1 Svētku dziesma. Kungs, piemini Dāvidu un visas viņa rūpes.

A Song of degrees. Jehovah, remember for David all his affliction;

2 Tas Tam Kungam zvērējis un solījies Jēkaba varenajam:

How he swore unto Jehovah, vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 Es neiešu sava nama dzīvoklī, es nekāpšu savas gultas cisās;

I will not come into the tent of my house, I will not go up to the couch of my bed;

4 Es nedošu savām acīm miegu redzēt nedz snaust saviem acu vākiem;

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, slumber to mine eyelids,

5 Līdz kamēr būšu atradis vietu Tam Kungam un mitekli Jēkaba varenajam.

Until I find out a place for Jehovah, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob. ...

6 Redzi, mēs par to esam dzirdējuši Efratā, mēs to esam atraduši Jaāra laukos.

Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah, we found it in the fields of the wood.

7 Iesim Viņa mājas vietā un pielūgsim priekš Viņa kāju pamesla.

Let us go into his habitations, let us worship at his footstool.

8 Celies, Kungs, uz Savu dusas vietu, Tu un Tavas spēcības šķirsts;

Arise, Jehovah, into thy rest, thou and the ark of thy strength.

9 Lai Tavi priesteri apģērbjās ar taisnību, un Tavi svētie lai gavilē.

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, and let thy saints shout for joy.

10 Neatmet Sava svaidītā vaigu, Sava kalpa Dāvida dēļ.

For thy servant David's sake, turn not away the face of thine anointed.

11 Tas Kungs Dāvidam tiešām ir zvērējis, no tā Viņš nenovērsīsies: No tavas miesas augļiem būs, ko celšu uz tavu godības krēslu.

Jehovah hath sworn [in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne;

12 Ja tavi bērni turēs Manu derību un Manu liecību, ko Es tiem mācīšu, tad arī viņu bērni sēdēs uz tava godības krēsla mūžīgi.

If thy children keep my covenant, and my testimonies which I will teach them, their children also for evermore shall sit upon thy throne.

13 Jo Tas Kungs Ciānu ir izredzējis, tur Viņam gribās dzīvot.

For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his dwelling:

14 Šī ir Mana dusas vieta mūžīgi, šeit Es dzīvošu, jo tās Man gribās.

This is my rest for ever; here will I dwell, for I have desired it.

15 Svētīdams Es svētīšu viņas barību un paēdināšu viņas nabagus ar maizi,

I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy ones with bread;

16 Un apģērbšu viņas priesterus ar pestīšanu, un viņas svētie gavilēt gavilēs.

And I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17 Tur Es Dāvidam uzcelšu ragu, došu spīdekli Savam svaidītam.

There will I cause the horn of David to bud forth; I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

18 Viņa ienaidniekus Es apģērbšu ar kaunu, bet viņam ziedēs viņa kronis.

His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
