< 1 Samuele 18 >

1 Tango kaka Davidi asilisaki kosolola na Saulo, Jonatan akangamaki na Davidi mpe alingaki ye lokola ye moko.
When he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was bound to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
2 Kobanda mokolo wana, Saulo avandisaki Davidi kati na ndako na ye mpe atikaki ye te kozonga na ndako ya tata na ye.
Saul took David into his service that day; he did not let him return to his father's house.
3 Jonatan asalaki boyokani elongo na Davidi, pamba te alingaki ye lokola ye moko.
Then Jonathan and David made a covenant of friendship because Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
4 Jonatan alongolaki kazaka oyo azalaki kolata mpe apesaki yango na Davidi. Apesaki ye mpe bilamba na ye, mopanga na ye, mokaba na ye mpe eloko na ye oyo abetelaka tolotolo.
Jonathan took off the robe that he was wearing and gave it to David with his armor, as well as his sword, bow, and belt.
5 Lokola Davidi azalaki penza kosala malamu mosala nyonso oyo Saulo azalaki kotinda ye na bisika nyonso, Saulo akomisaki ye mokonzi monene ya basoda. Bato nyonso elongo na basali ya Saulo bazalaki kosepela na ye.
David went out wherever Saul sent him, and he succeeded. Saul set him over the men of war. This was pleasing in the eyes of all the people and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
6 Sima na Davidi koboma moto ya Filisitia, tango basoda bazalaki kozonga wuta na bitumba, basi babimaki wuta na bingumba nyonso ya Isalaele mpo na kokende koyamba mokonzi Saulo, na banzembo ya esengo mpe na mabina, na milolo ya esengo, na bambunda mike mpe na bangonga.
As they came home from defeating the Philistines, the women came from all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments.
7 Basi bazalaki kobina mpe koyemba boye: « Saulo abomaki bankoto, mpe Davidi abomaki bankoto zomi. »
The women sang one to another as they played. They sang: “Saul has killed his thousands, and David his ten thousands.”
8 Maloba ya banzembo yango epesaki Saulo kanda makasi. Amilobelaki: « Soki batangi motango ya nkoto zomi mpo na Davidi, mpe motango ya nkoto moko mpo na ngai, elingi koloba ete etikali na ye kaka kozwa bokonzi! »
Saul was very angry, and this song displeased him. He said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but they have ascribed only thousands to me. What more can he have but the monarchy?”
9 Kobanda mokolo wana, Saulo akomaki kotala Davidi miso mabe.
Saul looked at David with suspicion from that day on.
10 Mokolo oyo elandaki, molimo moko ya mabe kowuta na Nzambe ekitelaki Saulo, mpe akomaki kotuntuka kati na ndako na ye, wana Davidi azalaki kobeta lindanda na ye ndenge azalaki kosala mikolo nyonso. Saulo asimbaki likonga na ye na loboko.
The next day a harmful spirit from God rushed upon Saul and he raved within the house. So David played his instrument, as he did each day. Saul had a spear in his hand.
11 Mbala moko, Saulo abwakaki likonga na ye na koloba: « Nakobamba Davidi na mir. » Kasi Davidi akimaki ye mbala mibale.
Saul threw the spear, for he thought, “I will pin David to the wall.” But David escaped from Saul's presence twice in this way.
12 Saulo abangaki Davidi, pamba te Yawe azalaki elongo na Davidi kasi atikaki Saulo.
Saul was afraid of David, because Yahweh was with him, but was no longer with Saul.
13 Mpo na yango, Saulo alongolaki Davidi pembeni na ye mpe akomisaki ye mokonzi ya basoda nkoto moko. Boye Davidi akomaki kotambolisa basoda na bitumba na bango.
So Saul removed him from his presence and appointed him a commander of a thousand. In this way David went out and came in before the people.
14 Na nyonso oyo azalaki kosala, Davidi azalaki kolonga, pamba te Yawe azalaki elongo na ye.
David was prospering in all his ways, for Yahweh was with him.
15 Tango Saulo amonaki ete Davidi azali kolonga mingi, abangaki ye.
When Saul saw that he prospered, he stood in awe of him.
16 Kasi Isalaele mobimba mpe Yuda mobimba bazalaki kolinga Davidi mpo ete azalaki kotambolisa bango na bitumba na bango.
But all Israel and Judah loved David, for he went out and came in before them.
17 Saulo alobaki na Davidi: — Tala Merabi, mwana na ngai ya liboso ya mwasi! Nakopesa yo ye na libala soki kaka osali epai na ngai lokola soda ya mpiko mpe obundi bitumba ya Yawe. Nzokande Saulo azalaki komilobela: « Tika ete loboko na ngai eboma ye te, kasi ezala nde loboko ya bato ya Filisitia. »
Then Saul said to David, “Here is my oldest daughter Merab. I will give her to you as a wife. Only be courageous for me and fight Yahweh's battles.” For Saul thought, “Let not my hand be on him, but let the hand of the Philistines be on him.”
