Maleachija 2
1 Un nu, jūs priesteri, šis bauslis jums ir dots:
And now, O priests, this commandment is to you.
2 Ja jūs negribat klausīt, nedz ņemt pie sirds, Manam Vārdam dot godu, saka Tas Kungs Cebaot, tad Es sūtīšu lāstu pret jums un nolādēšu jūsu svētību, tiešām, Es to nolādēšu, tāpēc ka jūs neņemat pie sirds.
If you will not listen, and if you will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory to my name, says the Lord Almighty, then I will send forth the curse upon you, and I will bring a curse upon your blessing: yes, I will curse it, and I will scatter your blessing, and it shall not exist among you, because you lay not this to heart.
3 Redzi, Es jums maitāšu sēklu un kaisīšu sūdus uz jūsu vaigiem, jūsu svētku sūdus, tā ka jūs līdz ar tiem tapsiet izmēzti.
Behold, I turn my back upon you, and I will scatter dung upon your faces, the dung of your feasts, and I will carry you away at the same time.
4 Tad jūs samanīsiet, ka Es šo bausli pie jums esmu sūtījis, ka tā būtu Mana derība ar Levi, saka Tas Kungs Cebaot.
And you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant might be with the sons of Levi, says the Lord Almighty.
5 Mana derība ar viņu bija dzīvība un miers, un to Es viņam devu, lai Mani bīstas, un viņš Mani bijās, un viņš drebēja priekš Mana Vārda.
My covenant of life and peace was with him, and I gave [it] him that he might reverently fear me, and that he might be awe-struck at my name.
6 Patiesības bauslība bija viņa mutē, un nelietība nebija atrodama uz viņa lūpām. Viņš ar Mani staigāja mierā un taisnībā un atgrieza daudz ļaudis no nozieguma.
The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked before me directing [his way] in peace, and he turned many from unrighteousness.
7 Jo priestera lūpām būs sargāt atzīšanu, un no viņa mutes būs meklēt mācību, jo viņš ir Tā Kunga Cebaot vēstnesis.
For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty.
8 Bet jūs esat nogriezušies no ceļa, jūs esat darījuši, ka daudz pie bauslības piedauzījušies, jūs Levja derību esiet samaitājuši, saka Tas Kungs Cebaot.
But you have turned aside from the way, and caused many to fail in [following] the law: you have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the Lord Almighty.
9 Tad Es arīdzan jūs esmu darījis nievājamus un necienīgus priekš visiem ļaudīm, tāpēc ka jūs neturat Manus ceļus, bet bauslībā uzlūkojiet cilvēka vaigu.
And I have made you despised and cast out among all the people, because you have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
10 Vai mums visiem nav viens tēvs? Vai viens Dievs mūs nav radījis? Kāpēc tad mēs cits citam neturam ticību, bet sagānam savu tēvu derību?
Have you not all one father? Did not one God create you? why have you forsaken every man his brother, to profane the covenant of your fathers?
11 Jūda netur ticību, un iekš Israēla un Jeruzālemē notiek negantība. Jo Jūda sagānījis Tā Kunga svētumu, ko viņš mīļo, un precējis sveša dieva meitu.
Juda has been forsaken, and an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Juda has profaned the holy things of the Lord, which he delighted in, and has gone after other gods.
12 Tas Kungs lai izdeldē tam vīram, kas tā dara, no Jēkaba dzīvokļa tos, kas prasa un kas atbild, un tos, kas upurē Tam Kungam Cebaot.
The Lord will utterly destroy the man that does these things, until he be even cast down from out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and from among them that offer sacrifice to the Lord Almighty.
13 Otrkārt jūs šo dariet: jūs Tā Kunga altāri apklājat ar asarām, ar raudām un ar nopūtām, tā ka Viņš to upuri vairs nevar ieredzēt nedz labprāt saņemt no jūsu rokām.
And these things which I hated, you did: you covered with tears the altar of the Lord, and with weeping and groaning because of troubles: [is it] meet [for me] to have respect to your sacrifice, or to receive [anything] from your hands [as] welcome?
14 Tad jūs sakāt: Kāpēc tā? Tāpēc ka Tas Kungs ir liecinieks starp tevi un tavas jaunības sievu, kurai tu ticību neesi turējis, un viņa tomēr ir tava biedrene un tava saderētā sieva.
Yet you said, Therefore? Because the Lord has borne witness between you and the wife of your youth, whom you has forsaken, and [yet] she was your partner, and the wife of your covenant.
15 Tā neviens nav darījis, kam vēl gars atlicies. Bet ko tas viens darīja? Viņš meklēja dzimumu no Dieva. Tāpēc sargājaties savā garā, un neatstāji savas jaunības sievu.
And did he not do well? and [there was] the residue of his spirit. But you said, What does God seek but a seed? But take you heed to your spirit, and forsake not the wife of your youth.
16 Jo Es ienīstu šķiršanu, saka Tas Kungs, Israēla Dievs, un to, kas savas drēbes apgāna ar varas darbu, saka Tas Kungs Cebaot; tāpēc sargājaties savā garā, ka turat ticību.
But if you should hate [your wife] and put her away, says the Lord God of Israel, then ungodliness shall cover your thoughts, says the Lord Almighty: therefore take you heed to your spirit, and forsake [them] not,
17 Jūs apkaitināt To Kungu ar savu valodu; bet jūs sakāt: ar ko mēs Viņu apkaitinājām? Ar to, ka jūs sakāt: kas ļaunu dara, tas ir labs priekš Tā Kunga acīm, un pie tādiem Viņam ir labs prāts, jeb: kur ir tas Dievs, kas soda?
you that have provoked God with your words. But you said, Wherein have we provoked him? In that you say, Every one that does evil is a pleasing [object] in the sight of the Lord, and he takes pleasure in such; and where is the God of justice?
