< Psalmi 73 >

1 Asafa dziesma. Tiešām, Dievs ir Israēla labums, tiem, kam sirdis ir šķīstas.
Truly Elohim is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
7 No taukiem spīd viņu acs, viņu sirdsdomās plūst pāri.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8 Tie zobo, runā nikni no varas darba, tie lielās pārlieku.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9 Tie paceļas ar savu muti līdz debesīm, un viņu mēle šaujās pa zemes virsu.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10 Tādēļ ļaudis piemetās tiem klāt, un tiem rodas ūdens papilnam,
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11 Un tie saka: kā Dievs zinās? Un vai tas Visuaugstais ir zinātājs?
And they say, How doth El know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
Behold, these are the wicked, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
14 Un biju mocīts cauru dienu, un sods bija man klāt ik rītu.
For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15 Tomēr ja es sacītu: es runāšu tāpat kā viņi, redz, ar to es apgrēkotos pie Tavu bērnu draudzes.
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
16 Tāpēc es domāju, ka es to varētu saprast, bet tas bija visai grūti priekš manām acīm,
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
Until I went into the sanctuary of El; then understood I their end.
18 Tiešām, tu tos vedi uz slidenām vietām un tos nogāzi, ka tie iet postā.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19 Kā viņi tik piepeši iet bojā! Tie iznīkst un iet bojā ar briesmām.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O YHWH, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
21 Kad rūgta taptu man sirds un riebtu man īkstis,
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
23 Bet pie Tevis es palieku vienmēr; Tu mani turi pie manas labās rokas.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25 Kad Tu esi mans, tad man nevajag ne debess, ne zemes.
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but Elohim is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
28 Bet man tas ir prieks, tuvu būt pie Dieva, ka es savu cerību lieku uz To Kungu Dievu, ka es izteicu visus Tavus darbus.
But it is good for me to draw near to Elohim: I have put my trust in the Sovereign YHWH, that I may declare all thy works.