18 Davidi azongiselaki Saulo: — Ngai nazali nani, libota na ngai nde nini, etuka ya tata na ngai nde nini kati na Isalaele mpo ete nakoma bokilo ya mokonzi?
David said to Saul, “Who am I, and who are my relatives, or my father's clan in Israel, that I should be son-in-law to the king?”
19 Boye, tango ngonga ya kobalisa Merabi, mwana mwasi ya Saulo, epai ya Davidi ekokaki, Saulo abalisaki ye epai ya Adriyeli, moto ya Meola.
But at the time when Merab, Saul's daughter, should have been given to David, she was given to Adriel the Meholathite as a wife.
20 Nzokande Mikali, mwana mwasi ya Saulo, azalaki kolinga Davidi. Mpe tango bayebisaki Saulo likambo yango, asepelaki makasi.
But Michal, Saul's daughter, loved David. They told Saul, and this pleased him.
21 Boye Saulo amilobelaki: « Nakobalisa Mikali epai ya Davidi, mpo ete azala motambo mpo na ye, mpe ete loboko ya bato ya Filisitia ekanga ye Davidi. » Boye Saulo alobaki na Davidi: « Ozwi sik’oyo libaku ya mibale ya kokoma bokilo na ngai. »
Then Saul thought, “I will give her to him, so that she can be a trap for him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” So Saul said to David a second time, “You will be my son-in-law.”
22 Bongo Saulo apesaki mitindo epai ya basali na ye: « Bosolola na Davidi na nkuku mpe boyebisa ye: ‹ Tala ndenge nini mokonzi azali kosepela na yo, mpe basali na ye nyonso balingi yo! Koma na yo sik’oyo bokilo na ye! › »
Saul commanded his servants, “Speak with David in private, and say, 'See, the king takes pleasure in you, and all his servants love you. Now then, become the king's son-in-law.'”
23 Basali ya Saulo bazongelaki maloba oyo epai ya Davidi, kasi Davidi alobaki: « Bokanisi ete kokoma bokilo ya mokonzi ezali likambo ya pete? Kaka ngai oyo nazali mobola mpe moto pamba! »
So Saul's servants spoke these words to David. Then David said, “Is it a small matter to you to be the king's son-in-law, since I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?”
24 Basali ya Saulo bayebisaki ye maloba ya Davidi.
The servants of Saul reported to him the words which David spoke.
25 Saulo alobaki: « Boloba na Davidi ete mokonzi asengi mbongo ya libala te, kasi bangenga nkama moko ya nzoto ya mibali kati na bato ya Filisitia mpo na kozongisa mabe na mabe epai ya banguna na ye. » Makanisi ya Saulo ezalaki ya komona Davidi kokweya na maboko ya bato ya Filisitia.
Then Saul said, “Say this to David, 'The king does not desire any price for the bride except a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged from the king's enemies.'” Now Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
26 Tango basali bayebisaki Davidi makambo yango, Davidi asepelaki kokoma bokilo ya mokonzi. Boye liboso ete tango oyo bakataki ekoka,
When his servants told David these words, it pleased David to be the king's son-in-law.
27 Davidi elongo na mampinga na ye babimaki mpe babomaki mibali nkama mibale kati na bato ya Filisitia. Davidi amemaki bangenga na bango, mpe batangaki motango na yango liboso ya mokonzi mpo ete Davidi akoma bokilo ya mokonzi. Boye Saulo apesaki na libala Mikali, mwana na ye ya mwasi, epai ya Davidi.
Before those days had expired, David went with his men and killed two hundred Philistines. David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full number to the king, so that he might be the king's son-in-law. So Saul gave him Michal his daughter as his wife.
28 Tango Saulo amonaki mpe asosolaki ete Yawe azali elongo na Davidi, mpe ete mwana na ye ya mwasi, Mikali, alingaka Davidi,
When Saul saw, and he knew that Yahweh was with David, and that Michal, Saul's daughter, loved him,
29 Saulo akomaki lisusu kobanga Davidi makasi, mpe akomaki monguna na ye na mikolo ya bomoi na ye, oyo etikalaki.
Saul was even more afraid of David. Saul was continually David's enemy.
30 Bakonzi ya basoda ya Filisitia bakobaki kobima mpo na kobunda; mpe tango nyonso bazalaki kosala yango, Davidi azalaki kolonga, koleka bakonzi mosusu ya basoda ya Saulo. Boye kombo na ye ekendeki sango.
Then the princes of the Philistines came out for battle, and as often as they came out, David succeeded more than all the servants of Saul, so that his name was highly regarded.
