< Psalmi 47 >
1 Koraha bērnu dziesma. Dziedātāju vadonim. Plaukšķinājiet priecīgi, visi ļaudis, un gavilējiet Dievam ar priecīgu balsi.
You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!
2 Jo Tas Kungs, tas visuaugstais, ir bijājams, liels ķēniņš pa visu zemi.
Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!
3 Viņš sadzīs tautas apakš mums, un ļaudis apakš mūsu kājām.
He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].
4 Viņš mums izrauga mūsu mantojumu, Jēkaba godību, ko Viņš mīļo. (Sela)
He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.
5 Dievs uzkāpj ar gavilēšanu, Tas Kungs ar skaņu bazūni.
God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.
6 Dziediet Dievam, dziedājiet; dziediet mūsu Ķēniņam, dziedājiet.
Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!
7 Jo Dievs ir Ķēniņš pār visu zemi, dziediet Viņam dziesmu.
God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!
8 Dievs valda pār pagāniem, Dievs sēž uz Sava svētā krēsla.
God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.
9 Tautu lielkungi sapulcējušies par tautu Ābrahāma Dievam, jo zemes varenie pieder Dievam; Viņš ir ļoti paaugstināts.
The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
