1 Salomo, mwana mobali ya Davidi, alendisamaki makasi na bokonzi na ye, pamba te Yawe, Nzambe na ye, azalaki elongo na ye mpe akomisaki ye moto monene penza.
Solomon son of David was strengthened in his rule, and Yahweh his God was with him and made him very powerful.
2 Salomo abengisaki Isalaele mobimba: bakonzi ya bankoto ya basoda, bakonzi ya bankama ya basoda, basambisi, bakambi ya Isalaele mobimba mpe bakambi ya mabota.
Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers' houses.
3 Bongo, Salomo elongo na lisanga mobimba bakendeki na esambelo ya likolo ya ngomba, na Gabaoni, pamba te Ndako ya kapo ya Bokutani ya Nzambe, oyo Moyize, mosali na Yawe, atelemisaki na esobe ezalaki kuna.
So Solomon and all the assembly with him went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for there was the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of Yahweh, had made in the wilderness.

But David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place that he had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.
5 Kasi etumbelo ya bronze oyo Betisaleyeli, mwana mobali ya Uri mpe koko ya Wuri, atongaki ezalaki liboso ya Mongombo. Ezalaki kuna nde Salomo elongo na lisanga mobimba balukaki Yawe.
In addition, the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur was there before the tabernacle of Yahweh; Solomon and the assembly went to it.
6 Salomo akendeki na etumbelo ya bronze, liboso ya Yawe kati na Ndako ya kapo ya Bokutani, mpe abonzaki kuna bambeka ya kotumba nkoto moko.
Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before Yahweh, which was at the tent of meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.
7 Na butu wana, Nzambe abimelaki Salomo mpe alobaki na ye: — Senga Ngai nyonso oyo olingi ete napesa yo.
God appeared to Solomon that night and said to him, “Ask! What should I give you?”
8 Salomo azongiselaki Nzambe: — Otalisi bolamu monene epai ya Davidi, tata na ngai, mpe otie ngai mokonzi na esika na ye.
Solomon said to God, “You have shown great covenant faithfulness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.
9 Sik’oyo, oh Yawe Nzambe, tika ete elaka oyo opesaki epai ya Davidi, tata na ngai, ekokisama! Pamba te ezali Yo nde otie ngai mokonzi ya bato oyo bazali ebele lokola putulu ya mabele.
Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be carried out, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.
10 Pesa ngai bwanya mpe boyebi mpo ete nakoka kotambolisa bato oyo. Pamba te, nani akolonga kokamba ebele ya bato na Yo oyo?
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may lead this people, for who can judge your people, who are so many in number?”
11 Nzambe alobaki na Salomo: — Lokola likambo oyo ezali posa ya motema na yo; lokola osengi bozwi te, bomengo to lokumu te to mpe kufa ya banguna na yo te; lokola osengi te bomoi molayi, kasi osengi bwanya mpe boyebi mpo na kotambolisa bato na Ngai, oyo natie yo mokonzi na bango,
God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and because you have not asked for riches, wealth, or honor, nor for the life of those who hate you, nor for long life for yourself, but you have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you might rule my people, over whom I have made you king, and this is what I will do.
12 bwanya mpe boyebi ekopesamela yo, mpe nakopesa yo lisusu bozwi, bomengo mpe lokumu oyo mokonzi moko te, liboso na yo, atikala kozwa, mpe mokonzi moko te, sima na yo, akotikala kozwa.
I will now give you wisdom and knowledge. I will also give you riches, wealth, and honor, as none of the kings had before you, and none after you will have.”
13 Bongo Salomo alongwaki na esambelo ya likolo ya ngomba, na Gabaoni epai wapi akendeki liboso ya Ndako ya kapo ya Bokutani, mpe azongaki na Yelusalemi. Mpe akomaki mokonzi ya Isalaele.
So Solomon came to Jerusalem from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting; he reigned over Israel.
14 Salomo asangisaki bashar mpe basoda oyo batambolaka likolo ya bampunda; azalaki na bashar nkoto moko na nkama minei, mpe basoda oyo batambolaka likolo ya bampunda, nkoto zomi na mibale. Abombaki bango kati na bingumba epai wapi babombaka bashar, mpe na Yelusalemi epai wapi mokonzi azalaki kovanda.
Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen, and he had 1,400 chariots and twelve thousand horsemen that he placed in the chariot cities, and with himself, the king in Jerusalem.
15 Mokonzi asalaki ete wolo mpe palata ekoma ebele na Yelusalemi lokola mabanga, mpe banzete ya sedele ekoma ebele lokola banzete ya sikomori oyo ezali kati na mokili ya lubwaku.
The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as the stones, and he made cedar wood as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowlands.
16 Bampunda ya Salomo ezalaki kowuta na Ejipito mpe na engumba Kue. Bato ya mombongo ya mokonzi nde bazalaki kosomba yango kuna na engumba Kue.
As for the importation of horses from Egypt and Kue for Solomon, his merchants bought them from Kue at a price.
17 Bazalaki kosomba na Ejipito shar moko na motuya ya mbongo ya bibende ya palata, nkama motoba, mpe mpunda moko na motuya ya mbongo ya bibende, nkama moko na tuku mitano; bazalaki mpe kosomba yango mpo na bakonzi nyonso ya bato ya Iti mpe ya Siri.
They imported a chariot from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for 150 shekels. They also exported them to the kings of the Hittites and the Arameans.
