Pāvilavēstulē Romiešiem 12

1 Tāpēc, brāļi, es jūs lūdzu caur Dieva apžēlošanām, ka jūs savas miesas nodotu par dzīvu, svētu un Dievam patīkamu upuri; tā lai ir jūsu prātīgā Dieva kalpošana.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living, holy sacrifice, unto God acceptable, —your rational divine service;

2 Un nepaliekat šai pasaulei līdzīgi, bet pārvēršaties, savā prātā atjaunodamies, ka jūs varat pārbaudīt, kas ir tas labais un patīkamais un pilnīgais Dieva prāts. (aiōn g165)

And be not configuring yourselves unto this age, but be transforming yourselves by the renewing of your mind, to the end ye may be proving what is the thing willed by God—the good and acceptable and perfect. (aiōn g165)

3 Jo caur to žēlastību, kas man ir dota, es ikvienam jūsu starpā saku, ka nevienam nebūs pārgudram būt vairāk, nekā tam pieklājās gudram būt; bet ka tam būs prātīgi gudram būt, kā kuram Dievs ir izdalījis ticības mēru.

For I say, through the favour which hath been given me, unto every one who is among you, —not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but so to think as to think soberly—as, unto each one, God hath dealt a measure of faith.

4 Jo itin kā mums vienā miesā ir daudz locekļu, bet visiem tiem locekļiem nav vienāds darbs;

For, just as in one body we have many members, yet, all the members, have not the same office,

5 Tāpat mēs daudzi esam viena miesa iekš Kristus, bet savā starpā mēs esam cits cita locekļi.

So, we, the many, are one body in Christ, yet, severally, members one of another.

6 Un mums ir dažādas dāvanas pēc tās žēlastības, kas mums dota.

Now, having gifts of favour, according to the favour given unto us, differing—whether prophesying, [let us use it] according to the proportion of our faith,

7 Ja kam ir praviešu mācība, lai tā saietās ar ticību; ja kam kāds amats, tas lai paliek tai amatā; ja kas māca, tas lai paliek tai mācīšanā;

Or ministering, [use it] in our ministering, or he that teacheth, [let him use his gift] in his teaching,

8 Ja kas pamāca, tas lai paliek tai pamācīšanā; kas ko dod, lai to dara iekš vientiesības; kas valda, lai to dara rūpīgi; kas apžēlojās, lai to dara ar prieku.

Or he that exhorteth, in his exhorting, he that imparteth, [let it be] with liberality, he that taketh a lead, with diligence, he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Mīlestība lai ir bezviltīga; ienīstat ļaunu, pieķeraties labam.

Your love, [be] without hypocrisy, —loathing that which is wicked, cleaving to that which is good;

10 Lai brāļu mīlestība jūsu starpā ir sirsnīga, un godu dodot nākat viens otram pretī.

In your brotherly love, unto one another, being tenderly affectioned, in honour, unto one another, giving preference;

11 Neesiet kūtri iekš tā, kas jums jādara; esiet dedzīgi garā, kalpojiet Tam Kungam.

In business, not slothful, in spirit, fervent, to the Lord, doing service,

12 Esiet priecīgi cerībā, pacietīgi bēdās, pastāvīgi lūgšanās.

In hope, rejoicing, in tribulation, enduring, in prayer, persevering,

13 Nāciet palīgā tiem svētiem viņu vajadzībās; dodiet labprāt mājas vietu.

With the needs of the saints, having fellowship, —hospitality, pursuing.

14 Svētījiet tos, kas jūs vajā, svētījiet un nelādiet.

Bless them that persecute, bless, and do not curse.

15 Līksmojaties ar līksmiem un raudiet ar tiem, kas raud.

Rejoice with them that rejoice, weep with them that weep:

16 Esiet savā starpā vienprātīgi, nedzīdamies pēc augstām lietām, bet turēdamies pazemīgi.

The same thing, one to another regarding, —not the lofty things regarding, but, by the lowly, being led along. Be not getting presumptuous in your own opinion:

17 Neliekaties paši gudri esoši; neatmaksājiet nevienam ļaunu ar ļaunu, turaties pa godam visu cilvēku priekšā.

Unto no one, evil for evil rendering: providing honourable things before all men:

18 Ja tas var būt, no savas puses turat mieru ar visiem cilvēkiem.

If possible—so far as dependeth on you, with all men being at peace:

19 Neatriebjaties paši, mīļie, bet dodiet vietu Dieva dusmībai. Jo ir rakstīts: “Man pieder atriebšana! Es atmaksāšu,” saka Tas Kungs.

Not avenging, yourselves, beloved, but give place unto their anger; for it is written—Mine, is avenging, I, will recompense; —saith the Lord;

20 Tad nu, ja tavs ienaidnieks ir izsalcis, tad ēdini to; ja tas izslāpis, tad dzirdini to. Jo to darīdams tu kvēlainas ogles sakrāsi uz viņa galvu.

But—if thine enemy hunger, be feeding him, if he thirst, be giving him drink; for, this doing, coals of fire, shalt thou heap upon his head.

21 Ļaunums lai tevi neuzvar, bet uzvari tu ļaunumu ar labumu.

Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
