< Psalmi 10 >
1 Kāpēc Tu, Kungs, stāvi no tālienes, paslēpies bēdu laikā?
Wherefore, O Lord, standest thou afar off? hidest thyself in times of distress?
2 No bezdievīgā lepnības bailes nāk nabagam; lai tie top gūstīti savās blēņās, ko tie izdomājuši.
In the pride of the wicked doth he hotly pursue the poor: they are seized through the plans that those have devised.
3 Jo bezdievīgais lielās ar savas dvēseles kārību, plēsējs lād, viņš zaimo To Kungu.
For the wicked boasteth of the longing of his soul, and the robber blesseth himself when he hath despised the Lord.
4 Bezdievīgais savā lielā lepnībā nebēdā par nevienu; visas viņa domas ir: Dieva neesam.
The wicked, according to the pride of his wrathfulness, [saith, ] He will not require, There is no God [in] all his plans.
5 Viņa ceļi allažiņ izdodas, Tava sodība ir tālu no viņa; šņākdams viņš turas pret visiem saviem pretiniekiem.
Prosperous are his ways at all times; far in the height [remain] thy punishments away from him: all his assailants—he puffeth at them.
6 Viņš saka savā sirdī: es netapšu kustināts, jo ļaunumā es nenākšu līdz radu radiem.
He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; I shall be for many generations, and without adversity.
7 Viņa mute pilna lāstu un viltus un varmācības, apakš viņa mēles ir grūtums un bēdas.
Of the false oaths is his mouth full, and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and wickedness.
8 Viņš, sēž paslēpies aiz sētām, viņš nokauj nenoziedzīgo slepenās vietās, viņa acis glūn uz nabagu.
He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes search for the unfortunate.
9 Viņš glūn slepenībā kā lauva savā alā, viņš glūn sakampt bēdīgo, viņš sakampj bēdīgo, to ievilkdams savā tīklā.
He lieth in wait in a secret place like a lion in his den; he lieth in wait to snatch up the poor: he snatcheth up the poor, as they draweth him into his net.
10 Viņš tup un nometās un uzkrīt ar varu nelaimīgiem.
He croucheth, he bendeth himself, and the unfortunate fall through his might.
11 Viņš saka savā sirdī: Dievs ir aizmirsis, Viņš Savu vaigu apslēpis, Viņš neredz ne mūžam.
He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten; he hath hidden his face; he will never see it.
12 Celies, ak Dievs Kungs, pacel Savu roku, neaizmirsti bēdīgos.
Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thy hand: forget not the afflicted.
13 Kādēļ bezdievīgais Dievu zaimos un sacīs savā sirdī: Tu nemeklēsi?
For what doth the wicked despise God? [why] doth he say in his heart, Thou wilt not require it?
14 Tu gan redzi, jo Tu uzlūko mokas un sirdēstus, likdams to Savās rokās; nelaimīgais uz Tevi paļaujas, Tu esi bāriņa palīgs.
Thou hast seen it: for thou beholdest mischief and despiteful acts, to requite it with thy hand: unto thee the unfortunate committeth himself; unto the fatherless hast thou [ever] been a helper.
15 Salauz bezdievīgā elkoni un meklē ļaunā bezdievību, ka to vairs neatrod.
Break thou the arm of the wicked; and of the bad man—thou wilt inquire for his wickedness [till] thou find none.
16 Tas Kungs ir ķēniņš mūžīgi mūžam; pagāni ir bojā gājuši no Viņa zemes,
The Lord is King for ever and ever: nations are perished out of his land.
17 Nabagu ilgošanos Tu klausi, ak Kungs! Tu viņiem sirdi stiprini, Tava auss to liek vērā,
The longing of the afflicted dost thou hear, O Lord! thou wilt strengthen their heart, thou wilt cause thy ear to listen:
18 Tiesu nesdams bāriņam un apspiestam, lai cilvēks, kas no zemes, vairs nedara varas darbus.
To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that not farther more shall be arrogant the mortal from the earth.
