1 Na tango yango, mokonzi Erode akangaki ndambo ya bandimi ya Lingomba mpo na konyokola bango.
And about that time, Herod the king put forth his hands, to do evil to certain of those of the assembly,
2 Abomaki kutu Jake, ndeko mobali ya Yoane, na mopanga.
and he killed James, the brother of John, with the sword,
3 Tango amonaki ete likambo yango ezalaki kosepelisa Bayuda, akangaki mpe Petelo na tango ya feti ya mapa ezanga levire.
and having seen that it is pleasing to the Jews, he added to lay hold of Peter also — and they were the days of the unleavened food —
4 Sima na ye kokanga Petelo, atiaki ye kati na boloko mpe aponaki masanga minei ya basoda mpo ete bakengela ye; lisanga moko na moko ezalaki na basoda minei. Erode azalaki na makanisi ya kosambisa ye na miso ya bato sima na feti ya Pasika.
whom also having seized, he did put in prison, having delivered [him] to four quaternions of soldiers to guard him, intending after the passover to bring him forth to the people.
5 Petelo azalaki kati na boloko, kasi Lingomba ezalaki kobondela Nzambe na molende mpo na ye.
Peter, therefore, indeed, was kept in the prison, and fervent prayer was being made by the assembly unto God for him,
6 Na butu ya mokolo oyo Erode alingaki kosambisa ye, Petelo alalaki pongi na kati-kati ya basoda mibale, akangama na minyololo mibale, mpe bakengeli bazalaki kobatela ekuke ya boloko.
and when Herod was about to bring him forth, the same night was Peter sleeping between two soldiers, having been bound with two chains, guards also before the door were keeping the prison,
7 Mbala moko, anjelu ya Nkolo abimaki na pwasa, mpe pole engengaki kati na boloko. Anjelu aningisaki Petelo na mopanzi mpo na kolamusa ye; alobaki na ye: — Telema noki! Mpe minyololo ekweyaki longwa na maboko ya Petelo.
and lo, a messenger of the Lord stood by, and a light shone in the buildings, and having smitten Peter on the side, he raised him up, saying, 'Rise in haste,' and his chains fell from off [his] hands.
8 Anjelu alobaki na ye: — Lata elamba na yo, mokaba na yo mpe basandale na yo! Petelo asalaki bongo. Anjelu alobaki na ye lisusu: — Lata nzambala na yo mpe landa ngai.
The messenger also said to him, 'Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals;' and he did so; and he saith to him, 'Put thy garment round and be following me;'
9 Petelo alandaki anjelu kino na libanda ya boloko, kasi ayebaki te ete makambo oyo anjelu azali kosala ezali penza ya solo: akanisaki ete azwi emoniseli.
and having gone forth, he was following him, and he knew not that it is true that which is done through the messenger, and was thinking he saw a vision,
10 Balekaki bakengeli ya liboso mpe ya mibale, mpe bakomaki na ekuke ya bibende oyo epesaka nzela ya kokota na engumba. Ekuke efungwamaki yango moko liboso na bango; bongo babimaki mpe batambolaki na balabala moko. Mpe mbala moko, anjelu atikaki Petelo.
and having passed through a first ward, and a second, they came unto the iron gate that is leading to the city, which of its own accord did open to them, and having gone forth, they went on through one street, and immediately the messenger departed from him.
11 Tango mayele na ye ya bomoto ezongaki, Petelo amilobelaki: — Ah, nasosoli sik’oyo, ezali penza ya solo! Nkolo atindaki anjelu na Ye mpe akangoli ngai na maboko ya Erode mpe na makambo nyonso oyo Bayuda balingaki kosala ngai.
And Peter having come to himself, said, 'Now I have known of a truth that the Lord did sent forth His messenger, and did deliver me out of the hand of Herod, and all the expectation of the people of the Jews;'
12 Tango amonaki bongo, akendeki na ndako ya Mari, mama ya Yoane oyo kombo na ye mosusu ezali « Malako. » Bandimi ebele basanganaki kuna mpe bazalaki kosambela.
also, having considered, he came unto the house of Mary, the mother of John, who is surnamed Mark, where there were many thronged together and praying.
