1 Na tango oyo Davidi akimaki na Tsikilagi mpo na kobombama Saulo, mwana mobali ya Kishi, bato bayaki kosangana na ye. Bazalaki basoda ya mpiko oyo babongami mpo na kosalisa ye na bitumba.
Now these are the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was still shut up, because of Saul, the son of Kish; they were among the strong men, his helpers in war.
2 Bazalaki kobunda na batolotolo mpe kosalela malamu loboko ya mwasi mpe ya mobali mpo na kobwaka mabanga mpe kobeta bambanzi ya batolotolo. Bazalaki bato ya ekolo moko na Saulo: ekolo ya Benjame.
They were armed with bows, and were able to send stones, and arrows from the bow, with right hand or left: they were Saul's brothers, of Benjamin.
3 Tala bakombo na bango: Akiezeri, mokonzi na bango; Joasi, mwana mibali ya Shemaa, moto ya Gibea; Yezieli mpe Peleti, bana mibali ya Azimaveti; Beraka; Jewu, moto ya Anatoti;
Ahiezer was their chief, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Beracah and Jehu the Anathothite;
4 Yishimaeya, moto ya Gabaoni, moko kati na lisanga ya basoda ya mpiko tuku misato mpe azalaki mokonzi ya lisanga yango; Jeremi, Yaazieli, Yoanani, Yozabadi, moto ya Gedera;
And Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a great man among the thirty, and their chief; and Jeremiah and Jehaziel and Johanan and Jozabad the Gederathite;
5 Elewuzayi, Yerimoti, Bealia, Shemaria, Shefatia, moto ya Arofi;
Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6 Elikana, Yishiya, Azareeli, Yoezeri mpe Yashobeami: bango nyonso bazalaki bato ya libota ya Kore;
Elkanah and Isshiah and Azarel and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7 Yoela mpe Zebadia, bana mibali ya Yeroami, moto ya Gedori.
And Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Ndambo ya bato ya ekolo ya Gadi bakabwanaki na Saulo mpo na kokende epai ya Davidi, na ndako makasi ya esobe. Bazalaki basoda ya mpiko oyo bayebi kobunda malamu mpe kosalela malamu nguba mpe makonga. Bazalaki makasi lokola nkosi mpe mbangu lokola mboloko na ngomba.
And some of the Gadites, siding with David, went to his strong place in the waste land, great and strong men, trained for war, expert in the use of arms, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were quick-footed like roes on the mountains;
9 Ezeri azalaki mokonzi na bango; Abidiasi, mokonzi ya mibale; Eliabi, mokonzi ya misato;
Ezer their chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 Mishimana, mokonzi ya minei; Jeremi, mokonzi ya mitano;
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11 Atayi, mokonzi ya motoba; Elieli, mokonzi ya sambo;
Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 Yoanani, mokonzi ya mwambe; Elizabadi, mokonzi ya libwa;
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 Jeremi, mokonzi ya zomi; mpe Makibanayi, mokonzi ya zomi na moko.
Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
14 Bato oyo ya libota ya Gadi bazalaki bango nyonso bakonzi ya basoda. Mokonzi oyo azalaki na makasi moke akokaki kobunda na bato nkama moko, mpe oyo alekaki makasi akokaki kobunda na bato nkoto moko.
These Gadites were captains of the army; the least of them was captain over a hundred men, and the greatest over a thousand.
15 Ezalaki bango nde bakatisaki mayi ya Yordani, na sanza ya liboso, tango mayi ya ebale etondaki makasi na bangambo nyonso, mpe bakimisaki bato nyonso oyo bazalaki kovanda na mabwaku, ezala na ngambo ya este to ya weste.
It was they who went over Jordan in the first month, when the river was overflowing, and put to flight all the people of the valleys, to the east and to the west.
16 Bato mosusu ya libota ya Benjame mpe ya Yuda bayaki lisusu kosangana na Davidi na ndako na ye ya makasi.
And some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to David in his strong place.
