Psalmi 52

1 Dāvida mācības dziesma dziedātāju vadonim, Kad Doēgs, tas Edomietis, nāca un Saulam sludināja un tam sacīja: Dāvids ir nācis Aķimeleka namā. Ko tu lielies ar ļaunumu, tu varmāka? Dieva žēlastība pastāv vienmēr.

To the Overseer. — An instruction, by David, in the coming in of Doeg the Edomite, and he declareth to Saul, and saith to him, 'David came in unto the house of Ahimelech.' What, boasteth thou in evil, O mighty one? The kindness of God [is] all the day.

2 Tava mēle meklē postu kā trīts dzenams nazis, tu viltus perētājs.

Mischiefs doth thy tongue devise, Like a sharp razor, working deceit.

3 Tu mīļo ļaunumu vairāk nekā labumu, un melus vairāk nekā taisnību. (Sela)

Thou hast loved evil rather than good, Lying, than speaking righteousness. (Selah)

4 Tu labprāt runā posta vārdus, tu viltus mēle.

Thou hast loved all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

5 Tad Dievs arī tevi postīs mūžīgi, Viņš tevi sagrābs un tevi izraus no dzīvokļa, un izsakņos no dzīvības zemes. (Sela)

Also — God doth break thee down for ever, Taketh thee, and pulleth thee out of the tent, And He hath uprooted thee Out of the land of the living. (Selah)

6 Un tie taisnie to redzēs un bīsies un smiesies par viņu:

And the righteous see, And fear, and laugh at him.

7 Redzi, tas ir tas vīrs, kas Dievu neturēja par savu spēku, bet paļāvās uz savu lielo bagātību; tas bija varens savā ļaunumā.

'Lo, the man who maketh not God his strong place, And trusteth in the abundance of his riches, He is strong in his mischiefs.'

8 Bet es būšu kā zaļš eļļas koks Dieva namā, es paļaujos uz Dieva žēlastību mūžīgi mūžam.

And I, as a green olive in the house of God, I have trusted in the kindness of God, To the age and for ever,

9 Es Tev pateikšos mūžam, ka Tu to esi darījis, un gaidīšu uz Tavu Vārdu, jo tas ir labs priekš Taviem svētiem.

I thank Thee to the age, because Thou hast done [it], And I wait [on] Thy name for [it is] good before Thy saints!
