< 2 Masolo ya Kala 24 >
1 Joasi azalaki na mibu sambo ya mbotama tango akomaki mokonzi, mpe akonzaki mibu tuku minei na Yelusalemi. Kombo ya mama na ye ezalaki « Tsibia. » Tsibia azalaki moto ya Beri-Sheba.
Joash was seven years old when he began to reign; he reigned for forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Zibiah, of Beersheba.
2 Joasi asalaki makambo ya sembo na miso ya Yawe na mikolo nyonso ya bomoi ya Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada.
Joash did what was right in the eyes of Yahweh all the days of Jehoiada, the priest.
3 Yeoyada aponaki mpo na Joasi basi mibale oyo babotelaki ye bana mibali mpe bana basi.
Jehoiada took for him two wives, and he became the father of sons and daughters.
4 Sima na yango, Joasi azwaki mokano ya kobongisa Tempelo ya Yawe.
It came about after this, that Joash decided to restore the house of Yahweh.
5 Abengisaki Banganga-Nzambe mpe Balevi, alobaki na bango: — Botambola kati na bingumba ya Yuda, bokongola mbongo, mobu na mobu, kati na Isalaele mobimba mpo na kobongisa Tempelo ya Yawe, Nzambe na bino. Bosala yango sik’oyo. Kasi Balevi basalaki yango na lombangu te.
He gathered together the priests and the Levites, and he said to them, “Go out every year to the cities of Judah and gather from all Israel money to repair the house of your God. Make sure that you start right away.” The Levites did nothing at first.
6 Mokonzi abengisaki Yeoyada, mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe, mpe alobaki na ye: « Mpo na nini olobaki te na Balevi ete bakongola, wuta na Yuda mpe na Yelusalemi, mpako oyo Moyize, mosali na Yawe, akatelaki lisanga ya Isalaele mpo na Ndako ya kapo ya Litatoli? »
So the king called for Jehoiada the high priest and said to him, “Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and Jerusalem the tax levied by Moses the servant of Yahweh and by the assembly of Israel for the tent of the covenant decrees?”
7 Nzokande, bana mibali ya Atali, mwasi mabe, batobolaki madusu mpo na kokota kati na Tempelo ya Yawe mpe basalelaki ata bisalelo na yango nyonso ya bule mpo na losambo ya banzambe Bala.
For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God and had given all the holy things of the house of Yahweh to the Baals.
8 Mokonzi apesaki mitindo ete basala sanduku, batia yango na libanda ya ekuke ya Tempelo ya Yawe
So the king commanded, and they made a chest and placed it outside at the entrance to the house of Yahweh.
9 mpe batatola kati na Yuda mpe kati na Yelusalemi ete basengeli komemela Yawe mpako oyo Moyize, mosali na Nzambe, akatelaki Isalaele kati na esobe.
Then they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, for the people to bring in for Yahweh the tax that Moses the servant of God levied on Israel in the wilderness.
10 Bakalaka nyonso mpe bato nyonso basepelaki na yango: bamemaki mbongo na bango mpe batiaki yango kati na sanduku kino etondaki.
All the leaders and all the people rejoiced and brought money in and put it into the chest until they finished filling it.
11 Tango nyonso Balevi bazalaki komema sanduku epai ya bakalaka ya mokonzi mpe bazalaki komona ete ezalaki na mbongo ebele, mokomi mikanda ya mokonzi mpe mobombi biloko ya mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe bazalaki koya kolongola mbongo oyo ezalaki kati na sanduku mpe kozongisa sanduku na esika na yango. Bazalaki kosala bongo mikolo nyonso mpe bazalaki kokongola mbongo ebele.
It happened that whenever the chest was brought to the king's officials by the hand of the Levites, and whenever they saw that there was much money in it, the king's scribe and the high priest's official would come, empty the chest, and take it and carry it back to its place. They did this day after day, gathering large amounts of money.
12 Mokonzi mpe Yeoyada bazalaki kopesa yango na bato oyo bazalaki kosala misala ya kobongisa Tempelo ya Yawe. Bafutaki babuki mabanga, basharipantie mpe bato oyo basalaka misala ya bibende mpe ya bronze na moto, mpo na kobongisa Tempelo ya Yawe.
The king and Jehoiada gave the money to those who did the work of serving in the house of Yahweh. These men hired stonemasons and carpenters to restore the house of Yahweh, and also those who worked in iron and bronze.
13 Bato oyo bazalaki kosala misala basalaki yango noki, mpe misala ezalaki kotambola malamu na bokambami na bango. Babongisaki Tempelo ya Nzambe ndenge ezalaka.
So the workmen labored, and the work of repairing went forward in their hands; they set up the house of God in its original design and strengthened it.
14 Tango basilisaki, bazongisaki epai ya mokonzi mpe Yeoyada mbongo oyo etikalaki. Na mbongo yango, basalaki bisalelo mpo na Tempelo ya Yawe, mpo na losambo, mpo na bambeka ya kotumba, bakopo, mpe bisalelo mosusu ya wolo mpe ya palata. Na mikolo nyonso ya bomoi ya Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada, bazalaki kobonza bambeka ya kotumba kati na Tempelo ya Yawe.
When they finished, they brought the rest of the money to the king and Jehoiada. This money was used to make furnishings for the house of Yahweh, utensils with which to serve and make offerings—spoons and utensils of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the house of Yahweh continually for all the days of Jehoiada.