17 Davidi abimaki mpo na kokutana na bango mpe alobaki: « Soki boyei epai na ngai na makanisi ya kimia mpo ete bosunga ngai, wana ngai mpe bino tokosala boyokani; kasi soki boyei mpo na koteka ngai epai ya banguna na ngai wana maboko na ngai esali mabe te, tika ete Nzambe ya batata na biso azala motatoli mpe akata likambo! »
And David went out to them, and said to them, If you have come in peace to give me help, my heart will be united with yours; but if you have come to give me up to those who would take my life, though my hands are clean from wrongdoing, then may the God of our fathers see it and give you punishment.
18 Boye, Molimo na Nzambe akitelaki Amasayi, mokonzi ya lisanga ya basoda tuku misato, mpe alobaki: « Oh Davidi, tozali ya yo! Tozali elongo na yo, oh mwana mobali ya Izayi! Tika ete kimia ezala na yo, ezala na yo penza; tika ete kimia ezala na moto oyo azali kosunga yo, pamba te Nzambe na yo azali kosunga yo. » Boye Davidi ayambaki bango mpe akomisaki bango bakonzi ya mampinga na ye.
Then the spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, We are yours, David, we are on your side, O son of Jesse: may peace be with you and peace be with your helpers; for God is your helper. Then David took them into his army and made them captains of the band.
19 Ndambo ya bato ya Manase bakendeki kosala boyokani elongo na Davidi tango akendeki elongo na basoda ya Filisitia, mpo na kobundisa Saulo. Kasi Davidi elongo na bato na ye balongaki te kosunga bato ya Filisitia, pamba te sima na bakambi na bango koyokana, babenganaki Davidi mpe balobaki: « Davidi alingi kobomisa biso mpo ete azongisa boyokani na nkolo na ye Saulo! »
And some of the men of Manasseh came over to David, when he went with the Philistines to the war against Saul, but he gave them no help: for the lords of the Philistines, after discussion, sent him away, saying, He will go back to his master Saul, at the price of our lives.
20 Tango Davidi akendeki na Tsikilagi, tala bato ya ekolo ya Manase oyo bakendeki kosala boyokani elongo na ye: Adina, Yozabadi, Yediayeli, Mikaeli, Yozabadi, Eliwu mpe Tsilitai. Moko na moko kati na bango azalaki mokonzi ya bato nkoto moko kati na libota ya Manase.
Then when he went back to Ziklag, there came over to him, of the men of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad and Elihu and Zillethai, captains of thousands from the armies of Manasseh.
21 Basungaki makasi Davidi mpe mampinga na ye, pamba te bango nyonso bazalaki basoda ya mpiko mpe bakomaki bakonzi ya basoda.
And they gave David help against the armed bands, for they were all great men of war, and captains in the army.
22 Mokolo na mokolo, bato bazalaki koya kosunga Davidi kino mampinga na ye ekomaki monene makasi lokola mampinga ya Nzambe.
And from day to day more supporters came to David, till he had a great army like the army of God.
23 Tala motango ya basoda oyo babongisami mpo na bitumba, mpe bayaki epai ya Davidi, na Ebron, mpo na kokweyisa bokonzi ya Saulo mpe kopesa yango epai ya Davidi ndenge Yawe alobaki:
These are the numbers of the chiefs of the armed men, ready for war, who came to David at Hebron, to give the kingdom of Saul into his hands, as the Lord had said.
24 Bato ya Yuda oyo bamemaka nguba mpe makonga: basoda nkoto motoba na nkama mwambe;
There were six thousand, eight hundred spearmen of the children of Judah, armed for war;
25 bato ya libota ya Simeoni: basoda ya mpiko nkoto sambo na nkama moko;
Seven thousand, one hundred of the children of Simeon, great men of war;
26 bato ya libota ya Levi: basoda nkoto minei na nkama motoba;
Of the children of Levi, four thousand, six hundred.
27 mpe lisusu Yeoyada, mokonzi ya libota ya Aron, elongo na basoda na ye nkoto misato na nkama sambo,
And Jehoiada, chief of the family of Aaron, and with him three thousand, seven hundred men;
28 mpe Tsadoki, elenge soda ya mpiko elongo na bakambi ya libota na ye tuku mibale na mibale;
And Zadok, a young man, great and strong in war, with twenty-two captains from his father's people.
