8 Bana mibali ya Cham: Kushi, Mitsirayimi, Puti mpe Kanana.

The sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 Bana mibali ya Kushi: Seba, Avila, Sabita, Raema mpe Sabiteka. Bana mibali ya Raema: Sheba mpe Dedani.

And, the sons of Cush, Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And, the sons of Raamah, Sheba, and Dedan.

10 Kushi azalaki tata ya Nimirodi oyo azalaki elombe ya liboso ya bitumba kati na mokili.

And, Cush, begat Nimrod, —he, began to be a mighty one in the earth.

And, Mizraim, begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

and Pathrusim, and Casluhim—whence went forth the Philistines, and Caphtorim.

19 Eberi abotaki bana mibali mibale; moko, kombo na ye ezalaki « Pelegi » oyo elingi koloba: Kokabola; pamba te ezalaki na tango na ye nde bakabolaki mabele. Kombo ya mwana mosusu ezalaki « Yokitani. »

And, unto Eber, were born two sons, —the name of the one, was Peleg, for, in his days, was the earth divided, and, the name of his brother, was Joktan.

And, Joktan, begat Almodad, and Sheleph, —and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;

So then Abraham begat Isaac, —the sons of Isaac, were Esau and Israel.

35 Bana mibali ya Ezawu: Elifazi, Reweli, Yewushi, Yaelami mpe Kora.

the sons of Esau, Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.

36 Bana mibali ya Elifazi: Temani, Omari, Tsefo, Gaetami, Kenazi, Timina mpe Amaleki.

The sons of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37 Bana mibali ya Reweli: Naati, Zera, Shama mpe Miza.

The sons of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 Bana mibali ya Seiri: Lotani, Shobali, Tsibeoni, Ana, Dishoni, Etseri mpe Dishani.

And, the sons of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, —and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39 Bana mibali ya Lotani: Ori mpe Omani. Timina azalaki ndeko mwasi ya Lotani.

And, the sons of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, —and, Lotan’s sister, was Timna.

40 Bana mibali ya Shobali: Alivani, Manaati, Ebali, Shefo mpe Onami. Bana mibali ya Tsibeoni: Aya mpe Ana.

The sons of Shobal, Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. And, the sons of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.

41 Mwana mobali ya Ana: Dishoni. Bana mibali ya Dishoni: Emidani, Eshibani, Yitirani mpe Kerani.

The sons of Anah, Dishon, —and, the sons of Dishon, Hamran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

42 Bana mibali ya Etseri: Bilani, Zavani mpe Yaakani. Bana mibali ya Dishani: Utsi mpe Arani.

The sons of Ezer, Bilhan, and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan, Uz and Aran.

43 Tala bakonzi oyo bakambaki Edomi liboso ete Isalaele ekoma kokambama na mokonzi: Bela, mwana mobali ya Beori, oyo kombo ya engumba na ye ezalaki « Dinaba. »

Now, these, are the kings, who reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned a king of the sons of Israel, —Bela the son of Beor, and, the name of his city, was Dinhabah.

46 Tango Ushami akufaki, Adadi, mwana mobali ya Bedadi, akitanaki na ye na bokonzi. Alongaki bato ya Madiani na mokili ya bato ya Moabi. Engumba na ye ezalaki Aviti.

And Husham died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, and, the name of his city, was Avith.

47 Tango Adadi akufaki, Samila, moto ya engumba Masireka, akitanaki na ye na bokonzi.

And Hadad died, —and there reigned in his stead, Samlah of Masrekah.

48 Tango Samila akufaki, Saulo, moto ya engumba Reoboti, engumba oyo etongama pembeni ya ebale, akitanaki na ye na bokonzi.

And Samlah died, —and there reigned in his stead, Shaul, of Rehoboth by the River.

49 Tango Saulo akufaki, Bala-Anani, mwana mobali ya Akibori, akitanaki na ye na bokonzi.

And Shaul died, —and there reigned in his stead, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor.

50 Tango Bala-Anani akufaki, Adadi akitanaki na ye na bokonzi. Engumba na ye ezalaki « Pawu, » mpe kombo ya mwasi na ye ezalaki « Meetabeli. » Meetabeli azalaki mwana mwasi ya Matiredi mpe koko ya Mezaabi.

And Baal-hanan died, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad, and, the name of his city, was Pai, —and, the name of his wife, was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

51 Adadi mpe akufaki. Tala bakombo ya bakambi ya Edomi: Timina, Aliva, Yeteti,

And Hadad died. And there were chiefs of Edom: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth;

52 Olibama, Ela, Pinoni,

chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon;

53 Kenazi, Temani, Mibitsari,

chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar;

54 Magidieli mpe Irami. Bango nde bazalaki bakonzi ya Edomi.

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These, were the chiefs of Edom.
