1 Sima na kufa ya mokonzi Akabi, bato ya Moabi batombokelaki Isalaele.
AND MOAB rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
2 Mokonzi Akazia akweyaki na Samari wuta na lininisa ya shambre na ye ya likolo mpe azokaki pota moko ya makasi. Atindaki bantoma na ye mpe alobaki na bango: — Bokende kotuna epai ya Bala-Zebubi, nzambe ya Ekroni, mpo na koyeba soki nakobika solo na likama oyo.
And Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick; and he sent messengers, and said unto them: 'Go, inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this sickness.'
3 Kasi anjelu ya Yawe alobaki na Eliya, moto ya mboka Tishibe: — Kende kokutana na bantoma ya mokonzi ya Samari mpe tuna bango: « Boni, Nzambe azali te kati na Isalaele mpo ete bokende kotuna epai ya Bala-Zebubi, nzambe ya Ekroni?
But an angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite: 'Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them: Is it because there is no God in Israel, that ye go to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron?
4 Mpo na yango, tala makambo oyo Yawe alobi: ‹ Okokita te na mbeto oyo olali, pamba te, solo, okokufa. › » Boye Eliya akendeki.
Now therefore thus saith the LORD: Thou shalt not come down from the bed whither thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.' And Elijah departed.

And the messengers returned unto him, and he said unto them: 'Why is it that ye are returned?'
6 Bazongisaki: — Moto moko ayaki kokutana na biso mpe alobaki na biso: « Bozonga epai ya mokonzi oyo atindi bino mpe boloba na ye: Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi: ‹ Boni, Nzambe azali lisusu te kati na Isalaele; yango wana ozali kotinda bato kokende kotuna epai ya Bala-Zebubi, nzambe ya Ekroni? › Mpo na yango, okokita te na mbeto oyo olali; okokufa solo. »
And they said unto him: 'There came up a man to meet us, and said unto us: Go, return unto the king that sent you, and say unto him: Thus saith the LORD: Is it because there is no God in Israel, that thou sendest to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from the bed whither thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.'
7 Mokonzi atunaki bango: — Moto oyo ayaki kokutana na bino mpe ayebisaki bino makambo oyo azalaki ndenge nini?
And he said unto them: 'What manner of man was he that came up to meet you, and told you these words?'
8 Bazongisaki: — Azalaki mobali moko alata bilamba ya poso ya nyama na loketo na ye. Mokonzi alobaki: — Ezalaki kaka Eliya, moto ya Tishibe.
And they answered him: 'He was a hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins.' And he said: 'It is Elijah the Tishbite.'
9 Mbala moko, mokonzi atindaki mokonzi ya basoda tuku mitano epai ya Eliya elongo na basoda na ye tuku mitano. Mokonzi ya basoda tuku mitano akendeki epai ya Eliya oyo azalaki kovanda na songe ya ngomba mpe alobaki na ye: — Moto na Nzambe, mokonzi apesi mitindo ete okende epai na ye.
Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him; and, behold, he sat on the top of the hill. And he spoke unto him: 'O man of God, the king hath said: Come down.'
10 Kasi Eliya azongiselaki mokonzi yango ya basoda: — Soki solo nazali moto na Nzambe, tika ete moto ekita wuta na likolo mpe ezikisa yo mpe bato na yo tuku mitano. Bongo moto ekitaki wuta na likolo mpe ezikisaki mokonzi yango ya basoda elongo na basoda na ye tuku mitano.
And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty: 'If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.' And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
11 Mokonzi atindaki lisusu epai ya Eliya mokonzi mosusu ya basoda tuku mitano elongo na basoda na ye tuku mitano. Mokonzi ya basoda alobaki na Eliya: — Moto na Nzambe, mokonzi apesi mitindo ete okende noki epai na ye.
And again he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him: 'O man of God, thus hath the king said: Come down quickly.'
12 Kasi Eliya azongiselaki mokonzi ya basoda: — Soki solo nazali moto na Nzambe, tika ete moto ekita wuta na likolo mpe ezikisa yo elongo na bato na yo tuku mitano. Mbala moko moto ekitaki wuta na likolo mpe ezikisaki mokonzi ya basoda tuku mitano elongo na basoda na ye.
And Elijah answered and said unto them: 'If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.' And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
13 Mokonzi Akazia atindaki lisusu na mbala ya misato mokonzi mosusu ya basoda tuku mitano elongo na basoda tuku mitano. Mokonzi yango akendeki kofukama liboso ya Eliya mpe abondelaki ye: — Moto na Nzambe, tika ete bomoi na ngai mpe bomoi ya basali na yo, bato tuku mitano oyo, ezala na motuya na miso na yo!
And again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him: 'O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
14 Nayebi ete moto ekitaki wuta na likolo mpe ezikisaki bakonzi nyonso mibale ya basoda elongo na basoda na bango oyo bayaki liboso; kasi sik’oyo, tika ete bomoi na ngai mpe bomoi ya bato na ngai tuku mitano ezala na motuya na miso na yo!
Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and consumed the two former captains of fifty with their fifties; but now let my life be precious in thy sight'
15 Anjelu ya Yawe alobaki na Eliya: — Kende na ye nzela moko; kobanga ye te. Bongo Eliya atelemaki mpe akendeki na ye nzela moko kino epai ya mokonzi.
And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah: 'Go down with him; be not afraid of him.' And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
16 Alobaki na mokonzi: Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi: « Boni, Nzambe azali lisusu te na Isalaele mpo ete otinda bato kotuna epai ya Bala-Zebubi, nzambe ya Ekroni? Lokola osali bongo, okokita lisusu te na mbeto oyo olali, okokufa solo. »
And he said unto him: 'Thus saith the LORD: Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of His word? therefore thou shalt not come down from the bed whether thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.'
17 Mokonzi Akazia akufaki kolanda liloba oyo Yawe alobaki na nzela ya Eliya. Lokola mokonzi Akazia azalaki na mwana te, ndeko na ye ya mobali Yorami akitanaki na ye na bokonzi na tango Yorami, mwana mobali ya Jozafati, mokonzi ya Yuda, akokisaki mibu mibale na bokonzi.
So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram began to reign in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
18 Makambo mosusu oyo etali bokonzi ya Akazia mpe misala oyo asalaki ekomama kati na buku ya masolo ya bakonzi ya Isalaele.
Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
