Now the Apostles and brethren who were in Jerusalem, heard, that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
2 Boye, tango Petelo azongaki na Yelusalemi, Bayuda oyo bandimelaki Yesu bapamelaki ye
And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they who were of the circumcision contended with him,
saying, You did go in to men who were uncircumcised, and did eat with them.
4 Petelo ayebisaki bango makambo nyonso, ndenge esalemaki; alobaki na bango:
And Peter beginning, opened to them the matter in order, saying,
5 — Wana nazalaki kati na engumba Jafa mpe nazalaki kosambela, nakweyaki na Molimo mpe nazwaki emoniseli. Namonaki eloko moko lokola elamba monene basimba na basonge na yango minei kokita wuta na Likolo, mpe ekomaki kino na esika oyo nazalaki.
I was praying in the city of Joppa; and, in a trance, I saw a vision, something like a great sheet descending from heaven, let down by the four corners, and it came close to me:
6 Tango natalaki yango malamu, namonaki kati na yango banyama ya mabele, oyo ezali na makolo minei; banyama ya zamba, banyama oyo etambolaka na libumu mpe bandeke ya likolo.
and looking attentively upon it, I observed, and saw four-footed creatures of the earth, and wild beasts, and reptiles, and fowls of the air:
7 Nayokaki mpe mongongo moko koloba na ngai: « Petelo, telema! Boma mpe lia. »
and I heard a voice saying to me, Arise, Peter, kill, and eat:
8 Kasi nazongisaki: « Te, Nkolo! Natikala nanu kolia te eloko ya mbindo to ya bosoto. »
but I said, By no means, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever entered into my mouth.
9 Mongongo yango elobaki lisusu, wuta na likolo, mpo na mbala ya mibale: « Eloko nyonso oyo Nzambe akomisi peto, yo, komona yango mbindo te! »
And the voice answered me the second time from heaven, Those things which God has cleansed, do not you call common.
10 Esalemaki bongo mbala misato. Bongo babendaki nyonso kati na Likolo.
And this was done three times. And all the things were drawn up again into heaven.
11 Kaka na tango yango, bato misato bakomaki na ndako epai wapi nazalaki kovanda; batindaki bango epai na ngai longwa na Sezarea.
And behold, at that instant, three men were come to the house in which I was, sent from Cesarea to me.
And the Spirit commanded me to go with them, without any scruple: and these six brethren also went along with me. And we entered into the man's house:
13 Moto yango ayebisaki biso ndenge nini amonaki anjelu kobimela ye kati na ndako na ye mpe koloba na ye: « Tinda bato, na Jafa, mpo bakende kobenga Simona oyo kombo na ye mosusu ezali Petelo.
and he told us how he had seen a messenger standing in his house, and saying to him, Send to Joppa, and bring hither Simon, whose surname is Peter;
14 Akoyebisa yo maloba oyo, na nzela na yango, okozwa lobiko, yo mpe libota na yo mobimba! »
who shall speak words to you, by which you and all your family shall be saved.
15 Wana nazalaki nanu koloba, Molimo Mosantu akitelaki bango ndenge kaka akitelaki biso na ebandeli.
And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as as on us at the beginning.
16 Mbala moko, nakanisaki lisusu maloba oyo Nkolo alobaki: « Yoane abatisaki na mayi; kasi bino, bokobatisama kati na Molimo Mosantu. »
And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John immersed in water; but you shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit.
17 Soki Nzambe apesaki bango likabo ya ndenge moko na biso oyo tondimelaki Nkolo Yesu-Klisto, bongo ngai nde nani mpo ete nakoka koboya makambo oyo Nzambe alingi?
Since, therefore, God gave to them the same gift as he did to us, who had believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, what was I, that I should be able to obstruct God?
18 Tango bayokaki bongo, bazangaki maloba ya kobakisa, mpe bakomaki kokumisa Nzambe na maloba oyo: « Nzambe asali ete ata bato ya bikolo ya bapaya babongola mitema mpo bazwa bomoi. »
And when they heard these things, they acquiesced, and glorified God; saying, God has, then, given to the Gentile also reformation to life.
19 Nzokande, bandimi oyo bapalanganaki mpo na kokima minyoko oyo eyaki tango babomaki Etieni, bakimaki kino na Fenisi, na Shipre mpe na Antioshe. Mpe kuna, bazalaki kosakola Sango Malamu epai ya moto mosusu te, kaka epai ya Bayuda.
Now, indeed, those who had been dispersed, on account of the distress which arose about Stephen, had traveled as far as Phenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to none but Jews only.
Yet some of the, being men of Cyprus, and Cyrene; when they came to Antioch, spoke to the Greeks, announcing the glad tidings concerning the Lord Jesus.
And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed, and turned to the Lord.
And the report concerning them came to the ears of the congregation that was at Jerusalem; and they sent Barnabas, to go as far as Antioch.
23 Tango akomaki kuna mpe amonaki ndenge nini Nzambe apambolaki bango, asepelaki makasi mpe alendisaki bango nyonso ete bakangama makasi na Nkolo, na mitema na bango mobimba.
Who, when he was come, and beheld the favor of God, rejoiced, and exhorted them all to adhere to the Lord, with full determination of heart;
24 Solo, Barnabasi azalaki moto malamu, azalaki atondisama na Molimo Mosantu mpe na kondima. Bato ebele bakangamaki na Nkolo.
for he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit, and of faith: and a considerable number were added to the Lord.
25 Bongo, Barnabasi akendeki na Tarse mpo na koluka Saulo;
Then Barnabas went to Tarsus, to seek Saul;
and finding him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass, that they assembled with the congregation, for a whole year, and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first named Christians at Antioch.
And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch.
And one of them, whose name was Agabus, stood up, and signified by the Spirit, that there should be a great famine over all the land: which came to pass in the days of Claudius.
And the disciples determined, that, according to the respective abilities of each, they should send to the assistance of the brethren who dwelt in Judea.
And this they did, sending it to the elders, by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
