Trešā Mozus 11
1 Un Tas Kungs runāja uz Mozu un uz Āronu un uz tiem sacīja:
The Lord told Moses and Aaron,
2 Runājiet uz Israēla bērniem un sakāt: šie ir tie lopi, ko jūs varat ēst no visiem lopiem, kas virs zemes:
“Give these instructions to the Israelites. These are the animals you are allowed to eat:
3 Visus lopus, kam šķelti nagi, kam nagi šķelti divējos gabalos, un kas gremo, tos ēdat.
any animal that both has a divided hoof and also chews the cud.
4 Bet šos jums nebūs ēst no tiem, kas gremo un kam šķelti nagi: kamieļi, jo tas gan gremo, bet tam nav šķelti nagi; to jums būs turēt par nešķīstu;
However, if it either chews the cud, or has a divided hoof, then you may not eat it. These include: the camel, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.
5 Un trusi, jo tas gan gremo, bet tam nav šķelti nagi, to jums būs turēt par nešķīstu;
The rock hyrax, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.
6 Un zaķi, jo tas gan gremo, bet tam nav šķelti nagi, to jums būs turēt par nešķīstu;
The hare, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.
7 Un cūku, jo tai gan šķelti nagi un šķelti divējos gabalos, bet tā negremo, to jums būs turēt par nešķīstu.
The pig, which though it has a divided hoof doesn't chew the cud, so it is unclean for you.
8 No viņu gaļas jums nebūs ēst nedz viņu maitas aizskart, tos jums būs turēt par nešķīstiem.
You are not to eat their meat or touch their bead bodies. They are unclean for you.
9 Šos ēdat no visa, kas ūdenī: visu, kam ir spuras un zvīņas ūdenī, jūrā un upēs, to varat ēst.
You are allowed to eat any creature with fins and scales that lives in the water, whether in the sea or in fresh water.
10 Bet visu, kam nav spuru un zvīņu ūdenī un upē, no visa, kas ūdenī kust, un no visa, kas dzīvo ūdenī, to jums būs turēt par negantu.
But you are not allowed to eat any of the many creatures that don't have fins and scales that live in the water, whether in the sea or in fresh water.
11 To jums būs turēt par negantu, jums no viņu gaļas nebūs ēst, un viņu maitas jums būs turēt par negantām.
They are repulsive. You must not eat their meat, and you must treat their dead bodies as repulsive.
12 Visu, kam nav spuru un zvīņu ūdenī, jums būs turēt par negantu.
All such water creatures that don't have fins and scales are to be repulsive to you.
13 Un no putniem šos jums būs turēt par negantiem, ka jūs tos neēdat: šie lai jums ir neganti: ērglis un sarkandzeltenais ērglis un melnais ērglis.
As for the birds, these must not be eaten because they are repulsive: eagle, griffon vulture, bearded vulture,
14 Un lija un vanags pēc savas kārtas.
buzzard, kite and similar birds of prey,
15 Un visi kraukļi pēc savas kārtas
any raven or crow,
16 Un strauss un bezdelīga un ķīris un vēja vanags pēc savas kārtas
tawny owl, long-eared owl, gulls, any kind of hawk,
17 Un apogs un maitas lija un ūpis
little owl, fish owl, eagle owl,
18 Un pūce un dumpis un gulbis,
barn owl, desert owl, Egyptian vulture,
19 Stārķis, kalnu vanags pēc savas kārtas, badadzeguze un sikspārnis.
storks and any kind of heron, hoopoe, and bats.
20 Visi spārnainie līdēji, kas iet uz četrām kājām, lai jums ir negantība.
All flying insects that crawl are repulsive to you.
21 Bet tos ēdat no visiem spārnainiem līdējiem, kas uz četrām kājām iet; kam augšām pie savām kājām ir lieli, ar ko tie pa zemi lēkā.
But you can eat the following kinds of flying insects that crawl: those that have jointed legs they use to jump.
22 Šos no tiem ēdat: siseni pēc viņa kārtas un zolamu pēc viņa kārtas un argolu pēc viņa kārtas un agabu pēc viņa kārtas (zolams, argols un agabs ir siseņu kārtas).
So in this category you can eat any kind of locust, bald locust, cricket, or grasshopper.

