Psalmi 149

1 Alleluja! Dziediet Tam Kungam jaunu dziesmu, svēto draudze lai Viņu teic.

Hallelujah. Sing unto the Lord a new song, his praise in the congregation of the pious.

2 Israēls lai priecājās iekš sava Radītāja, Ciānas bērni lai līksmojās par savu Ķēniņu!

Let Israel rejoice in his Maker: let the children of Zion exult in their King.

3 Lai tie Viņa vārdu teic ar stabulēm, lai tie Viņam dzied ar bungām un koklēm.

Let them praise his name in the dance: with the timbrel and harp let them sing praises unto him.

4 Jo Tam Kungam labs prāts pie Saviem ļaudīm, Viņš pagodina bēdīgos ar pestīšanu.

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people; he will adorn the meek with salvation.

5 Svētie priecāsies godā, tie līksmosies savās gultās.

Let the pious be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their couches.

6 Viņu mute paaugstinās Dievu, un viņu rokās būs abējās pusēs griezīgs zobens,

The exalted praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword is in their hand;

7 Atriebties pie pagāniem un sodīt tautas,

To execute vengeance on the nations, and chastisements on the people:

8 Saistīt viņu ķēniņus ķēdēs un viņu lielkungus dzelzs pinekļos,

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron:

9 Darīt tiem pēc tās tiesas, kas ir rakstīta. Tāds gods būs visiem Viņa svētiem. Alleluja!

To execute upon them the judgment [which is] written: this is an honor for all his pious servants. Hallelujah.