13 Petelo abetaki ekuke; mpe mwasi mosali moko, kombo na ye « Rode, » apusanaki na ekuke mpo na koyanola.
And Peter having knocked at the door of the porch, there came a damsel to hearken, by name Rhoda,
14 Tango asosolaki ete ezali mongongo ya Petelo, atondaki na esengo; na esika ya kofungola ekuke, azongaki mbangu mpe agangaki: — Eh, ezali Petelo! Azali wana, na libanda, liboso ya ekuke!
and having known the voice of Peter, from the joy she did not open the porch, but having run in, told of the standing of Peter before the porch,
15 Balobaki na ye: — Okomi penza na liboma! Kasi Rode azalaki kaka koloba: — Ya solo penza! Petelo azali na libanda. Bongo balobaki: — Ekoki kozala anjelu na ye!
and they said unto her, 'Thou art mad;' and she was confidently affirming [it] to be so, and they said, 'It is his messenger;'
16 Nzokande, Petelo azalaki kokoba kobeta ekuke. Boye, tango bafungolaki ekuke mpe bamonaki ye, bakamwaki makasi.
and Peter was continuing knocking, and having opened, they saw him, and were astonished,
17 Petelo apepelaki bango loboko mpo ete bavanda kimia, mpe ayebisaki bango ndenge nini Nkolo abimisaki ye na boloko. Alobaki lisusu: — Boyebisa makambo oyo epai ya Jake mpe bandeko mosusu. Sima na yango, abimaki mpe akendeki na esika mosusu.
and having beckoned to them with the hand to be silent, he declared to them how the Lord brought him out of the prison, and he said, 'Declare to James and to the brethren these things;' and having gone forth, he went on to another place.
18 Na tongo, mobulu monene ebimaki kati na basoda, pamba te bazalaki kotunana: — Likambo nini ekomelaki Petelo?
And day having come, there was not a little stir among the soldiers what then was become of Peter,
19 Erode atindaki bato koluka Petelo, kasi bamonaki ye te. Bongo, sima na ye kosambisa bakengeli, apesaki mitindo ete baboma bango. Sima na yango, Erode atikaki Yuda mpe akendeki kovanda mwa mikolo na Sezarea.
and Herod having sought for him, and not having found, having examined the guards, did command [them] to be led away to punishment, and having gone down from Judea to Caesarea, he was abiding [there].
20 Nzokande, Erode asilikelaki makasi bato ya Tiri mpe ya Sidoni. Bongo, bato ya Tiri mpe ya Sidoni bayokanaki mpe basengaki kokutana na Erode. Sima na bango kozwa lisungi ya Blasitisi, motambolisi misala ya shambre ya mokonzi, basengaki kimia kati na Erode mpe bango, pamba te bilei na bango ezalaki kowuta na mokili ya mokonzi Erode.
And Herod was highly displeased with the Tyrians and Sidonians, and with one accord they came unto him, and having made a friend of Blastus, who [is] over the bed-chambers of the king, they were asking peace, because of their country being nourished from the king's;
21 Tango mokolo oyo akataki ekokaki, Erode alataki bilamba na ye ya bokonzi, avandaki na kiti na ye ya bokonzi mpe alobaki na bato.
and on a set day, Herod having arrayed himself in kingly apparel, and having sat down upon the tribunal, was making an oration unto them,
22 Bato bagangaki: — Tala yango oyo, mongongo ya nzambe; ezali mongongo ya moto te!
and the populace were shouting, 'The voice of a god, and not of a man;'
23 Mbala moko, anjelu ya Nkolo abetaki Erode mpo ete apesaki Nzambe lokumu te; boye bankusu eliaki ye, mpe akufaki.
and presently there smote him a messenger of the Lord, because he did not give the glory to God, and having been eaten of worms, he expired.
24 Kasi Liloba na Nzambe ekobaki kopanzana mpe kobota mbuma.
And the word of God did grow and did multiply,
25 Sima na Barnabasi mpe Saulo kokokisa mosala na bango mpo na bolamu ya bandimi ya Yelusalemi, batikaki Yelusalemi mpe bamemaki, elongo na bango, Yoane oyo kombo na ye mosusu ezali « Malako. »
and Barnabas and Saul did turn back out of Jerusalem, having fulfilled the ministration, having taken also with [them] John, who was surnamed Mark.