and if you pick up one of their dead bodies you must wash your clothes, and you will be unclean until the evening.
26 Visus lopus, kam nagi šķelti, bet nav šķelti divējos gabalos un kas negremo, tos jums būs turēt par nešķīstiem; kas tos aizskar, tam būs būt nešķīstam.
Every animal with hooves that are not divided, or that does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. If you touch any of them you will be unclean.
27 Un visiem četrkājīgiem zvēriem, kam kājas ar asiem nagiem, tie lai jums ir nešķīsti; kas viņu maitas aizskar, tas būs nešķīsts līdz vakaram.
Any four-legged animal that walks on its paws are unclean for you. If you touch their dead bodies you will be unclean until the evening,
28 Un kas viņu maitas ir nesis, tam savas drēbes būs mazgāt un nešķīstam būt līdz vakaram; tie lai jums ir nešķīsti.
and if you pick up one of their dead bodies you must wash your clothes, and you will be unclean until the evening. They are unclean for you.
29 Un starp tiem līdējiem, kas virs zemes lien, šie lai jums ir nešķīsti: sērmulis, pele, bruņurupucis pēc savas kārtas,
The following animals that run along the ground are unclean for you: rats, mice, any kind of large lizard,
30 Sesks, hameleons, ķirzaka, gliemezis un kurmis.
gecko, monitor lizard, wall lizard, skinks, and chameleon.
31 Tos no visiem līdējiem jums būs turēt par nešķīstiem; kas tos aizskar, kad tie miruši, tam būs nešķīstam būt līdz vakaram.
These animals that run along the ground are unclean for you. If you touch a dead one of them you will be unclean until the evening.
32 Un uz ko kas no tiem kritīs, kad tie ir miruši, tam būs nešķīstam būt, lai tas ir kāds koku trauks, vai drēbes, vai āda, vai maiss, vai kāds rīks, ar ko kāds darbs top darīts, - to būs ūdenī iebāzt un tam būs nešķīstam būt līdz vakaram, pēc tas būs šķīsts.
Anything that one of them dies and lands on becomes unclean. Whatever it is—something made of wood, clothing, leather, sackcloth, or any work tool—it must be washed with water and will be unclean until the evening. Then it will become clean.

If one of them falls into a clay pot, all that's in it becomes unclean. You must smash the pot.

If water from that pot touches any food, that food becomes unclean, and any drink from a pot like that also becomes unclean.

Anything that one of their dead bodies falls on becomes unclean. If it's an oven or a stove, it must be smashed. It is permanently unclean for you.

On the other hand, if it's a spring or cistern containing water then it will remain clean, but if you touch one of these dead bodies in it you will be unclean.
37 Un ja kas no viņu maitām kritīs uz sēklu, kas ir sējama, tā ir šķīsta.
Similarly, if one of their dead bodies falls on any seed used for sowing, the seed remains clean;
38 Bet ja ūdens top liets pār sēklu, un tad kas no tādām maitām uzkrīt, tad jums to būs turēt par nešķīstu.
but if the seed has been soaked in water and one of their dead bodies falls on it, it is unclean for you.
39 Ja kāds lops mirst, kas jums ir par barību, - kas viņa maitu aizskar, tam būs nešķīstam būt līdz vakaram.
If an animal that you are allowed to eat dies, anyone who touches the dead body will be unclean until the evening.
40 Un kas no viņa maitas ir ēdis, tam būs savas drēbes mazgāt un nešķīstam būt līdz vakaram; un kas viņu maitu nes, tam būs savas drēbes mazgāt un nešķīstam būt līdz vakaram.
If you eat anything from the dead body you must wash your clothes and you will be unclean until the evening. If you pick up the dead body you must wash your clothes and you will be unclean until the evening.
41 Un visu, kas lien virs zemes, jums būs turēt par negantu, to nebūs ēst.
Every animal that crawls along the ground is repulsive—you must not eat it.
42 Visu, kas uz sava vēdera lien, un visu, kas virs zemes lien uz četrām kājām, līdz ar visu, kam daudz kājas, to jums nebūs ēst; lai tas jums ir negants.
Don't eat any animal that crawls along the ground, whether it moves on its belly or walks on four feet or many feet. All such animals are repulsive.
43 Neapgānāt savas dvēseles ar nekādiem līdējiem, kas lien, un nedariet sevi nešķīstus pie tiem, ka jūs caur tiem netopat apgānīti.
Don't defile yourselves by any such crawling animal. Don't make yourselves unclean or defiled by them,
44 Jo Es esmu Tas Kungs, jūsu Dievs, tāpēc jums būs svētīties un svētiem būt, jo Es esmu svēts; un jums nebūs savas dvēseles apgānīt ar neko, kas lien virs zemes,
because I am the Lord your God; so dedicate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Don't defile yourselves by any animal that crawls along the ground.
45 Jo Es esmu Tas Kungs, kas jūs izvedis no Ēģiptes zemes, lai Es jums esmu par Dievu; tad esat svēti, jo Es esmu svēts.
I am the Lord who led you out of Egypt so that I could be your God. So be holy, because I am holy.
46 Šis ir tas likums par lopiem un putniem un par visām dzīvām dvašām, kas kust ūdenī, un par visām dvašām, kas lien virs zemes, -
These are the regulations about animals, birds, everything that lives in the water, and all animals that crawl along the ground.
47 Ka jūs varat izšķirt nešķīstu no šķīsta, un putnus, kas ēdami, no putniem, kas nav ēdami.
You must recognize the difference between unclean and clean, between those animals that can be eaten and those that can't.”
