1 Yango wana nazwaki mokano ya kozongela bino te mpo ete nayokisa bino lisusu mawa te.
So I decided for my own part that I would not again come to you in painful circumstances.
2 Pamba te soki nayokisi bino mawa, banani bakosepelisa ngai lisusu soki kaka te bino oyo ngai nayokisi mawa?
If I caused you pain, who could cheer me up but the very one who was hurt by me?
3 Nakomelaki bino ndenge mpe nasali yango sik’oyo mpo ete bato oyo basengeli kosepelisa ngai bayokisa ngai mawa te tango nakoya. Nandimisami penza na tina na bino nyonso ete esengo na ngai ezali mpe esengo na bino nyonso.
I wrote as I did in order that when I came to you I might not be hurt by those who should have made me rejoice. I have confidence about all of you that my joy is the same joy you all have.
4 Solo, tango nakomelaki bino, nazalaki kati na pasi makasi, kati na komitungisa na motema na ngai, mpe kati na kolela makasi; ezalaki te mpo na koyokisa bino mawa, kasi mpo ete boyeba mozindo ya bolingo na ngai mpo na bino.

So I encourage you to publicly affirm your love for him.
9 Pamba te nakomelaki bino lisusu mpo na komeka bino mpe mpo na kotala soki botosaka na makambo nyonso.
This was the reason I wrote, so that I might test you and know whether you are obedient in everything.
10 Moto nyonso oyo bino bolimbisi, ngai mpe nalimbisi ye; mpe likambo oyo ngai nalimbisi, soki ezalaki penza na likambo ya kolimbisa, nalimbisi yango mpo na bolamu na bino na miso ya Klisto,
If you forgive anyone, I forgive that person as well. What I have forgiven—if I have forgiven anything—it is forgiven for your sake in the presence of Christ.
11 mpo ete Satana akonza biso te, pamba te toyebi malamu makanisi na ye.
This is so that Satan will not trick us. For we are not ignorant of his plans.
12 Tango nakomaki na Troasi mpo na kosakola Sango Malamu ya Klisto, Nkolo afungolelaki ngai bikuke mpo ete nakoka kosala mosala na ngai.
A door was opened to me by the Lord when I came to the city of Troas to preach the gospel of Christ there.
13 Kasi motema na ngai etikalaki kozala na kimia te mpo ete namonaki kuna te ndeko na ngai, Tito. Boye, natikaki bango mpe nakendeki na Masedwane.

14 Sik’oyo, tika ete matondi ezonga epai na Nzambe oyo, mpo na bomoko na biso na Klisto, atambolisaka biso tango nyonso kati na molongo na Ye ya balongi, mpe azwaka biso lokola bisalelo na Ye mpo na kopanza boyebi ya Klisto, na bisika nyonso, lokola solo kitoko ya malasi.
But may thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph. Through us he spreads the sweet aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.
15 Pamba te, mpo na Nzambe, tozali solo kitoko ya Klisto kati na bato oyo bazali na nzela ya lobiko mpe kati na ba-oyo bazali kobunga.
For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ, both among those who are saved and among those who are perishing.
16 Mpo na bamoko, tozali solo ya kufa, oyo ezali komema bango na kufa; mpe mpo na bamosusu, tozali solo ya bomoi, oyo ezali komema bango na bomoi. Boye nani azali na makoki mpo na mosala ya lolenge oyo?
To the people who are perishing, it is an aroma from death to death. To the ones being saved, it is an aroma from life to life. Who is worthy of these things?
17 Solo, biso tozali te lokola ebele ya bato oyo bakomisaka Liloba na Nzambe mombongo na bango mpo na kokoma na bomengo. Kati na Klisto, tosakolaka nde Liloba na bosolo nyonso lokola batindami ya Nzambe.
For we are not like so many people who sell the word of God for profit. Instead, with purity of motives, we speak in Christ, as we are sent from God, in the sight of God.
