1 Nāciet klāt, pagāni, klausīties, un tautas, ņemiet vērā! Lai dzird zeme un kas tur mīt, pasaule un viss, kas tur rodas!
Come near ye nations to hear, And, ye races, attend, —Let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof, The world and all things produced therefrom:
2 Jo Tā Kunga dusmība ir pār visiem pagāniem un bardzība pār visu viņu pulku; Viņš tos izdeldēs un tos nodos uz kaušanu.
That Yahweh hath wrath against all the nations, and indignation against all their host, —He hath devoted them to destruction He hath delivered them to slaughter;
3 Un viņu nokautie taps nosviesti, un no viņu līķiem celsies smaka, un kalni izkusīs no viņu asinīm.
And their slain shall be cast out, And their carcases, the stench of them shall ascend, —And, the mountains, shall melt away with their blood.
4 Un viss debesu pulks iznīkst, un debesis top satītas kā grāmatu rullis, un viss viņu pulks savīst, tā kā lapas vīst pie vīnakoka, un kā tās vīst pie vīģes koka.
Then shall be dissolved all the host of the heavens, And the heavens shall roll up as a scroll, —Yea, all their host, shall fade—Like the fading and falling of a leaf from a vine, and Like what fadeth and falleth from a fig-tree.
5 Jo Mans zobens ir dusmu pilns debesīs; redzi, tas nolaidīsies par sodību uz Edomu un uz tiem ļaudīm, ko Es izdeldēšu.
For my sword hath been sated in the heavens, —Lo! upon Edom, shall it descend, Even on the people whom I have devoted to justice.
6 Tā Kunga zobens aptraipās asinīm un taukiem, jēru un āžu asinīm, aunu īkšķu(nieru) taukiem; jo Tam Kungam ir upurēšana Bocrā un liela kaušana Edoma zemē.
A sword, hath Yahweh—Glutted with blood Sated with fat, —With the blood of well-fed lambs and he-goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams, —For, a sacrifice, hath Yahweh in Bozrah, Yea a great slaughter in the land of Edom;
7 Tad sumbri līdz ar viņiem kritīs pie zemes, un jauni vērši līdz ar barotiem, un viņu zeme būs piedzērusies no asinīm un viņu pīšļi taps trekni no taukiem.
Then shall buffaloes come down with them, And bullocks with bulls, —So shall their land be soaked with blood, And, their dust, with fat, shall be enriched.
8 Jo šī būs atriebšanas diena Tam Kungam, atmaksāšanas gads, lai Ciāna dabū taisnību.
For a day of avenging, hath Yahweh, —A year of requitals for the quarrel of Zion.
9 Un (Edoma) upes pārvērtīsies par darvu un viņa pīšļi par sēru, un viņa zeme taps par degošu darvu.
Then shall the torrents thereof be turned into pitch, And the dust thereof, into brimstone, —So shall her land become burning pitch:
10 Ne nakti, ne dienu tas neizdzisīs, bet viņas dūmi uzkāps mūžīgi, līdz cilšu ciltīm tā būs postā, neviens tur nestaigās ne mūžam.
Neither night nor day, shall it be quenched, To times age-abiding, shall ascend the smoke thereof, —From generation to generation, shall it be waste, Never, never, shall any pass through it:
11 Bet pelikāns un ezis to iemantos, un pūce un krauklis tur mājos; jo viņš to atmēros tuksnesim un nosvērs postam.
That the vomiting pelican and the bittern may possess it: And the great owl and the raven, dwell therein; Then will he stretch out over it The line of desolation, and The plummet of emptiness.
12 Viņas cienīgie, - tiem vairs nebūs ķēniņa, ko lai izsauc, un visi viņas lielkungi būs par nieku.
Her nobles (but none, are, there)! unto royalty, will call, —All, all her princes, shall become nought.
13 Un viņas skaistos namos uzdīgs ērkšķi, nātres un dadži viņas pilīs, un būs mājas vieta vilkiem un pagalms jauniem strausiem.
Then shall come up, in her palaces thorns Nettles and thistles in her fortresses, —And she shall become A home for wild dogs, An enclosure for ostriches;
14 Tur satiekās tuksneša vilki un šakāļi, un jods(āžkāja) brēc uz jodu, ir nakts biedēklis tur apmetīsies un dusēs.
Then shall criers meet with howlers, And, the shaggy creature, unto his fellow, shall call, —Only, there, shall, the night-spectre, Make her settlement, And find for herself a place of rest:
15 Un tas lēkātājs zalktis tur darīs ligzdu un dēs un perēs un sapulcinās savu perēkli apakš savas ēnas, arī vanagi viens ar otru tur pulcēsies.
There, shall, the arrow-snake, Make her nest and lay, And hatch and gather under her shadow, —Only, there, shall be gathered the falcons, every one with her mate.
16 Meklējiet Tā Kunga grāmatā un lasiet! Neviena no tiem netrūkst, tie visi sarodas kopā; jo (Tā Kunga) mute to ir pavēlējusi, un Viņa Gars tos sapulcinās.
Seek ye out of the scroll of Yahweh, and read, Not, one from among them, is lacking, None, hath missed, her mate, —For, a mouth, hath, itself commanded, And, his spirit, hath itself gathered them:
17 Un Viņš pats tiem to daļu nolēmis, un Viņa roka tiem to ir nomērojusi par tiesu, mūžam tie to paturēs, uz dzimumu dzimumiem tie tur mitīs.
Yea he himself, hath cast for them a lot, And his own hand, hath given to them a portion by line, —Unto times age-abiding, shall they possess it, To generation after generation, shall they dwell therein.
