< Psalmi 94 >
1 Kungs, Dievs, Tu atriebējs, ak Tu stiprais Dievs, Tu atriebējs, parādies!
O God, of vengeance, Lord! O God of vengeance, shine forth.
2 Celies, Tu pasaules soģi, atmaksā tiem lepniem pēc viņu nopelna.
Lift up thyself, O judge of the Earth! bring a recompense upon the proud.
3 Cik ilgi tiem bezdievīgiem, Kungs, cik ilgi tiem bezdievīgiem būs priecāties?
How long shall the wicked, O Lord—how long shall the wicked exult?
4 Pārplūstot tie runā pārgalvīgi, un visi ļaundarītāji greznojās.
They sputter, they speak hard things: all the workers of wickedness boast themselves.
5 Ak, Kungs, tie samin Tavus ļaudis un nospiež Tavu īpašumu,
Thy people, O Lord! they crush, and thy heritage they afflict.
6 Atraitnes un svešiniekus tie nokauj un nomaitā bāriņus,
The widow and the stranger they slay, and the fatherless they murder.
7 Un saka: Tas Kungs to neredz, un Jēkaba Dievs to nemana.
And they say, The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not take notice of it.
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye become intelligent!
9 Kas ausi ir dēstījis, vai tas nedzirdēs? Kas aci darījis, vai tas neredzēs?
He that hath planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that hath formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 Kas tautas pārmāca, vai tas nesodīs? Tas, kas cilvēkiem māca atzīšanu,
He that admonisheth nations, shall he not correct? is it not he that teacheth man knowledge!
11 Tas Kungs zin cilvēku domas, ka tās ir nelietīgas.
The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are nought.
12 Svētīgs tas vīrs, ko Tu, Kungs, pārmāci, un kam Tu māci Savu bauslību,
Happy is the man whom thou admonisheth, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:
13 To mierināt bēdu dienās, tiekams bezdievīgam bedri raks.
That thou mayest grant him repose from the days of evil, until the pot be dug for the wicked.
For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.
For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.
16 Kas mani aizstāv pret netaisniem? Un kas man stāv klāt pret ļaundarītājiem?
Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?
17 Ja Tas Kungs nebūtu mans palīgs, tad gan mana dvēsele drīz gulētu klusumā.
Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.
18 Kad es jau sacītu: kāja man slīd, tad Tava žēlastība, ak Kungs, mani tur.
When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.
19 Kad man daudz sirdēstu, tad Tava iepriecināšana ielīksmo manu dvēseli.
In the multitude of my [painful] thoughts within me, thy consolations delight my soul.
Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?
21 Tie sapulcējās pret taisnā dvēseli un pazudina nenoziedzīgas asinis.
They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.
But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.
23 Un Viņš tiem atmaksās viņu noziegumu un tos izdeldēs viņu blēdībā. Tas Kungs, mūsu Dievs, tos izdeldēs.
And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: [yea], he will destroy them—the Lord our God.