29 kati na libota ya Benjame, bato ya libota ya Saulo: basoda nkoto misato, pamba te mingi kati na bango bandimaki kaka kosalela ndako ya Saulo;
And of the children of Benjamin, the brothers of Saul, three thousand; for up to that time the greater part of them had been true to Saul.
30 kati na libota ya Efrayimi: basoda ya mpiko nkoto tuku mibale na nkama mwambe oyo bakenda sango kati na mabota na bango;
And of the children of Ephraim, twenty thousand, eight hundred great men of war, men of great name in their families.
31 kati na ndambo ya libota ya Manase: basoda ya mpiko nkoto zomi na mwambe oyo baponamaki na bakombo na bango mpo na kokomisa Davidi mokonzi;
And from the half-tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, listed by name, came to make David king.
32 kati na libota ya Isakari: bakambi nkama mibale bayaki elongo na bato oyo bango bazalaki kokamba kati na libota na bango; bazalaki na mayele ya kososola tango mpo na kolakisa Isalaele lolenge ya kosala liboso ya makambo;
And of the children of Issachar, there were two hundred chiefs, men who had expert knowledge of the times and what it was best for Israel to do, and all their brothers were under their orders.
33 kati na libota ya Zabuloni: basoda ya mpiko nkoto tuku mitano oyo bayebi kosalela bibundeli nyonso mpe babundaka na motema moko;
Of Zebulun, there were fifty thousand men, who went out with the army, expert in ordering the fight, to give help with all sorts of arms; true-hearted men.
34 kati na libota ya Nefitali: bakonzi ya basoda nkoto moko, elongo na basoda nkoto tuku misato na sambo oyo babundaka na nguba mpe makonga;
And of Naphtali, a thousand captains with thirty-seven thousand spearmen.
35 kati na libota ya Dani: basoda oyo babongisama mpo na bitumba, nkoto tuku mibale na mwambe na nkama motoba;
And of the Danites, twenty-eight thousand, six hundred, expert in ordering the fight.
36 kati na libota ya Aseri: basoda oyo babongisama mpo na bitumba, nkoto tuku minei;
And of Asher, forty thousand who went out with the army, expert in ordering the fight.
37 kati na mabota oyo ezalaki na este ya Yordani: libota ya Ribeni, ya Gadi mpe ndambo ya libota ya Manase, basoda nkoto nkama moko na tuku mibale elongo na bibundeli nyonso ya bitumba.
From the other side of Jordan, there were a hundred and twenty thousand of the Reubenites and the Gadites and the men of the half-tribe of Manasseh, armed with every sort of instrument of war.
38 Basoda oyo nyonso bayaki na Ebron, na milongo ya bitumba mpe na motema moko mpo na kokomisa Davidi mokonzi na Isalaele mobimba. Bana ya Isalaele oyo batikalaki, bango mpe bazalaki na motema moko mpo na kokomisa Davidi mokonzi.
All these men of war, expert in ordering the fight, came to Hebron with the full purpose of making David king over all Israel; and all the rest of Israel were united in their desire to make David king.
39 Basalaki kuna mikolo misato elongo na Davidi; bazalaki kolia mpe komela biloko oyo bandeko na bango babongiselaki bango.
For three days they were there with David, feasting at his table, for their brothers had made ready food for them.
40 Ezala bato oyo bawutaki na libota ya Isakari, ya Zabuloni, ya Nefitali: bango mpe bamemaki bilei likolo ya ba-ane, bashamo, bamile mpe bangombe: farine, gato oyo basala na bambuma ya figi, gato oyo basala na bambuma ya vino ekawuka, masanga ya vino, mafuta, bangombe mpe bameme ebele, pamba te esengo ezalaki kati na Isalaele.
And those who were near, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came with food on asses and camels and mules and oxen, with meal for food and cakes of figs and masses of grapes, and wine and oil and oxen and sheep in great numbers, for there was joy in Israel.
