Psalmi 20

1 Dāvida dziesma. Dziedātāju vadonim. Lai Tas Kungs tevi paklausa bēdu laikā, lai Jēkaba Dieva vārds tevi paaugstina.

To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Yahweh answer thee, in the day of distress, The Name of the God of Jacob give thee safety;

2 Lai Viņš tev palīdzību sūta no svētās vietas un tevi spēcina no Ciānas.

Send thy help out of the sanctuary, and, out of Zion, sustain thee;

3 Lai Viņš piemin visus tavus upurus, un tavus dedzināmos upurus tur par trekniem.

Remember every present of thine, and, thine ascending-sacrifice, esteem. (Selah)

4 Lai Viņš tev dod pēc tavas sirds, un piepilda visus tavus padomus.

Give thee according to thy heart, and, all thy purposes, fulfil.

5 Mēs priecāsimies par tavu pestīšanu, un sava Dieva vārdā mēs celsim karogu; lai Tas Kungs piepilda visas tavas lūgšanas.

We will shout aloud in thy salvation, and, in the Name of our God, shall we become great, Yahweh fulfil all thy petitions.

6 Nu es zinu, ka Tas Kungs Savam svaidītam palīdz; Viņš to paklausīs no Savām svētām debesīm caur Savas labās rokas stipro pestīšanu.

Now, do I know that Yahweh, hath saved, his Anointed One, —He answereth him out of his holy heavens, by the mighty saving deeds of his own right hand.

7 Šie paļaujas uz ratiem un šie uz zirgiem, bet mēs pieminam Tā Kunga, sava Dieva, vārdu.

These, by chariots, and, those, by horses, but, we, by the Name of Yahweh our God, will prevail.

8 Tie ir gāzušies un krituši, bet mēs esam cēlušies un stāvam.

They, have bowed down and fallen, but, we, have arisen, and stand upright.

9 Ak Kungs, palīdzi ķēniņam! Lai viņš mūs paklausa tai dienā, kad saucam.

Yahweh, hath saved the king. Answer us, then, on the day when we call.
