1 Kad nu mūris bija uztaisīts, tad es iecēlu durvis, un vārtu sargi un dziedātāji un leviti tapa iecelti,
And it came to pass, when the wall was built, that I set up the doors; and then were appointed the gatekeepers and the singers and the [other] Levites [to their office].
2 Un es pavēlēju savam brālim Hananum un Hananijam, Jeruzālemes pils virsniekam, (jo tas bija uzticams vīrs un dievbijīgs pār daudziem),
And I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the commander of the fortress, charge over Jerusalem; for he was esteemed a faithful man, and one that feared God these many days.
3 Un uz tiem sacīju: Lai Jeruzālemes vārti netop atdarīti, pirms saule nesilda, un tiem vēl klāt esot durvis lai atkal aizslēdz un aizšauj. Un Jeruzālemes iedzīvotājus ieceļat par sargiem, ikkatru uz savu vakti un ikkatru savam namam pretim.
And I said unto them, The gates of Jerusalem must not be opened until the sun be hot; and while ye stand by, let them shut the doors, and do ye bar them; and station watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite to his house.
4 Bet pilsēta bija plata un liela un ļaužu tur bija maz un nami nebija uzcelti,
But the city was roomy in space and large: while the people therein were few, and the houses were not yet built.
5 Tad mans Dievs man iedeva sirdī, sapulcināt virsniekus un priekšniekus un tos ļaudis, lai sarakstītu radu rakstus. Un es atradu vienu radu rakstu grāmatu par tiem, kas pirmie bija pārnākuši, un es atradu, ka tur tā bija rakstīts:
Then did my God put it into my heart, and I assembled together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might give in their genealogy; and I found a register of the genealogy of those who were come up at the first, and I found written therein:

7 Kas nākuši ar Zerubabeli, ar Ješuū, Nehemiju, Azariju, Raāmiju, Naēmanu, Mordohaju, Bilšanu, Mizperetu, Biģevaju, Neūmu, Baēnu. Šis ir Israēla vīru skaits.
Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua', Nehemiah, 'Azaryah, Ra'amyah, Nachamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Misspereth, Bigvai, Nechum, Ba'anah. The number of the men of the people of Israel was:

14 Zakajus bērni: septiņsimt sešdesmit;
The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
15 Banus bērni: sešsimt četrdesmit astoņi;

16 Bebajus bērni: sešsimt divdesmit astoņi;
The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
17 Azgada bērni: divtūkstoš trīssimt divdesmit divi;
The children of 'Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
18 Adonikama bērni: sešsimt sešdesmit septiņi;
The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and seven.
19 Biģevajus bērni: divtūkstoš sešdesmit septiņi;
The children of Bigvai, two thousand sixty and seven.
20 Adina bērni: sešsimt piecdesmit pieci;
The children of 'Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
21 Atera bērni no Hizkijas (nama): deviņdesmit astoņi;

30 Rāmas un Gabas vīri: sešsimt divdesmit viens;
The men of Ramah and Gaba', six hundred twenty and one,
31 Mikmasas vīri: simts divdesmit divi;
The men of Michmass, one hundred twenty and two.
32 Bēteles un Ajas vīri: simts divdesmit trīs;
The men of Beth-el and 'Ai, one hundred twenty and three.
33 Otra Nebus vīri: piecdesmit divi;
The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.
34 Otra Elama bērni: tūkstoš divsimt piecdesmit četri;
The children of the other 'Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty and four.
35 Harima bērni: trīssimt divdesmit;
The children of Charim, three hundred and twenty.
36 Jērikus bērni: trīssimt četrdesmit pieci;
The people of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.
37 Lodas, Adidas un Onus bērni: septiņsimt divdesmit viens;
The people of Lod, Chadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty and one.

