< 2 Samuele 5 >

1 Bikolo nyonso ya Isalaele bayaki na Ebron epai ya Davidi mpe balobaki: « Biso na yo, tozali nzoto moko mpe makila moko.
Then came all the tribes of Israel unto David, in Hebron, —and spake, saying—Behold us! thy bone and thy flesh, we are.
2 Na kala, na mikolo oyo Saulo azalaki mokonzi, yo nde ozalaki kokamba mampinga ya Isalaele na bitumba. Nzokande, Yawe alobaki na yo: ‹ Yo nde okokamba bato na Ngai, Isalaele, mpe okokoma mokambi na bango. › »
Also, in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou, wast he that led out and brought in, Israel, —and Yahweh said to thee—Thou, shalt be shepherd unto my people, Israel, and, thou, shalt become leader over Israel.
3 Boye bampaka nyonso ya Isalaele bayaki na Ebron epai ya mokonzi. Mokonzi Davidi asalaki elongo na bango boyokani, na Ebron, liboso ya Yawe; mpe bapakolaki Davidi mafuta mpo ete akoma mokonzi ya Isalaele.
So all the elders of Israel came unto the king, in Hebron, and King David solemnised to them a covenant in Hebron, before Yahweh, —and they anointed David to be king over Israel.
4 Davidi azalaki na mibu tuku misato ya mbotama tango akomaki mokonzi, mpe akonzaki mibu tuku minei:
Thirty years old, was David when he began to reign, —forty years, he reigned:
5 mibu sambo na basanza motoba lokola mokonzi ya Yuda, na Ebron; mpe mibu tuku misato na misato lokola mokonzi ya Isalaele mobimba mpe Yuda, na Yelusalemi.
in Hebron, reigned he over Judah, seven years, and six months, —and, in Jerusalem, reigned he thirty and three years, over all Israel and Judah.
6 Mokonzi mpe bato na ye bakendeki na Yelusalemi mpo na kobundisa bato ya Yebusi oyo bazalaki kovanda kuna. Bavandi ya Yebusi balobaki na Davidi: « Okokota awa te, pamba te ezala mokufi miso to moto ya tengu-tengu akobengana yo. » Bakanisaki ete Davidi akoki kokota kuna te.
Then went the king and his men, to Jerusalem, against the Jebusites, inhabiting the land, —and they spake to David, saying—Thou canst not come in hither, unless thou take away the blind and lame—Thinking, David will not come in hither.
7 Atako bongo, Davidi abotolaki ndako makasi ya Siona, oyo ezali engumba ya Davidi.
So then David captured the citadel of Zion, —the same, is the city of David.
8 Na mokolo wana, Davidi alobaki: « Moto nyonso oyo alingi kobundisa bato ya Yebusi asengeli kozwa nzela ya se ya mabele mpo na kokanga bato ya tengu-tengu mpe bakufi miso oyo bazali banguna ya Davidi. » Yango wana balobaka: « Bakufi miso mpe bato ya tengu-tengu bakokota te na ndako ya mokonzi. »
And David said, on that day—Whosoever is smiting the Jebusites, then let him reach as far as the aqueduct. But, as for the lame and the blind, they were the hated of David’s soul, —for which cause, they kept on saying, Blind and lame! he will not enter the place.
9 Davidi avandaki na ndako yango oyo batonga makasi mpe abengaki yango « Engumba ya Davidi. » Mpe Davidi atongaki zingazinga na yango, longwa na Milo kino na kati.
So then David dwelt in the citadel, and called it, The City of David, —and David built round about, from Millo and inwards.
10 Nguya ya Davidi ezalaki komata se komata, mpe Yawe Nzambe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, azalaki elongo na ye.
And David went on and on waxing great, —Yahweh, God of hosts, being with him.
11 Irami, mokonzi ya Tiri, atindaki bantoma epai ya Davidi mpo ete bamemela ye mabaya ya sedele, basharipantie mpe bato oyo bapasolaka mabanga; mpe batongelaki Davidi ndako.
