< 1 Bakonzi 9 >
1 Sima na Salomo kosilisa kotonga Tempelo ya Yawe, ndako ya mokonzi mpe kosala nyonso oyo azalaki na yango posa,
After Solomon had finished building the house of Yahweh and the king's palace, and after he had accomplished all that he wanted to do,
2 Yawe abimelaki Salomo na mbala ya mibale, ndenge kaka abimelaki ye na mbala ya liboso, na Gabaoni.
Yahweh appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.
3 Yawe alobaki na ye: « Nayoki losambo mpe libondeli na yo, oyo osali liboso na Ngai; nabulisi Tempelo oyo otongi mpo ete natia Kombo na Ngai kati na yango mpo na libela. Miso mpe motema na Ngai ekobanda kozala kuna tango nyonso.
Then Yahweh said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your request that you have made before me. I have set apart this house, which you have built, to myself, to put my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time.
4 Mpo na yo, soki okotambola liboso na Ngai ndenge Davidi, tata na yo, atambolaki na motema malamu mpe na motema ya sembo; soki okosala nyonso oyo natindaki yo mpe okobatela mibeko mpe malako na Ngai,
As for you, if you walk before me as David your father walked in integrity of heart and in uprightness, obeying all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my decrees,
5 nakolendisa mpo na libela kiti na yo ya bokonzi kati na Isalaele, ndenge nalobaki yango epai ya Davidi, tata na yo: ‹ Okotikalaka kozanga te moto oyo akokitana na kiti ya bokonzi ya Isalaele. ›
then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, 'A descendant of yours will never fail to be on the throne of Israel.'
6 Kasi soki yo mpe bana na yo ya mibali bopengwi mosika na Ngai; soki botosi te mibeko mpe malako na Ngai, oyo natie liboso na bino; soki bokeyi kosalela banzambe mosusu mpe kofukamela yango,
But if you turn away, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have placed before you, and if you go and worship other gods and bow down to them,
7 nakolongola Isalaele kati na mabele oyo napesaki ye, nakobwaka mosika ya elongi na Ngai Tempelo oyo nabulisi mpo na Kombo na Ngai, mpe Isalaele akokoma eloko ya kotiola mpe ya soni kati na bikolo nyonso.
then will I cut off Israel from off the ground that I have given them; and this house that I have set apart to my name, I will cast it out of my sight, and Israel will become an example to be mocked and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
8 Atako Tempelo oyo ezali sik’oyo kitoko penza, kasi bato nyonso oyo bakoleka pembeni na yango bakokamwa mpe bakoloba: ‹ Mpo na nini Yawe asali makambo ya boye na mokili oyo mpe na Tempelo oyo? ›
This temple will become a heap of ruins, and everyone who passes by it will be shocked and will hiss. They will ask, 'Why has Yahweh done this to this land and to this house?'
9 Bakoyanola: ‹ Ezali mpo ete basundolaki Yawe, Nzambe ya batata na bango, oyo abimisaki bango na Ejipito mpe bamipesaki na banzambe mosusu, bafukamelaki mpe basalelaki yango; yango wana Yawe ayeisi likolo na bango pasi oyo nyonso. › »
Others will answer, 'Because they forsook Yahweh, their God, who had brought their ancestors out of the land of Egypt, and they laid hold of other gods and bowed down to them and worshiped them. That is why Yahweh has brought all this disaster on them.'”
10 Sima na mibu tuku mibale oyo Salomo asalaki mpo na kotonga Tempelo ya Yawe mpe ndako na ye moko,
It came about at the end of twenty years that Solomon had finished building the two buildings, the temple of Yahweh and the king's palace.
11 akabelaki Irami, mokonzi ya Tiri, bingumba tuku mibale kati na Galile, pamba te Irami asungaki Salomo na nyonso oyo azalaki na yango na bosenga: mabaya ya sedele, ya sipele mpe wolo.
Now Hiram, the king of Tyre, had furnished Solomon with cedar and cypress trees, and with gold—all that Solomon desired—so King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
12 Irami abimaki wuta na Tiri, mokili na ye, mpo na kotala bingumba oyo Salomo akabelaki ye, kasi asepelaki na yango te.
Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities that Solomon had given him, but they did not please him.
13 Alobaki: « Ndeko na ngai, bingumba nini oyo opesi ngai? » Yango wana abengaki bingumba yango mokili ya Kabuli, kombo oyo etikala kino lelo.
So Hiram said, “What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?” Hiram called them the Land of Kabul, which they are still called today.
14 Nzokande, Irami apesaki Salomo bakilo nkoto misato na nkama mitano ya wolo.
Hiram had sent to the king 120 talents of gold.