The temple-servants: The children of Zicha, the children of Chassupha, the children of Tabba'oth,
47 Ķerus bērni, Ziūs bērni, Padona bērni,
The children of Keross, the children of Si'a, the children of Padon,
48 Lebana bērni, Agaba bērni, Zalmajus bērni,
The children of Lebana, the children of Chagaba, the children of Salmai,
49 Anana bērni, Ģideļa bērni, Gaāra bērni.
The children of Chanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gachar,
50 Reajus bērni, Recina bērni, Nekoda bērni,
The children of Reayah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda.
51 Gazama bērni, Uzus bērni, Paseūs bērni,
The children of Gazzam, the children of 'Uzza, the children of Passeach.
52 Besajus bērni, Meūnima bērni, Nevusima bērni,
The children of Bessai, the children of Me'unim, the children of Nephishessim,
53 Bakbuka bērni, Akuva bērni, Arura bērni,
The children of Bakbuk, the children of Chakupha, the children of Charchur.
54 Baceluta bērni, Mekida bērni, Arsas bērni,
The children of Bazlith, the children of Mechida, the children of Charsha,
55 Barkus bērni, Sisera bērni, Tamus bērni,
The children of Barkoss, the children of Sissera, the children of Thamach,
56 Necius bērni, Ativus bērni,
The children of Neziach, the children of Chatipha.
57 Salamana kalpu bērni, Sotajus bērni, Sofereta bērni, Pridus bērni,
The children of Solomon's servants: The children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 Jaēlus bērni, Darkona bērni, Ģideļa bērni,
The children of Ya'ala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 Šefatijas bērni, Atila bērni, Poķereta bērni no Cebaīm, Amona bērni,
The children of Shephatyah, the children of Chattil, the children of Pochereth-hazzebayim, the children of Amon.
60 Dieva nama kalpotāju un Salamana kalpu bērnu bija pavisam trīssimt deviņdesmit divi.
All the temple-servants, and the children of Solomon' servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61 Un šie pārnāca līdz no TelMelakas, TelArzus, Ķeruba, Adona, Imera. Bet tie sava tēva namu un savu dzimumu nevarēja pierādīt, vai tie bija no Israēla.
And these were they who came up from Thel-melach, Thelcharsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not tell their family division and their descent, whether they were of Israel.
62 Delajas bērni, Tobijas bērni, Nekoda bērni: sešsimt četrdesmit divi.
The children of Delayah, the children of Tobiyah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63 Un no priesteriem: Abajus bērni, Akoca bērni, Barzilajus bērni, kas no Barzilajus, tā Gileādieša, meitām sievu bija ņēmis, un pēc viņa vārda bija nosaukts.
And of the priests: The children of Chobayah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai who had taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gil'adite, and was called after their name.
64 Šie savus radu rakstus meklēja bet neatrada; tāpēc tie no priestera amata tapa atmesti.
These sought for their family register, but it was not found: wherefore they were excluded, as unfit, from the priesthood.
65 Un zemes soģis uz tiem sacīja: lai neēd no tā vissvētākā, tiekams priesteris celtos ar urim un tumim.
And the Thirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with the Urim and Thummim.
66 Visa šī draudze bija kopā: četrdesmit divi tūkstoši trīssimt sešdesmit,
The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty:
67 Bez kalpiem un kalponēm, - šo bija septiņtūkstoš trīssimt trīsdesmit septiņi. Un tiem bija divsimt četrdesmit pieci dziedātāji un dziedātājas.
Besides these were their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred and forty and five singing men and singing women.
68 Viņu zirgu bija septiņsimt trīsdesmit seši, viņu zirgēzeļu divsimt četrdesmit pieci,
Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;
69 Kamieļu četrsimt trīsdesmit pieci, ēzeļu seštūkstoš septiņsimt divdesmit.
[Their] camels, four hundred thirty and five: [their] asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 Un no cilts virsniekiem šie deva ko pie tā darba: zemes soģis piemeta pie tās mantas tūkstoš zelta gabalus, piecdesmit bļodas un piecsimt trīsdesmit priesteru svārkus.
And a portion of the chiefs of the divisions gave unto the work. The Thirshatha gave to the treasure, of gold one thousand drachms, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty coats for the priests.
71 Un no cilts virsniekiem piemeta pie tās mantas uz to darbu divdesmit tūkstoš zelta gabalus un divtūkstoš divsimt mārciņas sudraba.
And some of the chiefs of the divisions gave to the treasury of the work, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand and two hundred manehs.
72 Un ko tie citi ļaudis meta, tas bija divdesmit tūkstoš zelta gabali un divtūkstoš mārciņas sudraba un sešdesmit septiņi priesteru svārki.
And what the rest of the people gave was, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand manehs, and priests coats sixty and seven.
73 Un priesteri un leviti un vārtu sargi un dziedātāji un tie ļaudis un tie Dieva nama kalpotāji un viss Israēls dzīvoja savās pilsētās.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the temple-servants, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities: and so came round the seventh month, while the children of Israel were in their cities.