15 Yeoyada akomaki mobange makasi, atondaki mikolo mpe akufaki tango akokisaki mibu nkama moko na tuku misato ya mbotama.
Jehoiada grew old and was full of days, and then he died; he was 130 years old when he died.
16 Bakundaki ye kati na engumba ya Davidi esika moko na bakonzi mpo na bolamu oyo asalaki kati na Isalaele, mpo na Nzambe mpe mpo na Tempelo ya Yawe.
They buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, toward God, and to God's house.
17 Sima na kufa ya Yeoyada, bakambi ya Yuda bayaki kopesa mokonzi lokumu, mpe mokonzi ayokaki bango.
Now after the death of Jehoiada, the leaders of Judah came and did honor to the king. Then the king listened to them.
18 Basundolaki Tempelo ya Yawe, Nzambe ya batata na bango, mpe bakomaki kogumbamela makonzi ya Ashera mpe banzambe ya bikeko. Mpo na etamboli mabe na bango, kanda ya Yawe ekweyelaki Yuda mpe Yelusalemi.
They forsook the house of Yahweh, the God of their ancestors, and worshiped the Asherah gods and the idols. God's anger came on Judah and Jerusalem for this wrongdoing of theirs.
19 Atako Yawe atindaki basakoli kati na bango mpo na kozongisa bango epai na Ye, mpe atako basakoli bapamelaki bango, kasi batikalaki kaka koyoka te.
Yet he sent prophets to them to bring them again to himself, Yahweh; the prophets testified against the people, but they refused to listen.
20 Molimo ya Nzambe akitelaki Zakari, mwana mobali ya Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada, mpe Zakari atelemaki liboso ya bato mpe alobaki: « Tala makambo oyo Nzambe alobi: ‹ Mpo na nini bozali kotosa mitindo ya Yawe te? Bokokende liboso te! Lokola bosundoli Yawe, Ye mpe asundoli bino. › »
The Spirit of God came on Zechariah son of Jehoiada, the priest; Zechariah stood above the people and said to them, “God says this: Why do you transgress the commandments of Yahweh, so that you cannot prosper? Since you have forsaken Yahweh, he has also forsaken you.”
21 Kasi bato basalelaki ye likita; mpe na etinda ya mokonzi, babomaki ye na mabanga kati na lopango ya Tempelo ya Yawe.
But they plotted against him; at the king's command, they stoned him with stones in the courtyard of the house of Yahweh.
22 Mokonzi Joasi abosanaki bolamu nyonso oyo Yeoyada, tata ya Zakari, asalelaki ye, mpe abomaki Zakari, mwana mobali ya Yeoyada. Tango azalaki kokufa, Zakari alobaki: « Tika ete Yawe amona mpe akata likambo oyo! »
In this manner, Joash, the king, ignored the kindness that Jehoiada, Zechariah's father, had done to him. Instead, he killed Jehoiada's son. When Zechariah was dying, he said, “May Yahweh see this and call you to account.”
23 Na suka ya mobu, basoda ya Siri babundisaki Joasi, bakotaki na makasi kati na Yuda mpe Yelusalemi, babomaki bakambi nyonso ya bato mpe batindaki bomengo nyonso ya bitumba epai ya mokonzi na bango, na Damasi.
It came about at the end of the year, that the army of Aram came up against Joash. They came to Judah and Jerusalem; they killed all the leaders of the people and sent all the plunder from them to the king of Damascus.
24 Atako ndambo ya basoda ya Siri kaka nde bayaki, kasi Yawe akabaki na maboko na bango mampinga ya bato ya Yuda, oyo elekaki monene, pamba te basundolaki Yawe, Nzambe ya batata na bango. Boye, basoda ya Siri bakokisaki etumbu oyo ekweyelaki Joasi.
Although the army of the Arameans had come with only a few soldiers, Yahweh gave them victory over a very great army, because Judah had forsaken Yahweh, the God of their ancestors. In this way the Arameans brought judgment on Joash.
25 Tango bato ya Siri bazongaki, batikaki Joasi na bapota minene. Bakalaka na ye basalelaki ye likita na ndenge abomaki mwana mobali ya Nganga-Nzambe Yeoyada mpe babomaki ye na mbeto na ye. Boye, akufaki mpe bakundaki ye kati na engumba ya Davidi, kasi kati na bakunda ya bakonzi te.
By the time that the Arameans had gone, Joash had been severely wounded. His own servants plotted against him because of the murder of the sons of Jehoiada, the priest. They killed him in his bed, and he died; they buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.
26 Tala bato oyo basalelaki ye likita: Zabadi, mwana mobali ya Shimeati, mwasi ya mboka Amoni; mpe Yozabadi, mwana mobali ya Shimiriti, mwasi ya Moabi.
These were the persons who plotted against him: Zabad son of Shimeath, an Ammonite woman; and Jehozabad son of Shimrith, a Moabite woman.
27 Bakombo ya bana na ye ya mibali, maloba nyonso oyo basakolaki mpo na ye mpe mikano oyo babongisaki mpo na Tempelo ya Nzambe ekomama kati na buku ya masolo ya bakonzi. Amatsia, mwana na ye ya mobali, akitanaki na ye na bokonzi.
Now the accounts about his sons, the important prophecies that were spoken about him, and the rebuilding of the house of God, see, they are written in the commentary on the book of the kings. Amaziah his son became king in his place.