Then Hiram, king of Tyre, sent messengers unto David, with cedar-wood, and carpenters, and masons, and they built a house for David.
12 Davidi asosolaki ete Yawe azali kolendisa ye lokola mokonzi ya Isalaele mpe azali kotombola bokonzi na ye mpo na Isalaele, bato na Ye.
So David perceived that Yahweh had established him to be king over Israel, —and that he had exalted his kingdom, for the sake of his people Israel.
13 Tango Davidi alongwaki na Ebron mpe akendeki kovanda kati na Yelusalemi, azwaki lisusu bamakangu mpe basi mosusu ebele oyo babotelaki ye bana mosusu ya mibali mpe ya basi.
And David took him yet more concubines and wives, out of Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron, and there were, yet further, born unto David, sons and daughters.
14 Tala bakombo ya bana ya Davidi oyo babotamaki na Yelusalemi: Shamuwa, Shobabi, Natan, Salomo,
Now, these, are the names of the sons who were born unto him in Jerusalem, —Shammua and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon;
15 Yibari, Elishuwa, Nefegi, Yafia,
and Ibhar and Elishua and Nepheg and Yaphia;
16 Elishama, Eliyada mpe Elifeleti.
and Elishama and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
17 Tango bato ya Filisitia bayokaki ete bapakoli Davidi mafuta mpo ete akoma mokonzi ya Isalaele, bango nyonso bakendeki koluka ye. Kasi tango Davidi ayokaki sango ya mabongisi na bango, akendeki na ndako oyo batonga makasi.
And, when the Philistine heard that they had anointed David to be king over Israel, then came up all the Philistines to seek to secure David, and David heard of it, and went down into the citadel.
18 Bato ya Filisitia bakomaki mpe bapanzanaki na lubwaku ya Refayimi.
Now, the Philistines, had come, —and had spread themselves out in the vale of Rephaim.
19 Davidi atunaki Yawe: — Nakoki solo kokende kobundisa bato ya Filisitia? Okokaba bango solo na maboko na ngai? Yawe azongiselaki ye: — Kende, pamba te nakokaba bato ya Filisitia na maboko na yo.
So then David enquired of Yahweh, saying, —Shall I go up against the Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And Yahweh said unto David—Go up; for I, will surely deliver, the Philistines into thy hand.
20 Davidi akomaki na Bali-Peratsimi mpe alongaki kuna bato ya Filisitia. Alobaki: « Yawe afungoleli ngai nzela kati na banguna na ngai, ndenge mayi epasolaka nzela. » Yango wana babengaki esika yango Bala-Peratsimi.
And David entered Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and said—Yahweh hath broken forth upon mine enemies, before me, like a breaking forth of waters. For this cause, called he the name of that place, Baal-perazim.
21 Bato ya Filisitia basundolaki kuna banzambe na bango ya bikeko, mpe Davidi elongo na basoda na ye bamemaki yango.
And they left their images there, —and David and his men took them away.
22 Bato ya Filisitia bayaki lisusu mpe bapanzanaki kati na lubwaku ya Refayimi.
And, yet again, did the Philistines come up, —and they spread themselves out in the vale of Rephaim.
23 Bongo Davidi atunaki Yawe, mpe Yawe azongiselaki ye: « Kobundisa bango na liboso te, kasi baluka na sima na bango; bongo okobimela bango na liboso ya banzete ya mirie.
So David enquired of Yahweh, and he said—Thou shalt not go up, —Get round behind them, and come in upon them, over against the mulberry-trees.
24 Tango okoyoka lokito ya makolo ya bato na likolo ya banzete ya Mirie, na tango wana nde okobima noki, pamba te ekolakisa ete Yawe abimi liboso na yo mpo na kobeta mampinga ya bato ya Filisitia. »
And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, then, shalt thou act with decision, —for, then, will Yahweh have gone forth before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
25 Davidi asalaki ndenge Yawe atindaki ye mpe abomaki bato ya Filisitia, longwa na Geba kino na Gezeri.
And David did so, as Yahweh had commanded him, —and smote the Philistines, from Gibeon until thou enterest Gezer.
