1 Gudrs dēls klausa tēva pārmācīšanai, bet mēdītājs neklausa rāšanai.
A son wise [the] discipline of a father and a mocker not he listens to a rebuke.
2 Ikviens baudīs labumu no savas mutes augļiem, bet netiklo prieks ir mokas.
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person he eats good thing[s] and [the] appetite of treacherous [people] [is] violence.
3 Kas sarga savu muti, tas pasargā savu dvēseli; bet kas muti palaiž, tam briesmīgi klāsies.
[one who] guards Mouth his [is] protecting life his [one who] opens lips his ruin [belongs] to him.
4 Sliņķa dvēsele iekāro, - bet nekā; bet čaklo dvēsele dabū papilnam.
[is] coveting And nothing appetite his a sluggard and [the] appetite of diligent [people] it will be made fat.
5 Taisnais ienīst melu valodu, bet bezdievīgais paliek kaunā un apsmieklā.
A word of falsehood he hates a righteous [person] and a wicked [person] he acts odiously and he may act shamefully.
6 Taisnība pasargā to, kas bezvainīgs savā ceļā, bet bezdievība gāž grēkos.
Righteousness it preserves integrity of way and wickedness it subverts sin.
7 Cits lielās, ka bagāts, kam nav it nenieka, un cits turas kā nabags, un tam liela manta.
There [is one who] enriches himself and there not [is] anything [one who] impoverishes himself and wealth great.
8 Bagātam, kad apvainojies, par dvēseli jāmaksā; bet kas nabags, tas nedzird draudus.
[the] ransom of [the] life of A person [is] wealth his and a poor [person] not he hears a threat.
9 Taisno gaišums spīdēs priecīgi, bet bezdievīgo spīdeklis apdzisīs.
[the] light of Righteous [people] it rejoices and [the] lamp of wicked [people] it is extinguished.
10 Caur lepnību nāk riešana vien, bet gudrība dara apdomīgus.
Only with pride it gives contention and [is] with [those who] receive advice wisdom.
11 Manta vēja grābeklim iet mazumā, bet kas rokā sakrāj, tas to vairo.
Wealth from vanity it will become small and [one who] gathers on hand he will increase.
12 Cerība, kas kavējās, grauž sirdi, bet kad nāk, ko gaida, tas ir dzīvības koks.
Hope deferred [is] making sick [the] heart and [is] a tree of life a desire [which] comes.
13 Kas par vārdu nebēdā; tas dara sev postu; bet kas mācību tur godā, tam labi klāsies.
[one who] despises A word he will be pledged to it and [one] fearing a commandment he he will be rewarded.
14 Gudra vīra mācība ir dzīvības avots, izsargāties no nāves valgiem.
[the] instruction of A wise [person] [is] a fountain of life to turn aside from [the] snares of death.
15 Mīlīgs prāts dara patīkamu, bet netikļa ceļš dara sāpes.
Insight good it gives favor and [the] way of treacherous [people] [is] enduring.
16 Gudrais (savu darbu) dara apdomīgi, bet ģeķis dara aklus darbus.
Every sensible [person] he acts with knowledge and a fool he spreads out foolishness.
17 Bezdievīgs kalps iekritīs nelaimē, bet uzticams kalps ir zāles, kas dziedina.
A messenger wicked he falls in trouble and an envoy of faithfulness [is] healing.
18 Kas par mācību nebēdā, tam nāk tukšība un kauns; bet kas pamācīšanu pieņem, tas kļūs godā.
Poverty and shame [one who] ignores discipline and [one who] keeps correction he is honored.
19 Kad notiek, ko cerē, tas dvēselei gards; bet atstāties no ļauna ģeķiem ir negantība.
A desire done (is pleasing *LAH(b)*) to a person and [is] an abomination of fools to turn aside from evil.
20 Kas draudzējās ar gudriem, tas taps gudrs; bet kas ģeķiem biedrs, tiks postā.
([one who] walks *Q(K)*) With wise [people] (he will become wise *Q(K)*) and [one who] associates with fools he will be harmed.
21 Nelaime dzīsies grēciniekiem pakaļ, bet taisniem ar labu tiks atmaksāts.
Sinners it pursues calamity and righteous [people] it rewards good.
22 Kas ir labs, tā manta nāk uz bērnu bērniem; bet grēcinieka krājums taisnam top pataupīts.
A good [person] he leaves an inheritance to children of children and [is] stored up for the righteous [the] wealth of a sinner.

Abundance of food [the] unplowed ground of poor [people] and there [is what] is swept away in not justice.
24 Kas rīksti taupa, tas ienīst savu dēlu; bet kas viņu mīļo, tas to pārmāca drīz.
[one who] restrains Rod his [is] hating son his and [one who] loves him he seeks early him discipline.
25 Taisnais ēd, kamēr viņa dvēselei gan; bet bezdievīgo vēders paliek tukšs.
A righteous [person] [is] eating to [the] satiety of appetite his and [the] belly of wicked [people] it is lacking.
