokolo oyo elandaki, mopepe ya sude ekomaki kopepa mpe, sima na mikolo mibale, tokomaki na Puzoli.
And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:
14 Kati na engumba yango, tokutaki bandeko oyo basengaki biso ete tovanda elongo na bango poso mobimba. Ezali ndenge wana nde tokendeki na Rome.
Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.
15 Tango bandeko ya Rome bayokaki ete tokomi, bayaki kino na zando ya Apiusi mpe na esika oyo babengaka « Bandako misato, » mpo na kokutana na biso. Tango Polo amonaki bango, azongisaki matondi epai ya Nzambe mpe azwaki lisusu molende.
And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.
16 Tango tokomaki na Rome, bapesaki Polo nzela ya kovanda ye moko na ndako; batielaki ye soda moko mpo na kokengela ye.
And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.
17 Sima na mikolo misato, Polo abengisaki bakambi ya Bayuda mpo ete bakutana na ye. Tango basanganaki, alobaki na bango: — Bandeko na ngai, ata nasalaki bato ya ekolo na biso ata mabe moko te, mpe nabukaki ata mobeko moko te ya bakoko na biso, bakangaki ngai na Yelusalemi mpe bakabaki ngai na maboko ya bato ya Rome.
And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Cæsar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.
20 Yango wana nasengaki komona bino mpe kosolola na bino, pamba te ezali mpo na elikya ya Isalaele nde nakangami na minyololo oyo.
For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
21 Bayuda bazongiselaki ye: — Biso awa, tozwaki ata mokanda moko te kowuta na Yuda na tina na yo; mpe kati na bandeko oyo bayaki awa, moto ata moko te apesaki biso sango to ayebisaki biso likambo ya mabe na tina na yo.
And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judæa concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
22 Kasi tozali na posa ete yo moko oyebisa biso makanisi na yo, pamba te toyebi malamu ete lingomba na yo ezali kobundisama bisika nyonso.
But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
23 Bayokanaki kokutana na Polo mokolo mosusu. Bongo tango mokolo yango ekokaki, bayaki ebele na esika oyo Polo azalaki kovanda. Wuta na tongo kino na pokwa, Polo azalaki kolimbolela bango mpe koteya bango makambo oyo etali Bokonzi ya Nzambe, mpe azalaki kosala nyonso mpo ete bandima makambo oyo azalaki koloba na tina na Yesu, na nzela ya Mobeko ya Moyize mpe makomi ya basakoli.
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
24 Bamoko bandimisamaki na nzela ya makambo oyo azalaki koloba, kasi bamosusu baboyaki kondima.
And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
25 Tango bakomaki pene ya kozonga, bango na bango batikalaki kaka koyokana te; bongo Polo abakisaki liloba oyo: — Molimo Mosantu alobaki na bakoko na bino makambo ya solo tango alobaki na nzela ya mosakoli Ezayi:
And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,
26 « Kende koloba na bato oyo: Matoyi na bino ekoyoka na pamba, bokososola te; miso na bino ekotala na pamba, bokomona te.
Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 Pamba te mitema ya bato oyo ekomi mabanga; bakangi penza matoyi mpe miso na bango, noki te miso na bango emona, matoyi na bango eyoka, mitema na bango esosola, babongola mitema, mpe nabikisa bango. »
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28 Yango wana, nalingi boyeba ete Nzambe atindi lobiko na Ye epai ya bato ya bikolo ya bapaya, mpe bakoyoka. [
Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
29 Tango Polo asilisaki koloba, Bayuda bakendeki, mpe bazalaki kotiana tembe makasi kati na bango.]
And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
30 Polo awumelaki mibu mibale mobimba kati na ndako ya kofutela. Azalaki koyamba bato nyonso oyo bazalaki koya kotala ye;
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
31 azalaki kosakola sango ya Bokonzi ya Nzambe mpe koteya na tina na Nkolo Yesu-Klisto, na molende nyonso mpe na kozanga bipekiseli.
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
