< Misala ya Bantoma 25 >
1 Mikolo misato sima na ye koya kati na etuka, Festisi alongwaki na Sezarea mpo na kokende na Yelusalemi
Now when Festus had come into the province, after three days he went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
Babondelaki mingi Festisi
Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,
And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.
But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly there.
5 Tika ete tokende nzela moko na ndambo ya bakambi na bino, mpo ete, soki moto yango asalaki mabe, bafundela ye kuna.
Let them therefore, said he, who among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there is any wickedness in him.
6 Festisi asalaki mikolo pene mwambe to zomi elongo na bango, mpe azongaki na Sezarea. Mokolo oyo elandaki bozongi na ye, avandaki na esambiselo mpe apesaki mitindo ete bamemela ye Polo.
And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down to Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.
And when he had come, the Jews who came down from Jerusalem stood around, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
8 Polo asambaki boye: — Nasalaki mabe moko te, nabukaki ata mobeko moko te ya Bayuda to ya Tempelo to mpe ya Sezare.
While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I committed any offence.
9 Kasi lokola Festisi alingaki kosepelisa Bayuda, atunaki Polo: — Boni, olingi kozonga na Yelusalemi mpe kosamba kuna liboso na ngai mpo na makambo oyo?
But Festus, willing to do the Jews a favour, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go to Jerusalem, and there be judged concerning these things before me?
10 Polo azongisaki: — Te, natelemi liboso ya esambiselo ya Sezare; ezali awa nde nasengeli kosamba. Yo moko oyebi malamu ete nasali Bayuda ata likambo moko te ya mabe.
Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.
11 Soki nasali mabe to nasali likambo oyo ekoki komemela ngai etumbu ya kufa, nandimi kokufa.
For if I am an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there is none of these things of which these accuse me, no man may deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar.
Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed to Caesar? to Caesar thou shalt go.
13 Sima na mwa mikolo, mokonzi Agripa elongo na Berenise bayaki na Sezarea mpo na kopesa Festisi mbote.
And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea to greet Festus.
14 Lokola balekisaki kuna mikolo mingi, Festisi ayebisaki mokonzi likambo ya Polo; alobaki: — Ezali awa na moto moko oyo Felikisi atikaki kati na boloko.
And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul’s cause to the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:
About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.
To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before he who is accused hath the accusers face to face, and hath opportunity to answer for himself concerning the charge laid against him.
17 Tango bayaki awa, nalekisaki tango te; kasi mokolo oyo elandaki, navandaki na esambiselo mpe napesaki mitindo ete bamemela ngai moto yango.
Therefore, when they had come here, without any delay on the next day I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.
18 Tango bato oyo bafundaki ye batelemaki mpo na koloba, balongaki te kotalisa bosolo ya makambo mabe oyo bafundelaki ye, ndenge ngai nazalaki kokanisela.
Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought no accusation of such things as I supposed:
But had certain questions against him of their own religion, and of one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
20 Lokola nayebaki te ndenge nini nakoki kokata likambo ya lolenge oyo, natunaki ye soki alingi kokende na Yelusalemi mpo ete bakata likambo na ye kuna.
And because I was perplexed concerning such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged concerning these matters.
21 Kasi Polo asengaki ete akende kosamba liboso ya mokonzi monene. Boye, napesaki mitindo ete babatela ye kati na boloko kino tango nakotinda ye epai ya Sezare.
But when Paul had appealed to be reserved to the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.
Festisi azongisaki: — Okoyoka ye lobi.
Then Agrippa said to Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.
And on the next day, when Agrippa had come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and had entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at the command of Festus Paul was brought forth.
And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men who are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
25 Nzokande, mpo na ngai, namonaki likambo moko te oyo ekokaki komemela ye etumbu ya kufa. Kasi lokola ye moko asengi ete akende kosamba liboso ya mokonzi monene, ngai mpe nazwi mokano ya kotinda ye na Rome.
But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
Of whom I have no certain thing to write to my lord. Therefore I have brought him forth before you, and especially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I may have somewhat to write.
For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not also to signify the charges laid against him.