15 Salomo asalisaki bana ya Isalaele misala makasi mpo na kotonga Tempelo ya Yawe, ndako na ye moko, Milo, mir ya Yelusalemi, Atsori, Megido mpe Gezeri.
This is the account of the forced labor which King Solomon imposed to build the temple of Yahweh and his own palace, the Millo, the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
16 Faraon, mokonzi ya Ejipito, amataki na Gezeri, abotolaki yango na maboko ya bato ya Kanana oyo bazalaki kovanda kuna, abomaki bango, atumbaki engumba yango na moto mpe akabaki yango epai ya mwana na ye ya mwasi oyo akomaki mwasi ya Salomo.
Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and taken Gezer. He burned it and killed the Canaanites in the city. Then Pharaoh gave the city to his daughter, Solomon's wife, as a wedding gift.
17 Yango wana Salomo atongaki lisusu Beti-Oroni ya likolo mpe Beti-Oroni ya se,
So Solomon rebuilt Gezer and Beth Horon the Lower,
18 Baalati mpe Tamari kati na esobe ya mokili,
Baalath and Tamar in the wilderness in the land of Judah,
19 bingumba nyonso epai wapi azalaki kobomba biloko na ye, bingumba epai wapi azalaki kobomba bashar mpe bampunda na ye. Salomo atongaki lisusu nyonso oyo azalaki na yango posa kati na Yelusalemi, kati na Libani mpe kati na mokili nyonso oyo azalaki kokamba.
and all the store cities that he possessed, and the cities for his chariots and the cities for his horsemen, and whatever he wished to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the lands under his rule.
20 Batikali nyonso kati na bato ya Amori, ya Iti, ya Perizi, ya Evi mpe ya Yebusi, ba-oyo bazalaki bana ya Isalaele te,
As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the people of Israel,
21 ba-oyo bana na bango batikalaki kati na mokili oyo bana ya Isalaele babebisaki, Salomo azwaki bango mpo na misala makasi ya bawumbu, kino na mokolo ya lelo.
their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the people of Israel were not able to totally destroy—Solomon made them into forced laborers, which they are to this day.
22 Kasi Salomo akomisaki te bana ya Isalaele bawumbu mpo na kosala misala makasi na ye, pamba te bazalaki bato ya bitumba, bakalaka na ye ya lokumu, bakalaka na ye, bakonzi ya basoda na ye, bakonzi ya bashar na ye mpe ya basoda na ye, oyo batambolisaka bashar.
However, Solomon made no forced laborers of the people of Israel. Instead, they became his soldiers and his servants, his officials, and his officers and commanders of his chariot forces and his horsemen.
23 Tala motango ya bakalaka ya lokumu oyo batindamaki mpo na kokamba bato oyo bazalaki kosala misala ya Salomo: bakalaka nkama mitano na tuku mitano.
These were also the chief officers managing the supervisors who were over Solomon's works, 550 of them, who supervised the people who did the work.
24 Sima na mwana mwasi ya Faraon kolongwa na engumba ya Davidi mpo na kokende na ndako oyo Salomo atongelaki ye, Salomo atongaki Milo.
Pharaoh's daughter moved from the city of David to the house that Solomon had built for her. Later, Solomon built the Millo.
25 Mbala misato kati na mobu, Salomo azalaki kobonza bambeka ya kotumba mpe bambeka ya boyokani na likolo ya etumbelo oyo atongaki mpo na Yawe; azalaki mpe kotumba malasi ya ansa na likolo ya etumbelo oyo ezalaki liboso ya Yawe. Ezalaki bongo nde misala ezalaki kokokisama kati na Tempelo ya Yawe.
Three times each year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar that he built for Yahweh, burning incense with them on the altar that was before Yahweh. So he completed the temple and was now using it.
26 Mokonzi Salomo asalisaki masuwa ebele na engumba Etsioni-Geberi oyo ezali pene ya Eyiloti, pembeni ya ebale monene ya Barozo, kati na mokili ya Edomi.
King Solomon built a fleet of ships in Ezion Geber, which is near Elath on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.
27 Irami atindaki na masuwa yango basali na ye, bato oyo bayebaki kotambolisa malamu masuwa kati na ebale monene; bazalaki elongo na basali ya Salomo.
Hiram sent servants to Solomon's fleet, sailors who were familiar with the sea, with Solomon's own servants.
28 Bakendeki na Ofiri epai wapi bazwaki bakilo nkoto zomi na mibale ya wolo oyo bamemaki epai ya mokonzi Salomo.
They went to Ophir with servants of Solomon. From there they brought back 420 talents of gold for King Solomon.
