< 1 Timote 2 >

1 Boye liboso na nyonso, nazali kolendisa ete bosengaka na Nzambe, bosambelaka Ye, bobondelaka Ye mpo na bato mosusu mpe bozongiselaka Ye matondi mpo na bato nyonso,
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 oyo alingi ete bato nyonso babikisama mpe bayeba solo.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 Solo, ezali na Nzambe kaka moko. Ndenge moko mpe ezali na Moyokanisi kaka moko kati na Nzambe mpe bato: ezali moto moko, Yesu-Klisto
For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 oyo amikabaki lokola mbeka mpo na kokangola bato nyonso. Yango nde litatoli oyo epesamaki na tango oyo abongisa.
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 Ezali mpe mpo na litatoli yango nde Nzambe atiaki ngai mopanzi sango mpe ntoma, mpo na kolakisa kondima mpe solo epai ya Bapagano. Nazali kokosa te, nazali nde koloba solo.
Where unto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not; ) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 kasi balata nde misala ya malamu, misala oyo ebongi mpo na basi oyo batatolaka polele ete bagumbamelaka Nzambe.
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 Solo Nzambe asalaki liboso Adamu, mpe sima, Eva.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 Ezali Adamu te moto akosamaki; ezali mwasi nde akosamaki mpe abukaki mobeko ya Nzambe,
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 kasi mwasi akobikisama na nzela ya kobota. Basi bakobikisama soki bakobi kati na kondima, kati na bolingo mpe kati na bosantu oyo ezangi lolendo.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
